Beef rendeng and crispy pork! Always amazing
    Lynn C.

Wow I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place. If you're looking to have unique, delicious food that doesn't break the bank come here. There's a couple of tables to eat. We've had the crispy pork and rendeng and get it all the time. Crispy pork is soooo good. Crispy and tender. Also comes with delicious ginger scallion sauce. Rendeng is so flavorful and meat is tender. Very rich flavor. It's good to grab to go or eat in. Always love to come here when I'm in Orlando.

Chef is always so friendly and will answer your questions about Thai food.

Meng's is nestled away in I-Fresh Market in Orlando on Colonial Drive. They sell so many of the classic Thai dishes and some you may not be familiar with as well! Khao Man Gai is a dish that became a family favorite when I lived in Thailand. The words literally translate to Chicken Fat Rice. But don't be swayed by that translation! The chicken is poached in broth and cooked with garlic, ginger, fish sauce and then the broth is used to cook the rice. It results in the most flavorful rice. A delightful brown bean chili sauce with cilantro is paired with it. The broth brings it all together. If have had a rough day, stop by and get yourself some because it is the cure all for woes! Pork Basil stirfry is also one of my favorites and I order it with a fried egg. The slices of cucumbers will cool off your tongue if the spice gets to you. The last pictured item is red roast pork. I bought the combo with the crispy pork because of fomo. The halved eggs and the sauces are all part of what you truly would get in Thailand. They sell house made thai tea, cold sodas and do a busy take away service. I have often eaten there and ordered one to go for lunch the next day. This family owned business is amazing and so welcoming and also serve the community. The picture with myself and Chef was when they served at a local Thai Temple. They donated the food for the participants which supported the temple. Good food and good people, a winning combination!

We ordered Meng's Kitchen through UberEats after seeing all the amazing reviews and now we totally get the hype! The food was packed with care and arrived in perfect condition. We tried the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Chinese BBQ Pork Noodle Bowl, and both were absolutely incredible! The Chicken Katsu Curry had crispy chicken paired with a rich, flavorful curry sauce that was seriously amazing. The Chinese BBQ Pork Noodle Bowl reminded me of a cozy bowl of ramen, super savory, with tender, flavorful pork and delicious noodles. Both dishes had generous portions and beautiful presentation, even for delivery. You can tell they put effort into every detail. This spot just became a new favorite!

Dana with Offline - This was my first visit to Meng's and the ifresh grocery store. It was easy to find the restaurant as it was a hard left once you entered. The person at the register wasn't familiar with Offline but figured it out quickly. The service was helpful and friendly. I ordered the dark chicken combo platter to go. It was a very large portion! The fried chicken wasn't nearly as good as the baked option so I'd just do that in the future. It was very good and I'll definitely come again. Keep in mind that it is an Asian market so there is a distinct fishy smell in there but nothing over the top. While waiting for my order, I also grabbed some fun Asian snacks to take home. The Calbee shrimp snacks were my favorite! It only took about 12 or so minutes for my food to be ready.

Meng's Kitchen is a tucked-away gem with seriously good food. I went with two friends and we all left happy. I got the chicken katsu curry -- crispy, cozy, and full of flavor. Highly recommend. Definitely one of those spots you'll want to go back to. Limited seating and inside fresh market.

Char Siu Pork over rice with sauces. Great dish!

Excellent dishes prepared by the chef owner AJ!! Have known AJ and his cooking for fifteen years. All dishes are scratch made with his personal touches. Service was very good. Being a neighborhood restaurant, AJ greets his guests with a friendly smile. The restaurant is tiny with 10 seats. They do a heavy takeout lunch business. All computerized. We enjoy eating and visiting when we can. His catering is a must try. All of the great dishes served in the restaurant served in deep dish pans. Check out this small business and support great dishes served by the owner. Not a corporate backed business. Enjoy the photos below.

I love this place. Everything is super authentic, and it always makes me feel like I'm having street food in Thailand. My favorite is the crispy pork belly--so well done. Service is good and quick, and they make food to order. Ambiance is just a stall in a supermarket with limited seating, but it's all worth it.

    Hainanese Chicken and Rice
    Maria S.

Meng's Kitchen is such a hidden gem inside iFresh Market in Orlando. My husband and I came by to shop for Asian groceries and decided to grab lunch here, and we're so glad we did! We ordered the Hainanese chicken with rice, crispy pork belly, and char siu. Every dish hit the spot. The chicken was light but packed with flavor, and it felt like a guilt-free option that's even friendly for my high blood pressure. The pork belly was everything you'd want: crunchy skin with tender meat underneath. And the char siu? Sweet, smoky, and absolutely delicious. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality. This is exactly the kind of hole-in-the-wall spot you wish was closer to home, but it's worth making the trip when you're in the area. Meng's Kitchen definitely has my vote as a must-try in Orlando.

