But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. If your total comes out to $17.50 and you hand over a $20 bill, the register will only give you $2 as the change. Not sure if this is the same policy at their other location but that is plain weird. No sign up regarding that either. That doesn't stop us from throwing a few bucks into the tip jar though.
