I used to be a very frequent customer and never really ran into a problem until a few weeks ago my family ordered in sushi from doordash and my father ordered the salmon sushi, there were a lot of lemon slices on the salmon sushi which we have never seen before and thought it was a little weird but decided maybe it's just a new thing they're trying out, took off the lemon slices and the salmon was completely rotten!!! Disgusting!! I'm really shocked that they would even still send this out let alone even ATTEMPT to let someone get sick and try to cover it up!!! The miso soup was really salty, the Udon soup was really salty as well. The inside atmosphere was nice people seamed nice. Except our waiter kept forgetting what there were going to bring us like wasabi or more water or more tea. My family enjoyed the sushi but my soup was not the best wish there were actual veggies in the udon soup as well. Egg rolls were good also. Nice place to look at while you eat. read more

I've eaten here I few times and every time I ask myself why I bothered but it's because it's the only sushi place in the area. The food is insanely overpriced and the portions are tiny. This is currently my favorite restaurant in the Beaumont area. Sugoi Sushi offers great sushi at great prices, I only wish they offered an all you can eat option; as it is they are still a fantastic restaurant. They have a new California roll, which is spicy and delicious. Right now my favorite roll is the jackpot roll, Which has got to be famous with other patrons as well because it is absolutely amazing! Also competing for the top spot in my book is the rock and roll roll. It is a mix of a California roll with cooked scallops on top, and it is both cold on the bottom and hot on top so it is quite a unique treat! The service here is excellent, we are often tended to, and I like that. I gave this restaurant four stars only because they don't have all-you-can-eat option, when they do add it to the menu I will change my rating to five stars. read more

We were seated immediately but I hadn't even sat down before our server came over and asked what she could get started for us. While I want to appreciate the attentiveness, I hadn't even looked at the menu to be able to tell her what I wanted. The price for the sushi rolls were absolutely ridiculous, especially considering the portions and quality. The Crazy Roll I ordered tonight tasted and looked like canned tuna. The Sakura Roll that was priced at $18 was 6 tiny pieces and tasted like one spicy mushy mess. Our server's shift ended and she just left without saying anything, which I find incredibly unprofessional. One of the sushi chefs were sick and had a terrible wet cough while making the sushi. The inside of the restaurant has a dirty look and feel to it. I had to brush off the bench of the table we were going to sit at and I could feel myself stepping on food underneath. Their white chairs were dinged with dirty hand prints and remnants of food on the floor. I've eaten here a few times to give it a good shot but it hasn't proved its worthiness. The only thing this place has going for itself is it's the only sushi spot in the area but I'd rather just drive to Yucaipa. read more

Ordered food, three rolls and a kids meal for my three-year-old.. we instantly got our drinks and food within 10 minutes, except for the kids meal. I figured okay they're going back to get it....no waitress came back for 20 minutes, never filled up our drinks again tried to wave down once, no response, table next to us couldn't get their drinks or order taken and funny enough they were empty it's Friday night at 8:00 p.m..... I explained to one of the girls that brought our bill that our food was great except our son is starving, but never mind because,you know, we're already done eating and he's not all that into sushi (only had a roll) going for the mac and cheese and we get home after this experience.. They said a quick sorry very who cares ish.... charged me full price, paid 64 bucks still with a hungry kid. Came here with a friend for dinner. The place is located inside of a small strip mall. The interior had a nice size to it and it appeared to be clean. This is not an all you can eat spot, but the quality of food is good. The service was good and staff was professional. I ordered my 20pc sashimi and got this. I usually had no problem with this place. And order pretty much the same thing when I go there but for 35.99. 40 after tax it was very disappointing. Due to my circumstances I had to use DoorDash to order my food. Don't know if it is because they thought they can fool a customer's order this way but I basically got short change for what I order. Sorry for the ugly pic but I was looking for the wasabi. It was missing. First my sashimi were all thin and small. Second it did not come with wasabi. Third there were way too many weird things to cover what I thought I ordered. Like too much lettuce salad, which made me believe this could be a sashimi salad. And there were lime instead of lemon. Looked like a Mexican food. Lastly there were fresh parsley which had no relations to Japanese cuisine. I got my refund but I don't think I can go back to this place. SHADY ASS business!!! If I could leave zero stars I would! Took 2 friends to sushi this past Saturday evening. We had the WORST service! Our bill came to $125.73. We did NOT leave a tip, which is the first time I have ever done this , that's how bad it was! Imagine my surprise when I checked my account and saw the amount debited was $144.59. I contacted the manager "Jasmine" who then sent me a screen shot of the receipt where the waiter clearly marked a line next to the tip amount. She told me "we do not make mistakes , here is a copy". If I had marked that I would have added my total to the bottom before signing, I am not an idiot. I am so glad I had a picture of my receipt. Do not give this place business!!! She is refunding me the amount of the tip , which I now have to drive 25 minutes to go pick up and waste gas, and that is only after I threatened to call the police! read more

This place is always busy! Still they are quick to seat you and they try to keep up with the busy pace. They expanded inside and are now using their full restaurant seating which is nice. Every roll I've tried is amazing and there isn't too much sauce on them like some other places. If you need don't use chopsticks and need a fork, maybe bring your own haha just kidding, but seriously they only had a few forks around the restaurant that evening so we had to wait for them to find one. I dont know if it's because of Covid but their portion sizes are so small! I ordered a dynamite and avocado rolls. The rolls came with 5 pieces, everywhere else I've gone is usually 8. And their dynamite was literally 3 spoonfuls and zero rice underneath. Usually dynamite is a nice circle of baked fish with eel sauce and spicy Mayo on top of rice. This was literally a small piece of backed fish with green onions on top nothing else. Maybe I got the wrong order and it wasn't dynamite?!? I dont know but wasn't worth the $25 I spent. So this place is brand spanking new. You get 10% off your bill through the end of August which is pretty cool. The ambiance is really nice. The sushi bar is spacious with some led lights around it and the rest of the place is avenged with cherry blossom lanterns. I honestly don't know what these other negative reviews were about because the fish is FRESH. I've eaten at other popular sushi joints in the surrounding area and this place is superior in quality with about the same prices. We didn't get teryaki chicken, which to me makes no sense at a sushi bar. We had fresh salmon topped with salmon eggs, DELICIOUS. The sweet shrimp is not only delicious but exquisitely presented, just check my pics. If you like white tina aka Escolar, this place has it fresh and creamy. other "popular" places in this area sear theirs which tells me their fish isn't that fresh. The snow white roll is exceptional. We also got the half eel and half escolar roll. Delicious. To finish off the meal we had a couple of oyster sake shooters which were served in a wine glass! amazing portion on the shooters. On top of all this we had 2 large bottles of sake and 2 large Kirins and our bill was still under $100. At the end of the meal they gave us personal sized tirimisu. The only reason i knocked a star off was that service was a bit slow and we had to remind our server a few times for things. This can be remedied and i will definitely give them 5 stars if the service improves. overall, try this place! it really is good if you actually want fish and not some fried chicken cutlet bento box. read more
