Take gummy candy, dress it up with clever marketing and this the result. The store is beautiful, clean looking. All gummy candy is package into fancy plastic cubes. Flavors are more upscale than your normal store bought gummy. Flavors we got include rose, champagne, peach Bellini and vanilla latte. Check the box and these say non-alcoholic. Even though some are alcohol flavored, the saleslady said the alcohol is cooked off in the cooking process. The gummy is harder than what I prefer and some of the flavors like the rose and champagne taste like regular gummy bears. The price is for the brand , not necessarily for what you get. The small cubes are ~$8 each. The larger cubes are around $25 each. However, they do have a great promos and a very good loyalty program. We were there the day after valentines and their valentine cubes were buy 3 get 2 free. In addition, they had a Presidents' Day promo - spend $30 and get a free cube which could be used in conjunction with the valentines offer (so we just had to buy 1 more cube to reach $30) In addition to that, we got a small welcome pack for joining the loyalty program and another free cube for birthday reward! read more

This place needs to get a new manager. The one currently there is insanely abrupt, rude, clearly hates people-- should work with inanimate objects instead. She seems unhinged, may need a day off. Her store mandates masks, but yet she has none on hand-- apparently she had them but "people like you (me) come in here without masks and I ran out". You mean people like me who follow the mandates and the science that say no masks needed for vaccinated people? Told me to go to customer service to get a mask-- how about no. If you want people to wear them then you have them on hand. Stop being lazy and get them for your customers. read more

Appreciated that they had a friendly clerk handing out gummy sugar hearts which successfully did their job to lure my friend and me into their store front. These make cute, luxurious gifts but at $10 are really too expensive to just satisfy a craving for sweets. With that said we opted for the green tea (matcha) caramels. Call me crazy for spending so much on gummies + candy but trust me, it feels incredible to walk out of there holding a tiffany blue colored bag filled with acrylic boxes full of pretty sweets. I'm a sucker for nice packaging and Sugarfina is no exception. Their aesthetic makes the whole experience of indulging in sweets that much sweeter. The staff here is has always been extremely helpful with giving me recommendations, suggestions and even free samples! I always come in looking for gifts for a friend or sometimes just a little something for myself and I've never left disappointed. My go to gummies would have to be the peach bellini and the royal roses. I always run in to grab these two boxes first before I pick a new flavor to try out. read more

Really cool niche candy shop. Very unique look to it, as all the candies are in small clear little plastic boxes. Expensive for sure (each small cube is $7 or $8 depending on the candy, big cubes cost more obviously) considering the amount you pay vs. the amount of candy you're getting. I got the Black Currant Berries (fruit gummies) and the Sugar Lips (sweet and sour gummies). The Black Currant Berries were just okay, however I loved the Sugar Lips. Even though the candies were not that unique in taste, they were unique in their physical presentation and packaging. I'm definitely going to come back, at least to taste the Champagne Bears. Definitely a welcome addition to the Prudential Center. Edit: Quick edit! Just tried the champagne bubbles, they're AWESOME. Get them. read more

