She took out her curling iron and put three curls in. Would not recommend.

A friend who now lives near Grand Rapids spoke highly of her experience at The Parlour, so I knew I was in good hands. The Parlour is located at the City Flats Hotel. Service from the start was truly wonderful and I felt like a princess the entire time I was there! I wish I knew the name of my stylist because she deserves a raise. Getting my hair or makeup done always gives me anxiety, but I've never felt more comfortable or at home. The stylist (again, I wish I knew her name!) talked to me while she washed my hair and together we figured out what kind of style to do for the wedding. We decided to do a sleek blowout because I typically wore my hair straight as is. I really loved that she didn't try to pressure me into a different style as well. My makeup was AMAZING! She made sure to ask questions to make sure of what I wanted and that I was comfortable with everything. I mentioned that I prefer a more natural look and every step of the way I was asked if I wanted something darker or lighter. I felt like my time and opinions were, which isn't something about every salon I've been to. Overall I plan on driving to Grand Rapids just to get my hair done again. I know that sounds crazy since I live in Metro Detroit but that's how much I loved my experience! Well worth the drive!

I pointed out that I loved her curls and she gave me some similar ones to leave with. The pricing was great.. $110 for a partial highlight, cut, blow dry, and style. The salon was nice and expansive, and I love their long counter for color and processing. Highly recommend this salon and Faith based on my experience here!

We have two kids under 3 and I booked a couples massage for my husband and I weeks in advance. They called me back the same day after I scheduled an appointment to let me know they couldn't get us in at 1:45 and that it would have to be 2:00, which no worries at all. I told them that was fine. Come today, 3 hours before our couples massage they call and cancel. They informed me that the therapist got in car accident. that is horrible and I hope that she's okay! But we still had an appointment for weeks? There was another therapist available but I was informed they were already all booked....so instead of shifting people down on the schedule they decided to cancel our appointment. Getting out of the house as a stay at home Mom is huge, it's like a vacation and to have them call, cancel and not even apologize is disgusting. My hair stylists was very difficult to understand and she showed me color samples and asked what i thought matched best to the picture (which was very strange to me) and even when i pointed to the color, she went against what i said and it turned out horrible when she started to dry my hair. I ran to the bathroom really upset because i wanted to go darker for my wedding and my hair was destroyed. Her and another girl both said they had to put toner in my hair and i told them i wasn't comfortable with my hair getting even more messed up. Bianca told me that this was her work and she didn't want me to leave until it was fixed. I was guilted into staying. Her and another girl DIDNT put toner in, they put a really dark hair dye in and it turned out a really dark brown color (still had a red tint to it). Bianca and the other stylist assured me when i agreed to stay that I wouldn't be charged for the mistake. After Bianca blowed dry my hair i was still upset and we walked up to the front so i could pay for my hair cut that i was still willing to pay for. They tried to charge me after saying i wouldn't and when i said i refused to pay for her mistake and it not turning out to how i had asked, she accused me of this being my plan all along and called me cheap. I never posted this because this was right before salons shut down due to covid and i didn't want it to reflect on the salon, but they should be very particular of who they hire in a salon located in cascade that should be nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and apologetic. They ended up charging me $60 for the hair cut for just a trim because Bianca told them to. My hair was medium length and she didn't cut off very much, but i didn't argue it. I'm very disappointed in the service and definitely hope they replaced Bianca with a better qualified stylist.
