Very disappointed in my repair. I took my 2011 Nissan Maxxima in with a power steering leak. They looked at the car and said it was leaking from a high pressure hose and I believe a transfer switch. They charged about 600.00 dollars and had the car 3 days saying the wanted to make sure they fixed the leak. I thought they fixed the leak , but two years later the leak was back. I took the car back , they had the car 2days this and said it was the rack and peninon that was leaking. I think it was the problem in the first place. I would not recommend anyone to those shop. PS. This outfit just tried to sell my daughter an air filter that was amost perfectly clean. Which is normal since it was replaced last oil change. What really got me going is the fact that they called ball jounts unsafe(without listing spec of the supposed play) but only mentioned the cracked tires as recommended. It also needs an alignment according to their photos but perhaps they don't do that either. They provide a fancy report that is ignorant of automotive service standards. This review is lengthy and detailed, just a forewarning. On 5/20/25, I went to this Sun Auto Service for a diagnostic test of my vehicle (I must note that my vehicle is an unmodified and factory standard 2016 Dodge Dart). The wait was short, and I was told that they would get to my vehicle very soon. After paying the $99.99 for the diagnostic, I left to go run errands expecting a phone call to alert me of any possible issues with my car and when it was ready to hit the road. However, TWO and a HALF HOURS after I left, I received a phone call my car was "activating many codes" revolving around my engine, brakes, and suspension. Upon arriving back at the location, I was told that "[my] breaks were weak, and the brake rotors were warped. Also, my forward and back engine mounts are damaged, and my front right control arm was destroyed." Not only that, but when asked how much the charge would be to fix all these items, I was told that the final charge would be $2,600, with my front 2 breaks and rotors costing $700 alone (I can get all 4 of my brakes and rotors replaced at other places for $450 on average). Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. When asked if I could negotiate a lower price, I was told to my face by the person at the front desk that "We make too much money at this location to negotiate prices with customers." At that moment, not only was what was said condescending, but it also insulting. As a response, I told the front desk that I was going to get a second opinion. Unfortunately, my negative experience doesn't end here. This is because of, when I got my second opinion at another business, I was told that my car had NOT a SINGLE ONE of these problems. In fact, this location SHOWED me that my brakes AND rotors on all of my wheels were perfectly fine. They also told me that my engine mounts were also perfectly fine and that my front right control arm was also NOT destroyed, but simply rusty. Additionally, at this other place, the entire price to fix my car was only $1,900, a significant reduction in price compared to Sun Auto Services. Despite my car now running in great condition, I simply had to let people who do business here be aware of this incident. I understand that mistakes can be made, and that slip ups can happen. However, what truly made this situation utterly disappointing was that, as a customer, my time was wasted, I was lied to, and I was insulted. If I could give this business 0 stars, I would. I've been taking my vehicle for an oil change to this business for approximately one year. One day, my vehicle overheats. Come to find out, it's leaking radiator fluid. They must have never checked my fluids every single month that I dropped off my vehicle for an oil change. They wanted to charge me $1800 to change the radiator!! When I called the Lexus dealership, which is the make of my vehicle, they quoted me $500 cheaper than Sun Auto. We all know dealerships are a lot more expensive than a shop. Argued with them regarding the quote I received from Lexus, and they said that they it's because they do more work than Lexus. What's. Joke. Then they said that they would work with me. All they did, was work up their labor fees. The total cost was $1700. This place is complete BS! read more

Do not go here! Brought my VW in for an oil change. By the time I got home I had no oil left in my car. They had me tow it back to the shop, keep it for 3 days, make me keep calling to check on status and told me they would reimburse me and have failed to do so.they blamed their incompetence on a oil filter. When I called for reimbursement for towing etc they said they weren't going to honor that. They also told me I had an oil leak to repair when I first left the shop that was $650 worth of repairs. After having my car, making me miss work on a busy weekend with no transportation they then told me that I didn't actually have an oil leak! (Which I knew I didn't) Taking it all up with their corporate office. Side note- while getting oil changed another customer had been there over 4 hrs for an oil change because they emptied his transmission fluid instead. STAY AWAY! read more

I have never in my life been treated with the disrespect I just received from Jama. I took my SUV there 2 weeks ago for wheel work. After still feeling vibrations in my car, I had the Cadillac service team review. Not only were all the tires out of balance, but also out of alignment which is the service I paid for. They also put a wheel back on incorrectly which can ultimately lead to the wheel coming of while driving down the road. A lug nut was also missing. Instead of trying to rectify the situation, I was hung up on, told I "was not listening and that's my problem is I am not listening" when trying to get the managers name and when he will be there. I have my records from Cadillac to show all of the work Cadillac had to do to correct their error. Just when I though this place respected women (from a previous experience) --- I am wrong. Disgusting behavior and bad work. Don't take your car here. This place has gone downhill. read more