Yes, the packaging makes you feel like a million bucks. The flavors to choose from are extensive. The wonderful woman working at the store this afternoon is the reason for which I am giving 5 stars. She didn't push any sales pitches on me. She simply told me information I needed or wanted. She described the candies I asked about, and she was just so nice. I don't usually give retail salespeople hugs, but I gave her a hug because she helped me and I was happy with my purchase. Not a huge fan of gummies in general- purchased some from here as gifts for two separate gummy enthusiasts. The packaging is immensely gorgeous. The person I gifted the pineapple gummies to was very pleased with them, but the cuba libre gummies did not go over as well. Not sure that I'll be back here any time soon. Staff are super unfriendly. I first asked one to recommend some products and she acted wired. Then she felt the need to rearrange everthing i touched even when i simply put one on the side so that i could pick more! it was quite impolite. Literally just ten seconds after checking out, i noticed a special package more suitable for my hubby so i asked whether or not i can exchange for it. i literally just checked out! The sales lady refused by citing the store policy. i understand once u open it the store may not take it back. My experience at Sugarfina really brightened up my day this past Tuesday. In Boston, you either get poor service or excellent service, and my experience was the latter. We connected with the cheerful woman working really well. As far as people complaining about pricing, it's not a bag of skittles.. every layer is curated. There are levels of luxury in everything material and if you are on the fence of whether you would appreciate an $8 tiny cube of candy, you can try out smaller bags like I did which are 4 for $10. Of course the tiny bags of candy weren't glamorous or insta worthy, but the candy itself was delicious. Sugarfina is great for gifts, because the packaging obviously has an appeal. What a surprise it was to come across this place while walking around the mall. After learning that Sugarfina existed during sometime in 2015, I put it on my bucket list, thinking that I'd have to go all the way to California to visit this gourmet candy store. But finding it in Boston was a dream come true! The bottom line is, Sugarfina does not sell cheap candy. This candy is not made for wolfing down as quickly as possible. It's made to enjoy at a leisurely pace, and it's priced that way. That being said, don't walk in there excepting to spend less than $10. But have no fear, the candy is delicious and stylishly packaged so you get your money's worth. You can even create your own candy bento box. Innovative, right? I bought the mint chocolate malt balls, the sugar cookie balls and the baby whales. Although I was by far the most impressed with the baby whales, the sugar cookies balls were a close second. Sugarfina is extremely expensive for mediocre candy. We tried the "Peach Bellini" from Germany and it had a regular peach ring taste with a core that was kind of like a gel. It was quite disappointing since we expected a gush of liquid. We also got the rainbow "Kyoto Blossoms" ($10 for small cube, $25 for large) and came with 6 flavors (purple only available in large). It was beautifully layered and has a delicate flavor. We also tried the champagne bubbles recently and figured out they were the exactly the same as the ones we got by the ounce somewhere else. Tastes great but the pricing for the cube, not so much. The store is beautiful, with the candies in clear boxes, ranging from $7-10 per small cube (depending on the candy). I really wanted to like this candy store, but after today I probably won't be going back anytime soon. This candy store is so beautiful. I absolutely love the decor and how clean and neat it looks, it definitely has the look of a luxury candy boutique. Some of the candies are so unique and different that you can't help but buy them. The candy may be pricey ($7-$8 for a 3 oz cube, more for a larger cube) but it's worth it if you're an avid candy lover like me. First time I visited, I was offered samples and had great conversation with the sales girl working there that day. Went in again today, and basically had the most awkward, uncomfortable experience. I don't understand why the girl had such an attitude when she works in such a great store, and being a retail worker myself, I know what it means to give good customer service and that customer service was so poor, if I didn't like the candy so much I wouldn't have bought anything. I wasn't greeted and was basically ignored until I was ready to be rung up, then walked out with no "have a nice day" or even a "bye". Get friendlier, more helpful associates and that store will have way more traffic than the one or two people I usually see in there.. Now I know why. read more

Sugarfina calls itself "a luxury candy boutique." I had heard about ordering from Sugarfina online so I was really excited to visit their storefront in the Prudential, especially after seeing people on the T with the Tiffany-esque turquoise bags! If you're not a candy fan, you probably won't see the point of this store. As for me, I'm more or less obsessed with trying different types of candy. Sugarfina doen't make candy; they "curate" it, and each variety is labelled with the name, description, and place of origin. The aesthetics of the store are really nice and pristine. The girl working here was friendly and kind enough to let my friend and I try the delicious Cuba Libre gummis after hearing us talk about them. Small boxes are ~$7, and larger boxes are ~$11. I purchased a sample bag of gummi ice cream cones for $2.50. This is quite pricey since it only contained about 8 pieces. Still, the sample bag was the perfect way to try something new, and less than I would otherwise spend for dessert. The gummis were so cool--somehow they really tasted like ice cream! You can purchase larger gift sets for $30-70. There are some themed boxes available, or you can mix and match. If anyone I know is reading this, you know what to get me at the next opportunity! On one hand, it kills me to spend this much for candy knowing that I would be able to get similar products at any grocery store in Germany for $2. So I like Sugarfina. Their candies are delicious, especially the sour lips, but when it comes to customer service, they are severely slacking. My friend and I arrived at the store, thrilled to see my favorite sour lips on sample.I wanted to buy some for my boyfriend for Valentines day. There were 5 ladies at the register, aimlessly doing nothing, but glaring at my friend and I. I was very thrilled to see sour lips, but I was not interested to look at their sour faces. My friend asked if they had the champagne peach gummies for sale and the lady curtly replied, "No, we have none here." The store felt so uninviting, not due to the decor, because Sugarfina really is lovely, but the negative energy the ladies were expressing. Made purchases here twice. First time a really friendly salesgirl gave free samples and was helpful with the different candies featured, purchased the champagne bears for gift. On second visit to make purchase for another gift this Sunday afternoon while cruising Black Friday/weekend sales...popped in for more champagne bears... a different sales girl rang up my order, took my card and said sign here... when I looked to see the total amount of purchase she rudely told me to just use my finger to sign... ummm I don't sign anything until I know the total amount and to see if correct... not to mention she neglected to quote the total amount before commanding me to just use my finger... and she walked away after the transaction to disappear into a back room... no thank you for shopping have a nice day nothing. I think someone dislikes working retail... so not only am I turned off to the overpriced shop but will not return thanks to rude girl.
