The gentleman behind the counter patiently answered my questions and helped me decide between two cakes. And of course, I had to get some individual desserts too. The Day and Night cake was divine! Everyone enjoyed it! The piece of tiramisu was excellent, the base layer was heavily dosed with espresso and yet it still had a great texture. The fruit tart was perfection. The all chocolate cake with a mousse filling was delightful. I wish I could have tried everything in the display case! Beautiful desserts that taste as good as they look! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

It was at 7 pm so their selection was pretty slim. What they did have was delicious! I decided on a Pistachio Bar and a Mango treat. Both were filled with this light and flavorful mousse. The Pistachio Bar had chocolate, vanilla and Pistachio cream with a Pistachio flavored light chocolate shell. The Mango treat looked just like a Mango and tasted just like a mango except mousse/cream. They were ready to help you. They need signs on their desserts so you know what they are. Otherwise, it's an inviting location with small area if you want to eat there. Will definitely be back!

This time I brought several out of town friends and we bought a variety of things. The pastries were definitely stale but worse than that the cakes were moldy, again! We took them back and exchanged them for cheesecake which also had hints of mild flavor. We ended up throwing it away vowing to not return. I am the type of person who doesn't mind paying a high price for something special but this is sad and terrible that anyone would run a business this poorly and get a way with it for so long. I love shopping small businesses but this is not acceptable!

So far I've been here 3 times specifically for the creme brulee and if they don't have creme brulee (only one time that has happend to me) I get a creme brulee latte as far as pricing it's a bit on the expensive side. It was about $8 for a latte. The treats are like $14 and some are like 4-$8. The service was fast and efficient and I love the Togo packaging. They also have icecream but I didn't try any. As far as the vibe here it's definitely giving Hogwartz for girls just cause all the pink but it's definitely it limited to girls. It's very decorative and nostalgic! The founder is from Nablus, Palestine, where the original pastry shop opened in 1902. My dad knew the original owner. His son moved to Dearborn in the 80's and opened up Masri Sweets, bringing Nablus style Knafeh which is known the world over. It's my favorite thing to eat here. They still carry on in the Palestinian tradition. Samples are handed out generously. You want a piece of pastry which might be $2 or $3 somewhere else, no problem. Take 2. Palestinian culture has historically been very generous with food. Guests never leave without eating, and strangers are always welcomed. What cynical irony that food is currently being used as a weapon of war against these people. I sometimes wonder if their hospitality wasn't their Achilles heel. If you're in Dearborn, head over to Masri sweets to experience not only world class Knafeh, but maybe some of that famous Palestinian hospitality.
