Great candy rude owners and staff. Isnt a candy store supposed to be a fun place? The quality of candy is terrific but like other reviewers Im amazed that the owner is ALWAYS rude. Never greeted with a hello or a smile. Its seems customers are bothersome to the owner and employees. They are happy to turn there back and not even recognize the customer, What a shame! I love visiting Concord and each visit find a new fun spot. Candy is definitely one of my and my kids faves. Priscilla's has a huge selection of chocolates. You can buy by the box or by the piece. They also have very fresh and yummy gummy candies. Stuffed animals, cards and gifts too. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I am a candy store lover ... anytime I travel, which is a lot, I stop in at a little candy shop when I see them. Sure, these places aren't cheap but homemade chocolates are worth the $20-$40/lb. because this is a lost art which has been around for centuries. I've been to Eidelweiss in Beverly Hills, Sees in L.A., Candy Man in Orient Point, etc. and Massachusetts has a few decent spots in areas like Gloucester and Concord. Priscillas was started in Gardner, MA of all places. Gardner used to be the furniture making capital of New England until Ikea, Walmart, Target, Homegoods, etc. flooded the market with inexpensive Chinese and Indian furniture. Garner since has lost much of its luster, which is surprising that it can sustain an upscale candy business. While browsing through Concord, I saw the Priscillas offshoot and the location made more sense. The store is small and sparsely decorated but from the minute you walk in, the unmistakable scent of chocolate is there. There is a case with rows of lovely dark and milk chocolate pieces which you can choose from. It costs around $20 per pound but is so worth it. My favorites are the sea salt carmels and the dark chocolate coated orange peels. A close second are the pecan clusters and the marzipan. They are very patient as you fill up the box and help you choose each piece. This is one of the fun parts of the chocolate buying experience ... the countdown to fill the box. (A half pound holds about 11-15 pieces, which is more than it seems.) The candy is unmistakably fresh. It is night and day between the boxed stuff you'd find in even upscale stores like Wholefoods. You really can't replicate the taste of handmade chocolates through mass production. The only one who has even come close is Sees Candy of LA which sells outside of the region during the holidays. (However the counter at its LA factory offers fresh pieces.) I'd stop back at Priscillas or give it out as a present without a doubt. Its so good and fresh, you will be very popular with whomever you choose it for. read more

While the candy is amazing and the selections abundant, the owner is very rude. I ordered a dozen truffles (very expensive) and she would only give me a bag instead of a box. She told me the box was too big and that I had to buy 18 if I wanted a box, but I expressed that I preferred that anyway. I did not want them to get crushed in a bag and presentation ruined. Such an amazing candy shop! Huge case of freshly made, delicious chocolates that probably had 50-100 different kinds! Also have packaged chocolate gift boxes and other dipped chocolate confections, like chocolate covered potato chips, nuts, etc. Have many other candies and paper goods, cards, etc. but we primarily went for the chocolates and didn't focus much on those other items. Highly recommend for delicious chocolates for any special occasion! read more

Chocolate here is excellent. Great variety of candy and chocolates. Only downside is the woman working the counter. You would think a store that sells quality chocolate would be a friendly, happy place, but you would be wrong after entering here. One would think they were selling caskets and granite headstones here by the demeanor of the proprietor. Smile one time please! ;-) read more

This is really a lovely place to stop in after lunch at one of the nearby restaurants (perhaps the Cheese Shop?) There is a nice selection of cards - particularly for birthdays - as well as homemade chocolates (truffles, filled candies, bark); a Jelly Belly machine (with about 20 types of jelly beans); and dozens of other candies. Many are pre-packaged for gifting, which makes this place a good place to stop by on the way to a graduation or to visit someone in the hospital. It was on the pricey side, but as I just wrote in another review, it is after all, Concord. I really liked the tiny cards available as well as the quirky toys and stuffed animals. read more

I was given dark chocolate medallions with white sprinkles from this shop and they were wonderful. The quality of the chocolates was excellent with just the right amount of bitterness, sweetness, and crumbly, yet smooth, mouth feel. Yum! read more

If i could I'd give Priscilla's zero starsI would. The help there is so RUDE. I went in today to buy some candy that was only sold in a 1 pound package. I asked if they had a smaller package and received a rude "no". Then I went back and asked if it could be repackaged and was told "no" again. Finally I had to ask if they sell packages which I could use to repackage the candy and was shown some bags I could purchase to repack the candy myself. I was really put off because 1) the woman behind the counter was so rude by the way in which she was speaking to me 2) she made me feel like I was annoying her by asking questions 3) she didn't offer any solutions to help me. After I was done paying for the candy I noticed the rude woman was working on repackaging candy from a large bulk package!!! I spoke with the casher about it and she said the CAN NOT through the box away for me and repackage the candy, it is sent in from another location and they just have too much to do and "can't do it all"! How difficult is it to either repackage candy OR politely inform a customer that they sell packaging for a nominal fee and the customer can repackage it themselves? They could also sell 1/2 boxes to customers. These people need to get some lessons in customer service. This was ridiculous . I'm a long time resident of Concord and I am tried of poor service every time in go in this store. The shops in Concord have been encouraging people to buy local. This is one store I will NOT be buying from locally. I think they just survive due to the ftourist trade and the fact that they are the only candy shop in town. read more

The selection of candy at Priscilla's is great. Coupled with the homemade truffles and chocolates, the store has something for everyone. The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of candy you're getting. I'll admit that the staff isn't always the most helpful, especially with special requests. I don't think this is too much of a problem, since they are still friendly, but some augmented customer service could turn Priscilla's into a perfect 5. read more
