Sugar, Butter, Chocolate made our wedding cake, and wedding night, one to remember! The cake that they created for us was delicious perfection and beautiful as well. They even referenced our flower theme in the design. In the years since our wedding we have continued to go back to them for baked goods, including purchasing a mini-recreation of our wedding cake for our anniversary. I could not have imagined a more full sense way to celebrate and remember our special day. Thank you to SBC for continuing to help us celebrate the occasions that matter in the most delicious ways! All the best, Daniel

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.

We came here on probably the hottest day in NYC, when it was 101 degrees out, and I'll be honest,…read morethe AC was on, but it was barely doing anything, so we were just sweating as much indoors as we were outdoors. The actual area itself is quite cute, and I like the way the interior was decorated. It has a very minimal vibe, but it really suits the place and the neighborhood. We got an Iced Americano, a Mortadella Scallion Pancake Sandwich, and a cocktail called Lovers Quarrel. The drinks were honestly pretty good and very much needed for the weather. The cocktail had this airy tart taste that perfectly matched the vibe of the drink. The sandwich itself was good, however it was extremely oily. The actual taste of the sandwich reminded me a lot more of Indian Omelets than Scallion Pancakes, but regardless, was still tasty, just wish it had less oil. They typically bring the drinks and food over to your table if you decide to sit at a table, which makes it a lot more convenient. The people working there were also doing an amazing job, so kudos to them. Overall not bad, maybe I might come back when it's cooler for the dessert items.

I've found myself stopping by a few times, most recently on a soft Monday evening, mid-run, just as the sun was beginning to set. It was one of those pauses you don't plan for, yet end up appreciating the most. Each visit has been defined by their pastries--thoughtfully made, deeply flavorful, and consistently comforting. While I've tried a number of items over time, what stands out most is how difficult it is to go wrong here. There's a quiet confidence in everything they serve. On my most recent visit, I settled on a flat white alongside a saffron-based pastry filled with cream. Both were exceptional. The coffee was rich and steady, grounding in its warmth, while the pastry carried a delicate balance of sweetness and depth--the saffron present but never overpowering, the cream adding just enough indulgence to make it feel complete. The space itself feels like a small retreat. The interior leans into a cozy, almost cabin-like warmth--wooden textures, soft lighting, and an intimacy that makes you feel instantly at ease. It's the kind of place that invites you in gently, encouraging you to slow down, even if just for a few moments. On my last visit, I was served by Forrest, who was welcoming and kind, adding to the ease of the experience without making it feel overly structured. Bakeri is not the kind of café that demands attention--it earns it quietly, through consistency, warmth, and the simple pleasure of well-made pastries. It's a place I find myself returning to without much thought, knowing that whatever I choose, it will be just right for the moment.

From the front, Bakeri looks small and cramped, and I think that visual alone probably talks a lot of people out of stopping in. What they're missing is the outdoor patio tucked behind the building, which opens the whole place up. Honestly, if it weren't for my friend, who lives nearby and comes here often, I probably would have skipped it myself based on that first impression. That's just how the cookie crumbles in NYC: plenty of great spots lose customers before they even walk in. The brunch, though, was genuinely good and healthy. I got the salmon and avocado on rye, which was pretty decent. Worth pushing past the storefront and finding your way to that back patio.

I'm upset it took me so many years of living in NYC to finally visit this iconic establishment…read more I've been to the pick up window in Manhattan but honestly, it's not the same. From how eclectically gorgeous the converted apartment to bakery vibe is to the delicious pastries, I'll definitely make a point to return here regularly. By far the flakiest and most buttery croissant I've ever had - easily one of the top 3 I've had in the city. We also got the ham sandwich which was also delicious - a perfectly crispy baguette paired with salty ham and butter. Highly recommend this spot and cannot wait to return for more!

Food: I have tried their croissant, pain au chocolat, and iced vanilla latte. I've been thoroughly impressed both times (more so when I visited earlier in the day) as both pastries reminded me of those in Paris. They have a nice flakiness without being excessive. They're soft inside, and the chocolate inside the pain au chocolat is light enough. I wouldn't sleep on their coffee either: their vanilla latte is probably ranked in my top 5. Service: The baristas here are friendly, and they play some good music on aux. Service is straightforward: you get your pastry immediately, and they'll call your name out when your drink is ready. Ambiance: There is plenty of seating upstairs. I have not had trouble getting a table even though there's usually a small line out the door (it moves fast). Additionally there is free WiFi and a nice restroom. Great location for this shop too: Brooklyn Heights is lively and has many other cute shops and restaurants next door.
