Despite the lack of cleanliness, the price was decent so I cleaned up what I could and we went about our vacation. Then nightfall happened. We experienced excessive screaming, laughter, fights and cussing, door slamming and adults coming in and out of the hot tub well into the early hours of the morning. There is a sign on the hot tub that says food or beverages aren't allowed in the area and that the hot tub closes at 10 p.m. There was a full on party going on around the hot tub with all of those rules being broken. No one came to shut the hot tub down at 10 p.m. I called the condo manager when it became very late and my children were struggling to sleep well after midnight, and they said it was not their concern and if I wanted it handled I could call the police. I asked them to call the police on my behalf, as I was from another state, didn't own the property, would be staying near the partiers for the next several days and didn't want any trouble. I just wanted my young kids to get some sleep. The manager was rude and refused, essentially mocking me. The next morning I went out to enjoy the hot tub with the kids and the area was trashed. There were alcohol bottles and cans everywhere, paper plates disintegrating in the water, the cover was left off overnight and the hot tub smelled terrible. It wasn't safe for the kids. We went back up to the room and figured they would come sometime in the morning to clean. Later into the afternoon it was still not cleaned. I called the condo manager to ask when they were coming to clean the hot tub and they said they would make a call. The hot tub was not ever cleaned before we left, so we never got to use it. Night after night it was the same story, hard to fall asleep because no one enforced the hot tub rules. Exhaustion made for a tough vacation for a few of us. If you have kids, heed my warning and save your sanity. There are condos within the same price range in the same neighborhood with way better reviews and amenities. The property manager for this condo does not care, will not enforce their rules, and doesn't clean the condos or the shared public spaces well.

My friend brought me here, saying, if I'm going to try any hostel, anywhere in the world, it should be here or his other favorite - in Wales. It is a gorgeous autumn in Colorado, so Breckinridge it is. How incredibly fortunate for me that my first hostel was here. I'm constantly reminded that not every hostel is so nice. What a lovely place. Well appointed, so clean - which is all important in this pandemic time. Everyone is friendly. We stayed in a 6-bunk room with a total 4 ppl in it. The less agile (that'd be me) was lucky to get a lower bunk (not sure how that works, we lucked out that not all the berths were full!) The other two ppl were solo travelers, one from South America, the other from Russia. They were friendly and polite. We all did our own thing; I crashed out early, so I wasn't bothered at all that another guest had to pack luggage for an early flight out the next day. There are outlets at each bunk, even USB chargers And a lamp which was a necessity when hvg to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I thought the room was comfortable; temps got down into the 30's overnight but I was comfortably cozy in my bed with its duvet; there were extra blankets in the closet if needed. My friend thought it too warm but he runs that way, but he slept thru the night fine too. A word about the bedding: mine was fine, clean, smelled clean. But one of the other bunks had yellowed bedding - with stains. I presume it was washed and cleaned just looked used, and if you got there in daylight or with all the lights on, one would hv seen it, but I didn't till the next morning when we were getting ready to leave and that might've bn off putting. I came down early, just before sunrise The general areas were at a comfortable temp. Wasn't time yet for breakfast, but some kind soul had already started the coffee. I went for a walk, took some pix, came back once guests had started to straggle in. What a friendly, informative bunch! My friend tells me that's most hostel-goers. And the food was pretty good, pancakes, eggs, cereal; I got the oatmeal and an English muffin. The coffee smelled really good. And I was so happy they had powdered hot chocolate too! Special mention must be made of Belage (sorry, may hv misspelled) but he is a welcoming, knowledgeable host and made us feel at home. If you come here, please contribute positively. I worry that the wrong sort would detract from such a lovely accommodation and experience. And yeah, I'll hv to keep in mind that almost certainly other hostels aren't like this, but it is now my gold standard.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The other highlight was that there is a gorgeous path and stream you can walk along behind the houses (and nearby hotel). It's picturesque and even has fish. I'm giving it only a 4 star review because when we arrived at the property we were surprised to find that our house sat on a corner overlooking a hotel and large parking lot. If we used our hot tub we were staring at the hotel windows and the parking lot. It was not scenic or at all private, which was disappointing, especially given the pricing for the property. They had other properties which were farther away from the hotel which would have been much nicer.

