Everything is always perfect here but why shrink the quantity of entrees. Baked mussels use to come with 6 now it's 4 all for $12.95 edemas were less than usual as well. Yea looks like I'll just be coming for the rolls now!! I pay for quality and they did so good with that but if I'm paying more for less no thank you!!!

We came here with some family because it was recommended by friends. We got various appetizers, like gyoza, egg rolls, and the spicy garlic edamame. We got the bento combinations and rolls. Overall, everything was good. The team there was attentive and kind. We spilled a drink and they were gracious about it. We jokingly said someone in our party's birthday it was. They did a lovely birthday dessert for it. We were so appreciative of their kindness. We will be back!

Friend came down from out of town so we met up half way and was in the mood for sushi and chose this based on what time they close. Just like the rating shows this place is alright. Well at least for our experience. We were both very hungry so everything looked good but wanted to try things we would think were safe bets. Spicy edamame. Wouldn't get again. They put on this paste and the flavor is blah. Still finished it though but thought there would be more compared to other places. Jalapeño poppers, we're good. So really quick I don't know if we took too long to start eating or if it was the fact the restaurant is a cooler temperature and it was cold outside. But both the edamame and jalapeños got cold quick . There were only two servers and both were just quick to take your or just get whatever you need done and quickly. So not much guest service. I understand it's only you two and I use to work in the food industry as a a server so understand when you are short staffed. Either way red dragon roll was pretty good. I tore it up very quickly, granted all three dishes we got we shared . Oh yeah the hot tea we didn't care for, it tasted like it was burnt or had been sitting there. But it was still hot. So they have quite a menu with different options which is a good selection. So it might have been an off night but the experience and food was alright. The inside is nice and spacious. Place seems well kept but the bathroom smelled, when I just went in there to wash my hands. All in all it was alright. We both live in opposite directions, so can't imagine a reason to be in this area, and for whatever reason we happen to be. Probably just go somewhere else.

I highly recommend Sugoi one of my favorite spots for sushi if you happen to be in Beaumont, CA. I would also highly recommend number 19 I believe it's Popcorn shrimp on top of a Cali roll (to die for). The service is always amazing they get you sat right away, they get your order in and you can see the sushi chefs at the counter making your rolls. Inside of the restaurant is beautiful and reminds me of an old shop sushi shop in Japan.

To be honest it's in a part of town that I always forget about, so I'm glad it popped up first when I googled it! We got here for an early dinner around 545pm on a Saturday night. There was one other table occupied, and another came in as we were getting our food. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I expected it to be. It was very clean, and all of the booths, tables, and chairs looked like they were in fairly new condition. The owner greeted us as we walked in, waited a few minutes and took our drink order. Before bringing out our drinks she brought over complimentary miso soup and my little loved it! We ordered 2 rainbow rolls and a lobster roll. I always try my go to rolls when trying our a new place, and if I like it, I'll get more daring with the menu! We had enough time to enjoy our soup and talk a little before our rolls came out. It didn't seem rushed, and we were ready to eat! Everything was delicious! The fish on the rainbow roll was fresh and had great flavor and consistency. We loved them! The lobster roll was so good! The sauce drizzled over had a little kick to it, but it wasn't too much at all. The roll wasn't too big, and had a great amount of topping on it. Again, we loved it! The table next to us ordered the garlic edamame and it smelled absolutely divine! I really regret not ordering it as well! Definitely next time!! The prices were pretty consistent with other sushi restaurants, if not a little cheaper. I honestly couldn't believe at 6pm on a Saturday night that it wasn't more packed. I don't know if it's the area, or what because it certainly isn't the food or service. I really hope this spot does well and stays around for a long time. It is so nice to have a great sushi restaurant 8 minutes from home! I can't wait to come back!

We were in the mood for some Japanese food and this place popped up so we headed on over! The street looked completely abandoned so it was a little weird. We luckily found parking right up front and were greeted by the lady bartender. She was chatting with a few guys at the bar but otherwise the place was empty for a Saturday night, maybe because it was still during the holidays. The music was loud but played some great classic r&b and hip hop songs. We walked to sit at the high tables at the back and Leslie, the bartender, came over to bring us water and menus. We ordered some small stuff, house dumplings and their crunchy roll to share. I guess I didn't read it properly but didn't expect the roll to be soy paper which wasn't a big deal at all! The crunchy tempura bits on the top were yummy and overall a solid roll but could barely finish it. The gyoza were great though! They had some game shows playing on the tvs like ninja warrior and all that. Not a bad spot and probably better for drinks rather than food. But then my mom suddenly got really hungry, so we looked for a nearby place to have lunch. My brother found this restaurant and said it had high Yelp ratings, and since my mom likes sushi, he suggested this place and we tried it. We ordered the lunch specials: three sushi combos and one sushi & sashimi combo. All of the combos came with miso soup and california rolls. All of the sushi here was really delicious, and the California rolls that came with the sushi were also very tasty. The wasabi was shaped like a flower, which looked very pretty and was a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and kind. The cucumber pickles and ginger were extremely fresh and delicious as well. Everything we had was tasty, and the service was friendly, so I really liked this Japanese restaurant. If it were closer to home, this would definitely be a place I would come to often. FYI: My brother asked whether the owner of this restaurant was Korean, but we were told the owner is Chinese.

