First night was a success with a limited menu. We got the big plate and split it between the two of us with an egg roll and order of veggie spring rolls. The side we split between fried rice and noodles. The special sesame chicken was good and steak was very tasty. The noodle were prepackaged cooked but not cooked all through which was the way they were served undone. The egg roll was not so good and tasted old in a newly open restaurant. The rice was good and saucy chicken was diced to order and sauced to order to my satisfaction. The service was fast for order and line went fast to checkout but the checkout was slow. The side shrimp was crunchie but did not makeup for no dumplings or Rangoon. The place is reasonably priced and portioned generous. Two cars in front of us going through the drive thru. Waited over 30 minutes (no exaggeration) to get to the window. We only waited because there were cars behind us so we were trapped. After 20 minutes the man in the car behind us got out of his car and walked in leaving his car in the drive thru. Came back to his car and we still had not moved. By the time we made it to the window they told us they only had enough orange chicken for a single plate. Really???? You knew for 30 minutes that you had an order for double orange chicken and didn't have enough cooked? After all of this, while still looking forward to the food, the taste of it was the worst panda I'd ever had. Far too many choices of restaurants in Clermont these days. The young lady who handled our order, Ashley, was excellent! From the incredibly friendly initial greeting, to the way she anticipated our needs, she was superb! However, two dings: 1) Green Garden on Citrus Tower tastes better; and 2) every local Chinese restaurant is cheaper than this chain. Which begs the question: Why would I go somewhere to spend more money and get satisfactory tasting food, when I can go somewhere else and pay less money to get exemplary food? The only reason I can fathom is the drive-thru. Otherwise, I wouldn't. So, will I return? Probably someday. Will I continue going to my local Chinese restaurant nearly every week? Great place,I eat here every other week with my parents, Panda Express is kinda of pricey, wish they would offer or have a program for regular customers , this way customers would have more of a reason to come back. We ordered some food for a Christmas party. On the date of delivery we got a text from EZ Caters that things we on schedule. At delivery time, ot was a no show, waited 45 minuets then made a call. There was a mix up. EZ catering stated they would work on it. Got a call back from EZ and they stated the Panda would have everything there in 45 min. Everything arrived as the crowed arrived, the food was delicious and even with the error i would and will use EZ catering and Panda express again. read more

The grill they use to cook the Teriyaki Chicken is often broke. I got tired of driving there only to be told they do not have TC. I have tried to call there multiple times to ask if their grill is fixed but apparently it is company policy to not answer the telephone. So, go somewhere else. This is regarding an online order I placed on April 1, 2016 with Panda Express in Clermont. I haven't eaten at a Panda Express since the one in the local Mall closed. First, let me say the food was really good and customer service like I haven't seen in a very long while. When I arrived to pick up my order, only 5 minutes past the pick up time, I was met by an apologetic manager with a large cup in hand for a complimentary drink while I waited. A few minutes later she returned asking if I preferred extra meat or vegetables. I told her neither was necessary. Yet, she gave me an extra order of meat with my food order. When the order was done she went over the entire order with me and when we discovered 1 small thing missing, she left and came back with a free bag of cream cheese rangoon wontons. All and all a good experience on the eating end of things, prompting a good review and compliment from me on their website. Where it went bad was on the online ordering process. Apparently, they run a funds' verification on your bank account and the amount they verify depends on the number of people ordering. In my case -- 3 people. They ran through a verification for $110.00. I had no idea that they actually debit the funds from your account and not just verify them to be available. My total order came to only $31.14, so a difference of nearly $80. When I finally discovered the $110.00 debit to my account, I emailed Panda to find out why this was still showing as $110 and not just the $31.14. However, I must say, it was no easy feat to find out any info on this whole verification process.Two days later they replied to me, explaining their process but not offering to fix anything, even though by their own explanation of how things worked, they by all rights should have already released my $80. It was now April 7, and my $80 in funds were still tied up. This time I contacted them and advised that if my money was not released today (the 7th), I would take legal action. Later that day I had a voice mail providing me with an ID number and telling ME to call my bank and provide the ID number to release the funds. I believe them asking me to take care of this myself to be very insulting given their actions. By the time I called the bank later that day, my funds had already been released. I will likely eat there again, but i will never again order online!! read more