This small spot is inside of the iFresh supermarket and is tucked away in a corner, but don't let the location deter you. The service was excellent and she answered our questions with grace. I ended up getting the combo hainan chicken and the fried version was perfectly crispy without feeling greasy. Both were good, but I'm absolutely obsessed with the fried version. The 5 spice roasted chicken had great flavor. The rice and broth that come with the chicken entrees is so good. I could eat just that tbh. Definitely going to come again to try as much as I can.

    Lisa C.

Prices are average and the food was not bad. Restaurant is conveniently located inside ifresh Market. They have a lot of promising items on their menu that I would try when I come back to the market. Limited seatings because it's a small restaurant/stall inside supermarket. Free parking

    Khao Soi beef noodle soup
    Sunee W.

Small restaurant, inside Fresh Asian supermarket. They have a variety of delicious meals with reasonable price and large portions. I love coming here for Khao Soi beef (it so authentic northern Thailand Style - Chiang Mai). Huge portion. Crispy pork belly also very delicious (1/2 lbs for $8.50). If you're in town, give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I really didn't know what to expect walking in. But to my surprise, the food was very good. Chicken and rice broth had a nice taste, and the vegetable spring rolls were cooked perfectly and fresh. The sauce for the spring rolls were exceptionally tasty. There is not much seating available, but you can also shop while You wait for your order to be prepared with unique cultural grocery items, household items and a small bakery inside as well.

    Drunken Hainan Chicken & Rice
    Loon N.

Located in a iFresh supermarket, it's a small stand that has stool seating and a table to eat. Not many people eat there, most people grab it to go. But whilst I was there, I decided to dine there. Florida doesn't have much places to get hainan chicken but this spot is one of them and its a legit and very good place to get it. Cant complain. It was a good solid hainan chicken. Definetly would get it again if I was in the area or if I was shopping, Id grab an order to go.

My boyfriend and I visited mid afternoon and were seated right away. The interior is simple yet so pretty. I like the light moody feel the inside has with the rope decor. The chairs could have been a bit more comfortable at the tables in the middle of the restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the Beef Chow Fun. He really enjoyed it. I tried a few bites and thought the beef was nice and tender and the sauce flavoring was great. I ordered a few things - mamak fries, cream cheese rangoons, and Asian bao. The rangoons were fried to perfection and the plum sauce that pairs with it is fantastic. The Asian baos were filling, fresh, and saucy. Definitely don't get the hoisin sauce on your hands or they will be stained. But great taste. I believe my server might had forgot to ring in my mamak fries because those arrived to the table way later after asking about them. They did taste good and were hot and crispy. It was a solid lunch!

The atmosphere was welcoming and energetic, and despite it being a Saturday, we were able to get seated almost immediately. The hospitality really stood out. Our host, was friendly, and our server, Zion was awesome. He was knowledgeable, answered our questions, and gave us some great recommendations. We even had a manager stop by to greet us and make sure everything was going well. From beginning to end, we genuinely felt welcomed. Now the food... My wife had the Hibiscus Fizz, which absolutely blew her away. We also tried both the beef and crispy chicken bao buns. The beef was good, but that crispy chicken bao was phenomenal. The bao was warm, soft, and cooked perfectly, while the chicken had an amazing crisp and an explosion of flavor as soon as you bit into it. The chili cucumbers were cool, crisp, refreshing, and almost worked as a palate cleanser between dishes. We also had the steak and kimchi fried rice with a fried egg on top, which was rich, savory, and delicious. The Korean BBQ-style pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and another huge hit, especially with my wife. Even the soft, slightly sweet coconut rolls were delicious and paired really well with the rice. But the surprise star of the entire meal for me was the Roti Canai. I did NOT expect bread to be one of my favorite things we ordered, but wow. The roti was warm, flaky on the outside, soft inside, and already delicious by itself. But once you dip it into that rich curry sauce? Completely different level. The curry had so much flavor with a nice amount of spice, and I could not stop going back for another piece. That combination alone is something I'd come back for. Overall, Hawkers gave us an awesome experience. Great atmosphere, excellent hospitality, delicious food, and several dishes that we were still talking about afterward. If you enjoy Asian cuisine or just want somewhere fun to try in Orlando, I highly recommend Hawkers. We'll absolutely be back.

The drink was good with some spices, but instead of a craft ice, they just used regular crushed ice, making the drink a bit watered down. For my food, they sadly no longer had the duck noodles, so I tried the CKT noodles (15 dollars) instead. They mentioned it would have a smokey flavor from the wok preparation, which I enjoyed. However, the noodles were quite chewy. The meats included shrimp, pork sausage, and chicken. The chicken and shrimp were enjoyable, but the sausage could have used a bit of a punch. I was able to get some sambal for heat, but it lacked flavor and it was a bit gritty too. At least there was an ample amount such that I could take some home for the next day. My server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was the same. I did enjoy the audible music and crowd, making the vibe nice. I would definitely come back if the bring the duck noodles again, and maybe try another drink next time too. Overall: B-