All the surrounding tables I guess is only for Ramen and non grilling food items as they dont have a grill in them. It was hectic and chaotic in here. Watching the 2 waitresses not only handling the food orders at the tables, but also making drinks, taking orders, bringing the food out, handling the front desk, to clearing the tables. Real props to them for still providing excellent customer service with each of their tables. Their food comes out fast, and they all tasted amazing. And their drinks too look visually stunning and tasted great. We ordered the following foods and drink: 1. Gyu set- comes with several meats that you cook on the fire. High quality. Great taste. Extremely tender and flavorful. 2. Short ribs- they were so good we had to get another order of them. 3. Sushi taco- 3 different types of seafood. Tasted really good, ended.up getting 2 orders of them. 4. Spicy tuna crispy wanton- lots of spicy tuna. Love the flavors. The crunch of the taco was really good. 5. Chicken karaage- crispy and tender. The sauce it came with was so good. 6. Tempura shrimp- 3 peices only. It was ok. A great appetizer to start with. 7. Spicy pork bao- bao bun was amazing. Pork was soft and tender. Good ratio of meat to bao. 8. Smoked brisket bao- not as good as the spicy pork. But was still really good. 9. Hand roll was also really good. Drinks: 1. White peach sake sangria- this drink was so light and refreshing. Definitely hit me by the time I finished it though. 2. Yuzu pineapple express- our favorite drink by far. Very pineapple forward. Sweet, tart and refreshing. 3. Tokyo tea- the midori made it look so pretty. The taste itself was very good as well. 4. Rising sun- Japanese whiskey. It was very whiskey forward, but it was also very smooth. I love how they had a little bit of everything here. Pork, chicken, raw fish, sushi, bbq, bao buns, Ramen, a whole bunch of different appetizers. Everything that we tried was really good, and put a smile of happiness on our face as we took a bite and tried them. There's a little bit of everything for everyone here. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. It was not cheap. Every little thing added up. But we did order a lot of food and drinks. But everything was really good. Would definitely come back again!!

On my most recent visit, the experience was incredibly disappointing. We were told there would be a 30-40 minute wait, which we understood. However, we ended up waiting over an hour just to be seated. If Yelp check-ins are being prioritized over walk-ins, that should be clearly communicated so customers can plan accordingly. What really made things worse was the service. Once we were finally seated, a blue-haired employee informed us--without any friendliness or professionalism--that someone else would be taking our order. Her attitude was rude, and there was a complete lack of basic customer service. It made us feel unwelcome and overlooked. At that point, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. We ended up at Finney's, where everyone is treated equally and the service is consistently great. It's disappointing to see how much this place has gone downhill. Sadly, I won't be returning.

We went all in and tried the omakase, and while it's definitely on the expensive side, it was worth every penny. You head down a spiral staircase into the restaurant, which sets the tone right away, and there's also an elevator for wheelchair accessibility which is great to see. Once you're inside, it has a thoughtful, intimate feel that fits perfectly with the style of dining. Service was excellent from start to finish, and the fish was incredibly fresh and high quality. The dishes were creative and unlike anything else I've had locally. This is easily a 5 star experience, and there's nothing else around here quite like their omakase. She was definitely in the wrong business! I asked if I order from her or the sushi bar, since we were seated at the bar. She said either but when I tried to order from the bar, he told me to order from one of the two girls. I ordered from the second one b/c she, at least, had some personality. She was more pleasant to deal with. However, neither should have been in a forward-facing customer service position. Strangely, hard to tell who oversees the servers but the only other staff present were the sushi chefs and they seemed oblivious to the lowsy service. IMO customer service is almost as important and the food quality, hence 3 stars. This was on a Thursday night and there was no seating, only sushi bar. They are obviously popular since the food is great, but you have to be willing to put up with the service. Will definitely be back, but maybe best to order for pickup and dine at home.