This is the worst panda I've ever been to. I saw the reviews and thought hmmm I've eaten at places that people write bad about maybe it's not bad. But wow. Terrible food. Waited for almost 20 min food came out and the bag felt hot. It also took long so i figured it would be fresh. WRONG. The walnut shrimp was cold and rock solid. Even looked like it wasn't edible. The rice was cold. The orange chicken was hot and some pieces were good but most just like the shrimp looked bad and looked really old. Horrible food. Don't go there. Save your money. My sister and I stopped in here to grab a quick meal and were both pretty disappointed by the end of the experience. As we pulled up to the speaker, my sister started ordering our meals. The first order was orange chicken with chow mein and the worker repeated back "fried rice", my sister was trying to be polite and said "oh I'm sorry, we want it with chow mein" the worker stayed completely silent so my sister politely said it again and we were met with a very loud booming "WHAT ELSE!?" My sister kept ordering, she got the same meal as me (orange chicken with chow mein) but I was ready to leave without another word. When we got to the window, the cashier gave my sister a ton of attitude and was not polite at all. Our food came out a few moments later and in a very sarcastic tone the cashier said "have a great day." and slammed the window shut. We pulled off to eat our food and it looked as though they had scraped a bunch of extra sauce from the orange chicken pan and slothered it all over the chow mein. The food was so drowned in excess sauce, and the sauce is spicy, we could barely eat it. We won't be returning to this location again because we did not order an extra cup of spicy sauce all over our food nor do we want to receive a ton of bad attitude just for ordering. read more

Everyone's running around trying to get drive thru orders out(super slow drive thru too) I've even had times where they are in the middle of charging us for our food and they run away and start doing something else while we're waiting to just hand them our card. It was me and my husbands first time venturing into the new clermont panda, we drive to the winter garden village panda all the time so we know panda pretty well. We must say it was nicely clean, food was stocked, and had tons of employees on staff, yet there was a lot of loud chaos behind the counter too especially when we were eating our food ( & it was not panda-related ) We understand it's pretty new so it was slow, but standing at the counter for someone to acknowledge us to order our food was a little frustrating. My daughter and I decided to try out the new Panda Express here in Clermont. My daughter had the mushroom chicken and lo mein (which the server insisted was chow mein); I had the walnut shrimp (came without any walnuts), lo mein and two veggie rolls. The food was barely warm, the lo mein tasted as though it'd been around too long which is puzzling considering the number of people in the place - you'd think the serving bowl would be turned over rather quickly - perhaps it's because of the heating lamps? Anyway, the shrimp were pretty tasty although only lukewarm. The veggie rolls were greasy and barely lukewarm (probably kept warm with those heating lamps) - they actually made me queasy. Neither my daughter nor I liked our food, so we ended up dumping both platefuls in the trash and left. We won't be back. I guess I should have known better - the only really good Chinese food in the area is found at #1 Wok on Hwy 50 in the little shopping center with Gold's Gym and K-Mart. Now there's really good Chinese food! It's always made to order but is ready in 10-15 minutes. And they'll gladly change things for you (I don't care for the baby corn in Chinese veggie dishes, so they don't put them in. I appreciate that.) The only thing is that it's a take-out place, although they do have 1 small table which seats 2 people (really just a place to wait while your order is being prepared). Nothing is ever greasy. This place hasn't been here long & the food is decent for fast food. However, today I had fairly rude customer service from two employees prompting this review. It was about 01:00 PM on a Sunday & there were three cars ahead of me in line. There was some conflict with the car ahead of me which involved multiple conversations & included the manager sticking his head out. By the time I got to the window it had been 20 minutes. The girl told me that my order would take 15 minutes to make & would I mind waiting. I asked why it hadn't been started when I ordered at the machine 20 minutes prior. She told me that there was a problem with the guy ahead of me & that she was alone & had to deal with it. She asked me to pull around to the front & wait & I reminded her that I also needed chopsticks & plum sauce (which I also said at the speaker). Waited another 10 minutes when another girl came out, handed me the food, & started to wander away. I asked about the sauce & chopsticks & she told me the sauce was in the bag. She then rolled her eyes & went off to get the chopsticks. when she came back with the chopsticks she didn't walk around the railed seating area like before but just leaned over it requiring me to get out of my car to get the chopsticks from her. I mentioned that there was no plum sauce in the bag, only soy, & she rolled her eyes again, looked very annoyed & headed back inside to get it. Fortunately this time she came to the car but still. I understand everyone has bad days but there is no reason for surly behavior & rudeness when the error could have easily been fixed if people just listened a bit more. The service today from the associate today was unexceptionable! I believe her name was khalia. Location is hwy 27 in Clermont. Line was to the door, both trash cans overflowing, and only 4 workers. The drive thru girl was going to help us but I asked her if she needed to do to drive thru and she said yes( upset customer was waving her hands in frustration in her car). One of the cooks came over and assisted us with our orders (nice guy). Drive through girl came back to finish our order, then Khalia came over, didn't pay attention to what drive thru girl told her to do, so we had to tell her, twice. She then took our food to the register when we weren't thru with order, proceeds to ring us up, we pay. She goes back and gets our egg rolls and our side of chicken teriyaki (she forgot), and tossed in the plastic bag. To say I was not pleased with her attitude and behavior, the carton she tossed in the bag on its side was chicken teriyaki chicken with extra sauce ( common sense put upright so it doesn't leak) well she didn't want to hear it and rolled her eyes. For the now third time we reminded her about the 3 teriyaki sauces on the side, she gave us two and wanted nothing more to do with us. We had to leave without the rest of the items we needed due to her attitude. read more

