I made it 2.5 years without getting so much as a door ding on my leased car...so of course, with 6 months left in the lease, some idiot dragged his teal car across the front passenger-side corner in a parking lot, denting & scraping the quarter panel and bumper. With one week until the lease-end inspection and turn-in, I headed up to Sun Auto Werks for an estimate, and ended up handing them the car on the spot. Four business days later, it was ready for pickup, looking as good as new for less than half the price a dealer quoted me! When I turned in the car the next day, a lease inspector commented about the quality of the repair, calling their paint work "expert" - apparently it's not always easy to match factory metallic tri-coat paint, especially after it's had a few years to fade, but Sunny and his crew pulled it off flawlessly. The general manager was so impressed with the condition of the car (and the low mileage) that, rather than having me turn the car in, he ended up buying me out of my lease so he could sell the car as certified pre-owned! Hopefully I won't have to take my new car to Sunny's for bodywork, but if that anonymous idiot with the teal car strikes again, I won't take it anywhere else. read more

This is my first time visiting the auto shop. The cleanliness of the place is cleaner than most places I've taken my car to be serviced. I just got some work done replacing emission sensors and they discovered an exhaust leak on my 11 year old car. The customer service is second to none with friendly and honest service. The first time I brought my car here was for an oil change. The experience was very good so when my car started to get a little sick, they were the first place i thought to go. I was really stressed because i was trying to go the cheap route and order the part I needed through a third party... Huge mistake. The third party ended up ordering the wrong part. I was livid! So thats when i called Sunny and told them to just find the part for me. I was so upset that i didn't originally have them get it for me because i would have had my car WAY sooner. They were very understanding and nice to me. They kept me updated on everything that was going on with my car. I was at ease knowing i could trust them and they were not trying to take advantage of me being a girl in a auto shop. I talked with them so much they know my voice when i call! I have been to this shop several times over the last couple of years. The customer Service is really great which seems to be an overwhelming observation. Wait time is fair. Location is good. They always take me right away. Communication is excellent. WARNING never trust the prices especially if you are a woman and you appear young!!! The last time I went there they gave me a quote that was 828.83$ I waited 2-3 hours for the Quote (They included services that were significantly beyond what I was asking for - and I was very clear and specific about what I needed and repeated it several times) When I went to a different shop I had the services I needed preformed for Literally under 13.00$ and my problem was immediately resolved within 10 min. I only go when I'm desperate and I walk in knowing that they are going to over price me and try and sell me on services that I am not seeking in the moment. They always tell me my car is old (2010) and impossible to fix 0r find parts for under 500.00 and yet if they can't help me someone else magically always can. UPDATE 12/2/17: I brought my car in for an oil change and told them about a squeaking noise I hear when driving. I wasn't really concerned about the squeaking noise, but they checked it out anyways. My front brakes were replaced just a little over a year ago (1 year and 3 months) and Sunny offers a 1 year warranty on them. He said that he would replace them again with no charge even though it was 3 months past the warranty. He gave us a good time to come in to replace them so that we wouldn't have to wait too long. Was in and out in less than an hour. Amazingly nice of him to extend the warranty even though it was technically past due just so we could save some money. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

After getting scammed by another Auto Mechanic shop through Planet Super Saver, they transferred my deal over here to Sun Auto Werks as it was well reviewed. It was for a simple oil change but I will say that the owner Sunny was very professional and courteous, took care of my car right away, and even recommended a restaurant down the block after I asked him if it would be okay for my girlfriend and I to grab lunch and come back to pick up the car. Unlike most auto mechanic shops I've been to recently, Sun Auto Werks has a very clean lobby, actually respects appointment times, and has excellent customer service. Sunny and his Uncle are awesome! Was kinda of scared taking my car to a mechanic I didn't know or recommend by family member. I need my transmission fluid flush and replace and the mechanic I normally go to was not available plus he lives all the way in Addison. It's such a pain going there last time I had to drop the car off and I had to take an uber home. My daughter and I walk in and Sunny greeted us. I told him about the problem mind you he wanted to check first to see if that was it. They dont hassle to sell you anything. I was right about the transmission and thank God I got it fix right away. Transmission is a very costly job. Plus I like the fact that they educate you on your car and tells you what it needs. I will be going back there again soon. called sun auto werks for a brake job cause my brakes started to grind. the owner said to bring it by anytime, and he will get it done that day. he didn't try to up sell the job, was more than fair on the price, and very honest about what needed to be done. he even stayed open after hours to finish the job so i could get my truck back that day. most fair priced brake job i've ever had. oh, and he removed my side rails on my truck for free. i asked him how much it would cost to do it. he said he would have to see how difficult it would be, and when we squared up i noticed he didn't charge me anything for the removal. wow... where does that happen. read more

I had a problem with my power steering on our Ford Flex. Stopped by on Saturday morning, they took a look, and got back to me with a couple estimates (OEM parts or dealer parts). Gave me options, which I appreciated. They got the work done in the time frame they committed and also lent me a vehicle so I could get my kids to a birthday party. Did not go in here, so I can't speak on their work at all..writing this because I had a wheel literally come off my car while driving less than a block away from this shop, it was very terrifying. Luckily everything looked in alright shape somehow still, but I needed a jack to put the wheel back on. So I go here and explain to them what happened, begging for help, just to lend me a jack for a minute. I got told they only have "big jacks", nothing small. The mechanic didn't seem to care at ALL, didn't offer any assistance whatsoever and reminded me several times about how they were closing, especially after I asked about what damage I could've done to the car with this happening. I luckily had someone pull over and help me out. This place has absolutely no compassion and does not care about people. Awful awful experience....you would think a shop would want to do their job and help people, but not this place if it's closing in less than 10 minutes, even when someone is legitimately begging and feeling very down after going through something horrifying. read more
