One blemish was how they describe the different sized servings; a box, a bowl, and a plate. for both the main dish (meat) and the side dish (ex. noodles). Plus a premium for "special meat". For a first timer, I was confused as to the variations because there were no pictures of each of the containers for the main and side; I had to ask. Every once in awhile I crave Panda Express. My favorite item is the Honey Walnut Shrimp. The shrimp is served tempura style and wok tossed in a delicious honey sauce. They top it with glazed walnuts. I went for dinner yesterday, a very friendly person answered the intercom and helped guide me through my order (I haven't eaten here in awhile so I had some questions). I was told the beef broccoli would be about a 4 minute wait, I didn't have a problem with that and I appreciate I was told this when ordering. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and a good price. 4 meals and a side of vegetable spring rolls for $30. We ordered orange chicken, beef broccoli, teriyaki chicken and Beijing beef. I would give this place a 3 - 3.5 overall... about average. I'm happy we have them as a new food option in our community though. There was a line of cars wrapping around the drive thru so we ventured inside. I'm glad we did since it gave us an opportunity to take our time checking things out and sampling a couple of the meat options. The orange chicken was pretty good. It was crispy on the outside and had a nice orange flavor, with a little kick. The Beijing Beef was just a tad spicier and had a slightly crispy outside coating which was good. I had the end of a batch of beef so it didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked. Unfortunately, we weren't too fond of the chow mein. It was dry and a little bland to all 3 of us. We ordered online and got to the drive through about 3 minutes later. The team member on the speaker told us that we just put the order in, it wasn't ready and to just pull around to the front of the restaurant. We couldn't pull around as there was a car paying and then waiting for their food. As we waited about 3-4 more minutes behind the car, we stopped by the window to get an update. She told us the exact same thing. There wasn't even a car behind us at all, so we wouldn't even be holding the line. If we would've ordered on the spot would they have also made us go around and wait in front of the restaurant having no one behind us (and the car in front waited for their food at the window as normal). There were also no people in line inside and just a couple of tables already occupied eating. I ordered online for pick up. The food was ready when my husband arrived to pick it up. We began eating and all of a sudden my husband groaned. There was a long black hair wrapped around (cooked into) the rice. None of us have long or black hair. I immediately called the restaurant, and the woman who answered seemed to think it was no big deal and acted as if I were interrupting her nap. I had to ask her to put the manager on the phone, and I could literally hear her eyes rolling through the phone. The manager, Emanuel, also seemed to think it wasn't a big deal. He offered to replace the food--uh, no thank, did he really think I wanted more rice out of the same cooker that the gross hair rice came from? He said he'd "take care of us" if we wanted to come back in. Take care of us. Meaning what? That is such a subjective statement. I asked him what he meant, and he again said he'd replace the meals. I didn't want the meals replaced, I wanted my money back for gross, inedible food that violates health codes. I paid by credit card online, it should be too difficult to refund me that way. We've been going this Panda Express semi-regularly and haven't had any of the issues we had commonly at the one in Winter Garden on Daniels Road. The only reoccurring issue at this location is the soft drink machines often tastes a bit off, but otherwise has been by far the best Panda Express in the area. Update: This location got rid of our favorite item, Sweet Fire Chicken. Very disappointing. The last four visits, the chow mein was very bland and bit heavy on the cabbage. The meats were poorly chopped and over cooked, the breading on the Beijing Beef was hard and chewy. They forgot the teriyaki sauce on our teriyaki chicken *every one* of those four visits. That's just.. You know. Chicken. We also had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the teriyaki chicken on the last visit. How is that even possible?