There was another car in front of me waiting as well. We waited 20 minutes and finally someone came out. Nelly handed me the incorrect order and then I explained to her what I ordered. She looked quite confused and then said it would be a few minutes on the teriyaki. I told her we've already waited 20 minutes for the orange chicken and now you're telling me I have to wait longer for something else? I asked for a refund because I needed to get home to unload my groceries. She said that she would go get my food right away. I waited 10 more minutes and she never returned. At that point I was upset and went inside just wanting my refund. She said that the food was almost ready. I asked to speak to a manager several occasions and was either told no or my food was almost ready. My irritation was only met with Nelly's rude smirks as I wasn't getting any answers or a refund or even my food. After 40 minutes and no food, I just wanted my refund to get out of there. No apologies, no customer service. This place is a complete joke and I doubt the manager even knows because they won't let you speak to anyone. This is completely unacceptable and I'm surprised they are even still open based on similar comments I see below. This has to be the worst Panda Express that my wife and I have had occasion to visit. Went there on Mother's Day to get the dinner my wife was looking for on her special day and had to leave without purchasing anything. To begin with, there were only two employees (one male and one female) in the establishment. The lady was doing some sort of cleaning and the male was walking around seemingly in a daze. Unfortunately, we did not take the time to get their names but it was around 4:00 P.M. on May 12th. We had to ask the lady if someone was going to take our orders and she replied that someone would be with us shortly. While waiting to be served, we took a look at the food in the trays and noted that the chow mein noodles looked like they had been there for quite a while and some of the other bins had little or no food in them. especially the teryaki chicken which was completely empty with no sign that any more was being prepared. No food was either on the grill nor in the fry baskets being made. We did, however, have a "bigger plate" made up for my daughter. The male made the "bigger plate" and the extra side, left it open on the counter and began to take care of the lady in line behind us. We then waited a couple of minutes and asked both employees if some one was going to place a cover on our order so that we can pay and leave. The lady came over and began to put the order in a white styrofoam container. When asked what she was doing, she indicated they were out of covers for the normal containers that they use. At this point, my wife and I decided to end this foolishness and leave the establishment without buying anything, including the one order that was haphazardly handled. It should be noted that, as we were leaving, we overheard the lady behind us ask the male employee how long it would take to have the teryaki chicken ready. He replied that he could have some available in about ten minutes. We all know that it takes more than ten minutes to cook raw chicken, prepare the teryaki sauce and have the entree ready for serving. I might add that this type of service at this establishment has occured for us on at least two previous visits, causing us to change our meal plans. I've just recently gotten hooked to Panda Express. At first, never cared much for them. Always thought they were the McDonald's version of Chinese food with a much heftier price tag. With that being said, I never consider their food to be very authentic, in comparison to the local mom and pop Chinese establishments. It is good, but in my opinion it's not as good as some of the other local family owned restaurants. I am usually not someone who takes the time to write reviews (good or bad), but in my recent visit to Panda Express the experience was so upsetting, that I feel the need to let everyone know. I decided to go through the drive though. My order was for a bowl of honey walnut shrimp with a side order of lo mein. Looking forward to what I thought was going to be a real treat, quickly turned into disappointment. My entre should have been considered the lo mein, and the side should have been the honey walnut shrimp. I ended up with a huge mound of lo mein, and a small portion of shrimp. I would say that I could have easily had about 6 to 8 shrimps in my meal. To make things more interesting, they actually charge an extra $1.25 for the honey walnut shrimp entre. In other words, I paid extra to garnish my lo mein with a few shrimps. My lesson here is a simple one. Next time I go, I will go inside rather than drive through. I will clearly let the server know that I am paying for a real portion, not a garnishing of shrimp. Would I recommend eating there?.... Sure, the food is good. Unfortunately, you need to baby sit the kids that serve your food. If you do go through the drive through, make your portions clear when placing the order and physically check the order. read more
