This is my first time here. My impression was great. The ambience was excellent. It was spacious. Not crowded. Food was great too. The only thing missing was Ramen menu but they do have udon. Their menu has many options especially the sushi section. They also have happy hour. I believe from 9pm to 10pm or 11pm on some days. The service was terrific. No long waits. The food service was also fast. It only took maybe 10min. So if you are hungry, this is where i go for next time. This is close to a gas station. So you can go for gas then stop by here. Man, I feel like I just got slapped in the face by Will Smith. Let's start with the service. I witnessed three different servers go up to a table and ask them if they have ordered and what they ordered. Big red flag. Servers had no idea what was going on. Had to ask three times for a fork before receiving it. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come take my order. The service is terribly slow. It took 30 minutes for the sushi rolls to come out and 50 minutes for our entrees to come out. I will say, it was a busy night but not an excuse for the 50 minute wait time. Let's move to the food. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls and two dinner entrees and Jesus, my grandpa could make better food than that. He would also be able to do it much faster. First, why are the plates sticky? The portions are wimpy and the food mediocre for the price (this was before all the inflation). They removed the salad from the menu off the combo dinners. The waitress said no one was eating it... probably because the salad & dressing were wimpy and bad as well. Diamond in the rough! My dad and I were heading back from Morongo Casino on Labor Day (we live closer to L.A.) and wanted to stop somewhere off the freeway for a sushi lunch. I had found this place on Yelp and selected it upon seeing that it was highly rated. The place is spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated. We got there at a good time, as it wasn't busy, and we were seated immediately. Cody was our server, and he was very attentive, polite and seemed genuinely happy to be there. We both ordered sushi lunch specials (Tokyo Lunch Special and Chef's Lunch Special), which each included salad and miso soup. The food came out quickly. The fish was definitely fresh, and everything looked great and tasted delicious. Our meal was moderately priced and well worth it considering the food, service and atmosphere. This place is nowhere near where either of us live or work, but if we are ever in the area again we will return. Excellent customer service and the food was good. We love how attentive they were. We brought a cake our waiter brought us extra plates, a cutting knife, and a lighter for the candle. Definitely a place to visit while in Beaumont. I don't know why they got only 3 stars. At the least it should be 4.5 stars. It's busy with lots of take out orders from door dash. This place is really good, especially for being in Beaumont. It's no 21 sushi in calimesa but it's good. So we went for Father's Day with family so we had a lot of different things ordered and tried. Everything was actually amazing and unfortunately Yelp is only allowing 10 photo uploads now so I couldn't get a picture of a few things but all the food was good. My absolute favorite was the shrimp tempura burrito! It's amazing! The service was pretty good but the waitress didn't know a few things like what an Arnold Palmer was. But other than that she was okay. The ambiance wasn't bad either, they expanded into the next shop which is good because before they were really small so now it's more open and clean. The only thing I would say is that the music choice definitely shouldn't be on a station or whatever that can be offensive to others. The song Unholy was on and I find that song to be very gross and offensive as a christian woman. I live right around the block from this place and so in a pinch if I am craving sushi I have gone here. It's not the best but it's not the worst so if I'm not wanting to take a long drive anywhere it has worked. I am really big on Customer Service, and the friendliness from the staff has never been excellent, so more often than not, I have taken my order to go about 95% of the time. I am not a fan of imitation crab, so I always order a Philadelphia roll for myself without crab, and I am a sissy when it comes to spicy food so I always order the garlic edamame without any space. Twice in a row now they have definitely not kept the spice off of it. twice now they have staffed that crab meat into the rolls I have ordered. I called to voice my concerns, and the person I spoke to seemed frustrated about my call, and explained to me that she had customers waiting. Lol my expectation was obviously that they were going to just asked me to take it back, and they would replace it, for my actual order. after she reminded me again that she had to go and didn't understand what the point of my call was, I asked her what she was going to do about it, and she explained to me that she is only the one that takes the order- it's her boss that actually makes the food not her lol I told her that I certainly wasn't going to blame her for making it, I didn't assume that it was her running the orders and making the food, and I asked if there was anything that was to be done about it and she told me that I can go back over there and she can talk to her boss? My friend is in town today, and insisted on having sushi and it is almost 10 o'clock at night and normally I don't pay attention to the prices on the menu, because I know what I like to order, and normally I pay with my card. I am waiting for my bank card in the mail so I knew that I was going to be paying with cash, I walk in with about $80 after looking over what the menu said would be my total and enough for a $10 tip. To my surprise, I go inside and place my order to take home and the bill is about $105. Obviously, I thought that something must've been taken down incorrectly. She reads it back and everything is right and I told her that I didn't understand why it would end up being over $25 more than I predicted based on the menu. She explained to me that the menu they have is incorrect, and they are continuing to use the ones they have until they run out even though the prices are wrong on it. What??? Lol Like my previous experience wasn't bad enough - I was dumb enough to give them another chance and here I am. She was not the normal female that works there most of the time, she is a bit younger, I explain to her that what they are doing is completely inappropriate and dishonest. She said she completely agrees and understands, but there's nothing she can do about it. I told her to call her manager, and she explained to me that she was at their other restaurant in Yucaipa. She calls them and the person on the phone says that they are 100% going to charge me the new full price of the order, no exceptions. It does not matter to them that the pricing on their menus is off by quite a bit at this point. If I didn't have a guest at home waiting for their food I would have told them they could keep their mediocre food that is incredibly over priced at this point. I instead went and got the difference from inside of my vehicle and ended up paying the full price. Not only was it completely dishonest for them not to be transparent about the prices on the menu being incorrect, the very least they could have done was apologize and could do a lot better than continuing to use old menus just because they don't want to pay for new ones yet. For as overpriced as they are and as understaffed as they always are-they could afford to be more transparent and not continue to use old menus just to save some money on printing. I went yesterday right before closing to pick up a to go order for me and my boyfriend, we got 3 rolls the " spider, tiger, and shrimp tempura"This morning we woke up with crazy food poisoning, he has been vomiting multiple times an hour and is experiencing cold sweats and I myself have had an extreme headache and upset stomach. I called the restaurant today to let them know what I was experiencing and I was told that they don't know how I can get sick if none of the rolls had raw fish and that I had already eaten the food so there was nothing they could do. They clearly don't use high quality ingredients in their food and most definitely don't care if they make people sick. They didn't give us enough napkins, had to pull from another table - I think this place hoards napkins or maybe considers napkins a form of currency? Not sure. 4. One of the items in my order was Tempura Udon. The shrimp tempura was rotten. And then the potato tempura had something red and hard in it. I think it was a press on nail but my wife said no. However, she agreed it was gross. 5. The place is super dirty and sticky. Napkins on the floor. And I'm still waiting for my bill and glass of water. We will see. I tried to give this place another chance, but I will not be going back. 2 for 2 attempts have been less than desired. Called an order in- told it would be 45 min, ended up waiting an additional 25 min at the restaurant left without the correct order. This time called order in early to avoid dinner rush- told us 15 min for our order. Arrived 10 past estimated pick-up time to an empty restaurant and our order STILL was not ready. Been to many sushi restaurants but this has to be one of my top favorites. Sucks that it's so far from my hometown. This place is like sushi with a side of food art. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the employees and they immediately get you seated. They have a wide selection ranging from different sushi rolls to different, popular Japanese dishes. In the photo, I got the Crunch Roll, Spider Roll, Sarku Roll and the Soft Shell Crab Burrito (the outer layer is this soy wrapper with sesame seeds....10/10 would recommend). I would have to say that prices are a little bit higher because this place is in the desert so seafood isn't local.