Day 2 we head out for a hike and notice a horrible smell in the basement form both bathrooms. We call to report that morning to paragon so someone can check it out. While we're gone I get correspondence from Paragon relaying they are sending out additional repairmen. Apparently something is wrong with the tank. I decided to call at 5pm as we'd been out all day hiking and having a late lunch to see if the bathrooms were usable. The staff communicate no water was to be run which meant no shower and no toilets. When I asked Paragon staff what type of compensation we would get for the major inconvenience, she responded...you should feel grateful the basement didn't flood. Apparently Paragon wasn't grateful we helped them by reporting the smell immediately?! As for that evening, it was the ONLY night we had reservations for a nice evening out to dinner therefore a shower was necessary. We return back to the house all windows and garage door wide open with all of our belongs inside without anyone making repairs. It was left open by the repairman, his response when he got back..."I was only gone for a little while." Oh and...it smelt like literal s**t!! The smell was nauseating! At this point we made efforts to arrange new lodging but everywhere was booked. Finally the repairs were made and everyone showered and we left for dinner. Upon returning home, we continued to endure the smell and left by 10am the next morning. After my flight home, I decided to call Paragon to get a nights credit. After spending over $2200, all paragon would do is reimburse us $450. They claimed we cannot reimburse taxes and fees. Needless to say I am not thrilled with the level of service nor refund from Paragon. I would not use them again they took no accountability and extremely dissatisfied with level of customer service. Paragon claims to rent high end properties how the service does not match.

My family stayed here in late March 2021, and it seemed like the entire resort was understaffed or staffed with people who have perfected the IDGAF attitude. Here's my personal assessment of The Cirque. Pros: + Proximity to the lifts in West Village, as long as you're an adult who can carry your own equipment + Kitchen stocked with basic cookware, allowing guests to make their own meals + Covered and secure parking + Lockers for storing skis/snowboards Cons: - It's actually quite a trek for young children to get to the Magic Carpet areas. Be prepared to carry your children, their ski equipment, and your own ski equipment to the base. - No on-site parking for babysitters if you're a young family and need childcare. The 72 y/o babysitter the nanny agency sent me bitched me out because I couldn't secure parking at The Cirque for her. Instead, she had to park at the Alpine lot at the entrance of the resort and take the bus. I desperately tried to speak with the front desk at check-in and then Guest Services over the phone to secure another alternative for her to no avail. It was a very stressful first evening. Getting yelled at by someone I was paying $35/hr for something out of my control on one side and getting shrugged at on the other side was NOT the reason I booked this vacation. - No on-site childcare, leading to the situation above. What kind of "family-friendly" resort doesn't offer on-site childcare AND doesn't allow for parking permits for babysitters? Our stay was a full year since the beginning of the pandemic. You'd think they figured out how to safely care for children by now. The preschool my son goes to figured it out a couple of months into the pandemic. - The pools and hot tub were closed, even though they were advertised as open when I booked the vacation. The official reason is the pandemic. However, given how empty the resort was, I would say it was due to lack of staffing and not wanting to deal with pool maintenance for a small number of guests. I have been to other ski resorts this season that did have their pool areas open. - No cleaning, even though it's a pandemic. Your trash will just pile up in the hallway. - Extremely dated appliances and furnishings. The appliances remind me of my childhood, and I'm now an adult with my own child. High end prices for low end effort. I did also relay my disappointment during my stay to Guest Services, the person at check-out, and a survey that I was invited to fill out after our stay. Needless to say, the people I actually spoke with just shrugged and I didn't hear anything after sending the survey with suggestions to improve. Since they aren't going to do anything, my only option is to share my personal experience to prevent others from making the same mistake. The lack of effort in maintenance of the grounds and customer service was painfully palpable in every aspect of our visit. Copper has great skiing, so we'll might be back for that. We've learned our lesson, though. Next time we'll be staying over in Dillon or Frisco, where there is on-site parking for nannies/babysitters, regular cleaning and amenities. Hopefully, there will also be less "dead eyes" and "yea, whatever" attitude. Alternatively, Colorado has many ski resorts to choose from. Don't settle.

The condo had just about every amenity you would need. Everything you need to cook a meal, all bedding, games, TV's, info in the room about the pool and hot tubs.
