The first thing you taste in a Chinese rest. is the soup. I've had better tasting dishwater. The egg rolls were outstanding, thus the two stars. The rest of the food was tasteless. When we opened the entires, the portions were nice but the food was Tasteless and needed help. Although is appears like a highly rated Chinese place, the food didn't match. Incredibly underwhelming! The fried rice was yellow. Are you kidding me? What happened to a light brown? In addition, I ordered shrimp fried rice and all the shrimp was at the bottom. I normally don't like to leave bad reviews however this just might be the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered sesame chicken with pork fried rice. The sesame chicken did not have sesame sauce on it, and the "fried rice" was yellow rice with pork in it. Sorry to say but yellow rice is not fried rice, it's a lazy substitute thinking your customers won't notice because it's a similar color. This is now the 4th time I have asked for EXTRA spicy Kung pow chicken and have specifically asked them to make them EXTRA spicy and tonight I talked with the lady that answered and told her this. The combos are a good value. I personally would not call their rice 'fried rice' as it is yellow with a few carrots, peas and maybe a bit of onion, but it tastes pretty good. The egg rolls are good, not great, but come with the combo. You must ask for duck sauce! Portions are very large. We usually get sesame chicken and chicken with mixed vegetables. Food is always hot and fresh. You don't get fortune cookies, I think maybe you have to ask and pay for them. Service is pretty quick. read more

This is our favorite Chinese spot in Clermont. Family owned and run by the kindest people. The food is excellent! My go to is the house special fried rice and the fried chicken wings and my wife enjoys the lemon chicken. They are currently only doing take out due to covid. To me, this is the best NY-style Chinese food place in Clermont. The portions are decently-sized and always delicious. There have been a couple of food mix ups, but their customer service is great, so I can't ding them for that. I think a lot of the negative reviewers are expecting a "sit down restaurant" taste and feel and this isn't that. Not my favorite Chinese place but was close to my home so I tried again This time a late lunch. The fried rice was yellow something white rice? The general Taos chicken was well.... I ate it ..... The soup was ( lots of salt) not much taste.... The condiments were empty so when I asked the guy pretty much threw them at me.... Waiting area had food on the floor and the tables..... I come here usually one day a week, sometimes biweekly. Other than Panda, this is the only Chinese in Clermont I eat. Friendly family owned business that has been here for years. I moved and regretfully only eat here when visiting my father. This place has a killer lunch special!!! The service is friendly for a takeout place. They have good selection and food is decent quality. My family orders takeout from here about once a month and the food is very consistent in quality and portion. They are very quick preparing orders as well. I always get General Tsos lunch special with Hot and Sour Soup... Which is a bit more towards sour and less towards hot than I like, but I attribute that to their proximity to the Kings Ridge retirement village. It has a good amount of mushrooms and bamboo shoots and roasted pork in the thick gel broth. My mom gets Kung Pao chicken and loves it, says the egg rolls are good too. Well, we just had a delightful dinner last night and leftovers for lunch. We moved here from out of state in 2015 and this may have been the most satisfying Chinese meal I've had since we moved here----and all we got was fried rice and soup! In our house, hot and sour soup fixes all colds and sicknesses. So we have some under the weather that needed mending. My daughter and I had a lovely time waiting with Jenny and made a new friend! The wonton soup is the best I've ever had and my family really loved the hot & sour soup and pork fried rice. We got two meals for 3 people out of it for less than $20! We will be back for sure!
