Loved the deck/patio. Ours had a hot tub which in the evening was perfect in the 60s.

Shred Life Eco Hostel…read more I'm giving Zach 5 stars. Because he's a beautiful human who cares about people. He takes his hostel seriously and is constantly working on projects and cleaning up after people. The kitchen access was wonderful, fully stocked to cook a meal. The hiker shelves were great. We found shampoo and conditioner and even some brand new razors. Laudry available on site was greatly appreciated with all the soap, oxyclean and dryer sheets that you needed. The girls bunk room was nicely made up with clean linens and fresh towels provided. Everyone was nice and respectful. We were able to leave our belongings in lockers while we slack packed. Zach even called us on trail to see if we were okay after it had gotten dark.  If you're looking for something pristine, this isn't the place for you. It's 420 bachelor pad that has creatively been turned into a hostel and room rentals. Perfect for the trail weary traveler or snowboarder who needs a hot shower, clean clothes and a safe place to lay their head.

Pretty dirty, pretty disappointing, pretty sad we spent money on this place. Bought two nights but…read morejust stayed the one. When we packed up around 11am we tried to find someone to let know but everyone was passed out, including someone in a car in the driveway. Maybe this is the vibe for someone and maybe the private room is a better bet... we really just didn't appreciate people coming into our "all lady" bunk room at 4am/our roommate actively using when our only goal was to get a little extra sleep. If you want to spend money to be around folks on drugs then this is the place for you! Wouldn't recommend. Maybe we were just there on a bad day. But dang... it was pretty bad.

Tumbling River Ranch - Chalet Cabin

Tumbling River Ranch

Forget Disneyland, Tumbling River Ranch is "the happiest place on earth." Actually, "happy"…read moredoesn't do it justice -- TRR is a magical. We've done two trips to TRR with our extended family -- before we leave, we're already planning our next visit, and calling our friends to come as well. Why so great? Well, for one, Scott and Meghan make the experience frictionless. We arrived on Sunday and barely made a plan after that. Every night, they helped us plan our next day. Did we want to do a trail ride? Hike? Fish? Massage? Relax in our room? Whatever we wanted to do, every detail was planned. And our young kids went off on their own adventures with the incredible staff of wranglers and counselors. And the food. Oh, the food. On a typical vacation with family, every few hours I'm thinking about when and where we'll take the kids to eat. At TRR, they literally rang a breakfast/lunch/dinner bell, called everyone to a central hall, and served a delicious, family-style meal. And the nights all brought new adventures, from a cookout to a private concert to a "fancy dinner" for the grown ups (while the kids played capture the flag). On the last day, the whole ranch gathers for a rodeo, and we got to watch our normally timid kids jump headfirst into barrel rides and keyhole tricks... followed by a nighttime square dance I'll never forget. Our only complaint is the week flew by too fast. Thanks Meghan and Scott for a vacation we'll never forget. See you next time!

This is a wonderful, heartwarming vacation ranch. The activities were very organized, the ranch…read morehands were extremely friendly and the owners, Megan & Scott, were very involved. The ranch itself is beautiful! We slept with our cabin windows open to enjoy the fresh mountain air & the sound of the tumbling river! On our next visit, We would love to be able to bring our entire family with us.
