All in all a good place to grab a quick bite if you enjoy Chinese food. With half stars I'd give No. 1 Wok a 3.5, but they didn't deserve any lower than that. We got beef with peppers and was pretty good and had a good flavor. Definitely a fair choice. We also had pork egg rolls, crab rangoons and dumplings. For the pork egg rolls (which is a big factor for me, as well as the other two below) were a success!! Honestly the perfect traditional egg roll that I'm used to. Good crunch and good flavors, good proportions of meat and veggies. Crab rangoons were SO. GOOD. I will be going back solely based on these. Easily the best I've ever had and I love my Chinese food! The fried dumplings were very disappointing. I wouldn't try these again. The flavor in the fillings was all so wrong and I couldn't eat more than one. Not good flavors and filling and didn't make sense to be in a dumpling. Pros and cons of the meal but will definitely be returning. No.1 Wok is a hole in the wall Chinese takeout spot with real potential. I ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young with pork fried rice, an egg roll, and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup delivered. It reminded me of the egg drop soup you get in NYC. Clean, comforting, done right. The egg foo young fell short. It needed more salt or seasoning. It bordered on bland. The brown sauce that came with it was too thick, closer to a paste than a sauce. The flavor was there, but the texture worked against it. The pork fried rice was bland too. It needs more seasoning to stand out. This place is close to becoming my go to Chinese food spot. It just needs to dial in the seasoning. I still recommend it. read more

We used door dash tonight to get Chinese food. My regular place was not on DoorDash so we were defaulted to this place. I spent over $100 (but should've been about $60) to have Chinese food delivered, and the egg rolls were exceptionally greasy with little flavor. All the rice was cold. And the quart size general Tso's chicken had some chicken and a couple of pieces of broccoli with it but nothing else and it was not spicy at all. It was the worst I've ever had from dozens of places.. Also, our DoorDash driver had to wait about a half hour for them to get the order ready which was above and beyond what they said it would be ready in . The DoorDash driver said this was very common for this restaurant. Steer clear. I want my hundred dollars back and will never use them again. Take the extra time and go to China taste in the public shopping center at Kings Ridge. They are far better than this place. read more

I was pleasantly surprised that the food was NOT super salty even the wonton soup. The small soup was less than $3 and had five wontons. The orange chicken was decent. I would recommend the steamed dumpling, shrimp & garlic sauce, and egg rolls for that New York-style Chinese dinner offering. I think perhaps my No 1 Wok expectations were raised slightly too high by the events leading up to it. We began our journey to No 1 Wok (pronounced, I assume, "Number One Wok") from my friend's apartment, and put the business into Maps to navigate us there. Well, Siri decided that the business was actually called "no one walk," an understandable mistake, so we giggled about that on our way to pick up our Chinese food, and I'm sure my friend group will refer to this place by that name from here forward. Anyway, we arrived at No 1 Wok to find exactly what we expected, a little Chinese place with a relatively big menu. This is definitely a take-out-centric place, with just two small tables inside (one with two chairs, one with three). So if you're thinking of eating at the place, I wouldn't plan on it--most of the seats were occupied anyway by take-outers such as ourselves waiting on our food. Pet Supermarket is just around the corner if you want to walk over and look at sad kitties that you know you shouldn't adopt while you wait, like we did. They made the food relatively quickly, faster than the estimate they gave. We brought it home and it was good stuff, your basic Chinese takeout, but nothing that really blew me away. The rice was good, and I really enjoyed the spring rolls. The veggie chow mein was somehow not really what I was expecting and I thought it was kind of bland. I'd be happy to give this place another go, maybe with the veggie fried rice or something else. After living here now going on 4 years, this take out restaurant is still very consistent with the quality of food, extremely large serving sizes almost busting out of the container and service. They know me as the house special soup guy. While I'm ordering & when I pick up, the owner always remembers me. The quality of food is always on mark. They always ask what sauces, special hot oil, or special hot mustard. (a must) This is a wonderful family owned small business & is a small gem in Clermont that needs to be supported. As I do when supporting all small businesses & use my CC, I always leave the 3% to cover the CC charge back. Remember, all small businesses are always running on smaller margins. read more

My go to Chinese place for over ten years. The sauce they use for the steamed dumplings is incredible and I would eat it on everything if I could. Huge portion when it comes to the combination platter, I always substitute plain lo mein instead of the fried rice and never regret it. This is our new favorite take out Chinese in Clermont. We have lived here 3 years and I can't believe we haven't tried them before. I found out about them through a local FB group. The place is very small and has maybe 4 chairs and 2 small tables, because it is mainly a takeout place. It was very clean in the kitchen from where I was standing at. I looked up their restaurant inspection reports and found out that they have one of the best records in restaurant inspections compared to all the others in our area. They are located in the Gold Gyms parking lot, next to Dunkin Donuts. Went for lunch today... $5.95 each, which includes the meat choice and fried or white rice. It also includes either an egg roll, soup or a can of soda. Huge servings which means plenty of leftovers for dinner... The sticky white rice was perfectly steamed. 2 of us had white rice and one of us tried the fried rice. The fried rice was very good as well. We tried the sesame chicken, General Tso and the bourbon chicken. Egg rolls were huge and crisp too. Everything was so tasty and good! The lady at the counter (I think she was the owner) was very friendly which was a nice change from others that I have been to. Everything was accurate and ready to go within 10 minutes of my order. We enjoyed our favorite choices this time around but also looking forward to trying out other dishes that they offer because I have heard so many good things about them. read more

This is my favorite place to pickup Chinese food in my area. I've been coming here since 2006,and I've never been disappointed. The food is always fresh,hot and the portions are huge! We moved to Clermont a year ago and with our old house the Chinese restaurant stayed behind. We ordered here and we continue to do so. You get quite a bit of food for what you pay for, which is always a good thing! My go to here would be the chicken broccoli always fresh and hot. I tried the beef and broccoli once and never again, soooo strange the meat was like mushy or something very unappetizing will never order that again. Fried rice is good although I've had better. I previously reviewed this business and I felt I had to update it to reflect the quality of the food now. The quality of the food in this business has gone down. I ordered pork fried rice and it smelled like it was rotten, we could not eat it. None of the other dishes that we ordered had any flavor either. The prices on the menu have also not been updated and you will be charged more. For example, the pork fried rice is listed as $8.35 on the menu and I was charged $9.95.
