We ordered the Steamed Dumplings, and they were so freaking flavorful, and they were PACKED FULL of delicious meat. Some of the biggest, best dumplings I'VE EVER HAD. We also ordered the Chicken and Broccoli combo, which came with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg roll. The Fried Rice was perfect and the Chicken & Broccoli tasted amazing. My favorite dish that we ordered was the Steak w/ Garlic Sauce. They were not stingy with the Steak OR the veggies. And THE SAUCE was SCRUMDIDDILYUMPTIOUS!!!!!!!! Since I was so disappointed in a recent trip to another restaurant I have been craving chinese and decided to look at Doir Dash and see what I could find that might fill the void. Thats when China King caught my eye. They had my moms favorite, Chicken Chow Mein, and my new favorite Garlic Chicken and some wonton soup so after a few clicks we were anxiously awaiting our order. Within 40 minutes I was thanking the dasher and carrying our order in the house. Still pipping hot I handed over Moms dinner. They gave is plenty of extra crispy noodles and soy and duck sauce along with silverware and fortune cookies! After a few bites we both knew we found a new favorite. Alright, do you know how hard it is to find authentic decent Wonton Soup here? Being originally from NYC, I KNOW what Wonton Soup should be like; taste like. Aside from chicken soup, a nice quart of Wonton Soup seems to always help a cold when I get one,. It's also a great comfort food on a chilly evening. For those uninitiated, Wonton Soup should have nice sized Wontons in them. They should be about the size of a golf ball - forgive the imagery - or larger. With thick-ish noodly wrapper around it. Inside would be some ground meat. When you bite into them, they stream out broth in your mouth and the texture of the wonton wrapper and meat in the middle can be a joy. Having that said,so many places around here have horrible Wonton Soup. China King's is not bad at all. What would I consider 5 star Wonton Soup? When you bite into a Wonton it shouldn't crumble. You literally bite off a chunk and it stays its form. Lastly, they don't do Wonton Soup like NYC anywhere here. True Wonton soup has a little bit of greens it , whether it be scallions, a little bokchoy or sometimes spinach. Lastly,bona fide NYC Wonton Soup has little tiny slivers of Roast Pork in the soup. For those who have just read this, you will never see/taste Wonton Soup the same again! Here's to comfort food! Edit: Uh oh. Crowds often flow to the Jerimiahs, Publix, and sushi spot in this busy plaza. This little NY style Chinese takeout spot is easy to miss but hard to forgot. Their house fried rice is delicious and the boneless ribs always hit the spot. I've been there and seen several folks that are visiting from Europe and South America stop in and tell them it's their favorite to go spot while on vacation so that definitely helped raise my view of the place. Orlando seems to be lacking in good Chinese restaurants, especially on this side of town. My husband is Chinese and his family owns a well established Chinese restaurant in South Florida. This is about the best we've found here. The prices are good and it's always very quick. The food is always steaming hot and the ingredients are fresh. The eggrolls actually have BBQ pork and things other than just cabbage in them unlike most of the places here. Chicken and broccoli, chicken chow mein, and pork fried rice are favorites. I had the chicken low neon and it was delicious. My friend and I shared one and it was plenty for the both of us. The service was pretty fast. The restaurant has very limited seating. From New York, so eating Chinese in Florida was a shock to our system. But after trying a few Chinese take-outs that were absolutely terrible - someone we knew recommended China King. Our search was over. We are realistic we are not going to get NY-quality Chinese food in Florida but they are by far the closest we will get to it. The owner is sweet. Never had a problem with her or the gentlemen that now takes the orders. We are boring and stick to what we like lol - beef lo mein, chicken & broccoli in garlic sauce, pork fried rice, and fried pork dumplings. I would totally recommend you try it. read more
