Food has gone to dogs. Never ordered Sushi or dine in. Always pick up. Used to order until two years. Started well but then we found food quality downgrading. My biggest beef is with their hot & sour soup. That's the holy grail of any Chinese restaurant. Once pork was slimy in Fried Rice that we don't order it anymore. Today's order was placed with an expectation to redeem our interest in them. But none of the food was good. Soup was neither hot nor sour, Ma Po Tofu lame, Egg fried rice just okay, Lemon sauce had no sweetness. Only Orange Beef was marginally good. For our closest Chinese restaurant this is a No Go! I ate here only once before and it was pretty good. I didn't have a negative experience at all. The waitress was very pleasant. Tonight I did a togo order of sushi. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, 2 rainbow rolls and another spicy tuna roll with Tina on top. Although that was not a menu item they gladly did it and it tasted amazing. It's reasonably priced so you don't have to worry about going broke. The rolls didn't have layers of rice like other sushi bars which I really like. I would definitely go here again and I really want to try the all you can eat sushi! read more

The shrimp tempura roll is absolutely to die for!!!!! The only problem is it's so good that I can't get anything else! I went to order food tonight to go and ordered the same thing I do every time at any Chinese restaurant. The order came out wrong and you would have thought I told the guy the worst possible thing happened to him. He goes I know you ordered chicken with broccoli. I have never ordered that in my life only beef with broccoli. He just kept up the attitude so I said some words to him that weren't so kind took the order and left. Also as a side note only one person was dining in there tonight so they were not busy. All he had to do was switch out the main meal and I was fine win the rest of the food. I had heard their staff was terrible through other social media but up to this point only had delivery. Now I know why people don't want to go there anymore. If you love Chinese food, it's a great place, if you love Sushi, it's even better! I love this place. They have a great selection of sushi, and what's even better is that the all you can eat menu is made to order. Dang good deal there if you have a big appetite for sushi. The Dynamite rolls are simply amazing! I've not found a place that does them better. Same goes for their Eel rolls. The fish is about as fresh as fresh can get. read more

The staff was incredibly rude to us and did refused to correct my he order. We were cheated out of what we had paid and were never listened to. We wanted to order 2 dinner combos (come with a side of fried rice, an egg roll and cup of wonton/egg drop soup) as well as an extra side of white rice and large miso soup for my sick brother. We first asked if we could substitute our cups of soup for miso (listed as less expensive anyway). He said no we couldn't do that. We asked why , and he didn't answer. So we settled with cups of egg drop instead. He was very disengaged the entire time we ordered and kept picking up the phone. He did not try to even recap what we had ordered. We came back after 10-15 min. They said they still had to bring the large egg drop soup from the back. We said we ordered a large miso soup not egg drop. They challenged us in what we had "said" . How could they try to blame it on us when he didn't listen on the first place? So then they said ok we need to charge you for that, so we paid. As we were looking at the receipts further, we noticed that we were charged for both a large egg drop and miso. We said that the large egg drop needed to be removed. They challenged us again. Finally, he gave us a "refund" by handing us a few dollars (not even the full value of the soup) and handed it to us without a word. To make matters worse, when we got home, there was only one thing of fried rice (should have been 2) and no egg rolls. Even though we live very close, we will not be returning. Absolutely fantastic. Some of the best dumplings I have ever had. My room mate had the peking duck and was equally pleased! The Ma Po Tofu was too spicy for me - so they made me a new dish, to go, with less spice. Fantastic service, fantastic food. Will definitely return. read more

Totally confused by the low ratings. I used to live in Windermere and got hooked on this place. I now have lived downtown for the last 7 years. I will literally drive the 30 minutes for their ridiculously excellent General Tso. It's like crack. They have always been super nice every time I've stopped by for pick up. Love this place. Great food, but every time we order take out there seems to be some kind of problem with our order. The past 2 times we've ordered, there have been several items missing from our orders. My advice is to either eat in, or thoroughly check your take out order before walking out of the restaurant. I love their food, but the hassle is just not worth it. read more