When paying, I had to argue with the front desk employee to obtain the correct price; his prices were a bit less of a standard price; then he offered $10 off, not even matching the discount, then finally he charged the discounted price for price. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Sun Auto at 11930 Louetta Rd. Last year, i asked the manager to recommend a motor oil. He recommended Mobile 1 synthetic. He claimed that he used it in his own vehicle. Fast forward to my next oil change. The same manager was recommending a different oil to a different customer. Again, he claimed to use it himself. Back again for an overpriced coolant flush. I mentioned the oil recommendation issue to the "new" manager. He immediately started with an aggressive tone towards me. He said that the previous manager never made that statement. Came in for a state inspection and was charged $155 for a coolant replacement I did not agree to. The gentleman pulled me into the garage to show me my coolant was low. He told me I should replace it soon. I thanked him for letting me know. Next i know I was charged for the job. At no point was their an offer to replace the coolant or an acceptance of an offer. Don't go here if you need an inspection! Just spent 35 minutes waiting for an inspection! There seemed to have been a problem in another bay but it took the whole staff to talk about it while they would look over at us and then keep talking outside. Meanwhile my car was sitting by the front door for at least 15 minutes. I finally had to ask the next person who eventually came in if my car was done... yes? Ok, good. I came in for an oil change in my Ford truck. Initially, why I came to Sun Auto in the first place was they mailed me a coupon for an oil change with full-synthetic for a very competitive price. Upon arriving the service mgr tells me that the price on the coupon isn't good for my vehicle. Well, Sun Auto service manager, "IF THE COUPON ISN'T FOR ALL VEHICLES, IT'S CALLED FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!" Against my better judgement, I went ahead and got my oil change there. Then a few days later I noticed that my truck was starting to leak oil. Instead of taking it back to the hell hole called Sun Auto, I took it to a trusted mechanic friend who discovered the clown that changed my oil didn't even have the common sense to tighten my oil filter. Pulled in to get an oil change. There were 3 bays open and employees standing around in the bays. No other customers were there or waiting. As I approached the counter. The counter boy was chatting with someone and then said "Can I help you boss"?. Boss? How about "sir" or something that shows a little respect to the person who is about to support the company that pays you for doing something. I told him that I needed an oil change. He said that there was a 45 minute to 1 hour wait. (They were closing in an hour). He asked me if that was ok. I said No and walked out. As I was leaving, I overheard counter boy call me an asshole. I've taken a lot of my vehicles there in the past as have my wife and daughters. I try to get past the fact that the employees try to upsell my family but no more. I don't ask for much. Lack of customer service! 3 weeks ago i went into this location to get my oil changed. I was told that they did not have my oil filter and would have to order it. The manager said he would call me when it came in. After 3 weeks i had not received a call so i decided to go in today. The employee behind the counter said they had it in stock and i told him i would be back in a couple of hours to have my oil changed. The employee said okay. I go back in 2 hours later and the employee NOW SAYS HE DOES NOT HAVE IN STOCK but can have it delivered in 20 to 30 minutes. This is unacceptable! Even more unacceptable is the I don't give a shit attitude this employee has. I should have been told it was out of stock to begin with! the manager from 3 weeks ago should have called me! Dropped of my truck because I had a small nail in the top of one of my tires causing a slow leak. Was told it wouldn't be long and they'd call when it was done. I went to lunch with my daughter and received a phone call telling me my tires were worn and they had a hell of a sale, buy 3 and get one free for only $1000.00. I advised that I knew they were close and I'd be getting new tires from the Toyota dealer soon and that I had bought several sets from them over years and it typically cost hundreds less than his quote. He countered with something like well if you don't want the extended warranty protection... I stopped him and said "please just fix the flat", he said "okay". When I returned to the shop, I was told "like so and so said on the phone the tire can't be repaired". I said no one told me that, and the sole purpose of his call was trying to sell me tires. The guy behind the desk was cordial, but had a deer in the headlights look, and meekly repeated his we can't repair the tire line. I asked for my keys and left. I went to another tire shop and had the nail removed and hole patched, I also called several tire shops and got prices ranging from $500 to $600, installed. I'll call the Toyota dealer on Monday and I'll bet its price will be similar. I should have looked on Yelp first because it seems like inspections are the only thing this place does well. read more