I'd definitely come back here! Although this place seemed a little on the pricey side at first, I now see why. The portions we got for take out were pretty generous and the chicken entrees came in awesome, reusable containers, instead of typical take out boxes! Nice touch! Definitely plan on having some leftovers with the husband for lunch today! Aside from the fact that they are pretty pricey, the reality is that it's basically the only place for Chinese fast food for those who live in the area, unfortunately, but everything was really tasty and for me, this location is close to home, so I will be ordering from here in the future! All in all, we ordered the chicken teriyaki (served with lots of veggies!), sesame chicken, white rice, fried rice, and egg rolls, and nothing disappointed. We have been customers of Summer Palace for years. Until today. We went to the restaurant at 2:40 pm to catch the lunch menu. We ordered off the lunch menu, were served lunch portions and were given a bill charging us for dinner. The server was no help and would not acknowledge the error. When we asked for the manager, she said he wasn't in. As a "token" we received a $5 discount. We paid nearly double for lunch today. We have never felt disrespected in a restaurant before and are very surprised by this treatment. Summer Palace was our go to Chinese restaurant. We're taking our business somewhere else. Very small. Service was ridiculously slow. No one sat us.... We sat ourselves. No one brought menus....we grabbed our own... Patrons were clearing their own tables and getting their own food. There's what, a million chinese cuisine restaurants to order take out from? If so, I've had about 50-75 of them and this one has been the best. Lunch combos are $7.50 and dinner $14.50. The dinner prices are somewhat high compared to the other places, but Summer Palace takes the #1 spot for all around taste. read more

The thing that really makes Summer Palace stand out is their incredible $19.95 all you can eat Sushi!! Rather than being a cheap buffet with sushi options - you are given a menu with about 25 different choices. Each roll is made in front of you. The service is about the best I've seen in any restaurant here in Orlando. I'm kind of a camel and drink a lot when I go out, and my cup (which was small) never made it empty. Had 3 rolls and recommend the Dragon Roll.. Its some kind of deep friend sushi with a spicy mayonnaise, which can't be healthy, but anything tasting this good won't be healthy anyways! read more

We did not enjoy our meal here. The hot and sour soup was not traditional and the flavor was poor. The cashew chicken had pieces of chicken that were very poor quality and the sauce had a spiced tinge flavor. Even the white rice was squishy and cold. I think I've only been inside once, instead Summer Palace is my go-to for delivery! I almost always get the beef and broccoli because it's very beefy and veggies are crisp! Really all I can say about this was "meh". We ordered in, and I ordered the pepper steak dinner combination plate. It comes with the entree, fried rice, soup, and an entree for around $14. In total - the amount of food you get for that is insane. It's the quality I'm kinda iffy about. The pepper steak had hardly any steak in it. It was mostly undercooked onions and green pepper. The fried rice was okay... Not much flavor. The wonton soup had ZERO flavor. The broth tasted like hot water. The dumplings were just kinda there... My favorite thing was the egg roll. I thought it tasted pretty good. Overall, I probably would order again due to the sheer amount of food you get but will definitely be ordering something different from here. read more

Ok so we've lived in the area for a while and everyone who lives here knows that there aren't great Chinese food choices around and this place is probably by deduction the least likely to make you barf.. Omg after having this a couple of times ordering from chicken teriyaki to Mongolian beef with different failings I ordered the General Tso's tonight and I'm sitting here feeling like General Tso kicked me in the stomach OMG I feel so bad.. the oversoaked chicken meat looks like it came out of general tso's first batch he made back in 1602 - . Not only was the chicken incredibly overcooked just one bite almost took out one of my teeth it was cooked in the nastiest oil browned oil ever what was the taste browned oil !! . Since I paid $26 for the order I figured let me give the soup a shot and Yowza!! Just a bite of this made me feel like I had one of those alien things in my stomach - call Sigournet Weaver to help a brother out holy crap !! ' Noooooo 'noooo God please no' don't let it go down ( but alas) it did go down and the taste of this garbage actually makes me think it was cooked in the oil from my last order back in 2019 . To top it off I tried to at least have some of that Wonton soup but the soup and the wonton tasted like a mashed up pasta . Omg my belly is cussing me out and my tongue is paralyzed:; -who in the hell is cooking over there ? I felt like I was eating chicken shit-aki mushrooms ... DONT YOU BELIEVE IT ... This is by far the worst thing I've eaten .. ever .. ever ever ! I'm mad and out of $26 but I'd pay $26 not to be feeling like this ! .. if you love yourself and your family - do not do it. Many choices from Japanese to Chinese. The Sushi is a highlight and very good for what you would expect from a take out strip mall type of restaurant. When it comes down to it, prices here are too high. If I want to go, I think $15 for average take out Chinese dinner is too much. I do think their sushi is above average but again it is expensive. It's like if Chilis sold a $48 steak, it just doesn't make sense. This is a no-frills type of restaurant that charges you for the frills. read more

This is our standard, go-to Chinese. Consistently delicious. The fried rice is as traditional and yummy as it gets. We also love the orange chicken (extra spicy) and the pepper steak.
