I like that you use a card to pay for laundry, and the staff are generally pretty nice. They also have drop-off laundry services and dry cleaning. I am disappointed that they increased their prices. Plus, I have been frustrated with the multiple occasions of dragging my three loads of laundry the 5 blocks to the laundromat to find they were closed during normal operating hours due to staffing issues and/or the machines were not operational and/or all the machines were being used by staff for their drop off services. I will continue to use this laundromat, but I wish they were open more hours and they could resolve their operational issues.

However, I would like to share my experience regarding other aspects of their service. I sent two suits, each with its own suit bag. When I scheduled the return delivery through Uber, I saw the pickup photo and noticed that one of my suit bags appeared to be missing. I called Star Laundry Club to ask about it, and my concern was initially somewhat dismissed, which was fair since I had not yet received the delivery yet (maybe the photo was wrong). However, when the Uber arrived, I confirmed that one of the bags was indeed missing. I called again, and they did find the missing bag. I was initially told that a staff member would deliver it on the same day as my call, but I did not receive it that day. When I followed up the next day, they apologized and was instead asked if I could pick it up myself. I politely explained that I did not think it was reasonable for me to make a separate trip to retrieve an item that should have been included in the original delivery, particularly when I had already tipped the driver. I believe the inconvenience of correcting this mistake should not fall on the customer. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for the suit bag to be returned. Called again for an update, but my call was not picked up. I appreciate the quality of the dry cleaning itself, but I hope the missing item issue can be resolved soon.

Actually, The Clothesline closes at 10pm as advertised according to the manager. He was sweeping and cleaning. He nicely let me know that the 23 quarter machine runs 10mins slower than the other triple wash machine, so I avoided using that. The 25 quarter machine shakes so badly for about 30 seconds at the beginning that you think it'll break the floor and other machines, but afterwards was fine. The laundrymat is immaculate, safe, and the machines are working well (change machine as well as wash machines). I'm currently sitting here because after 8:30pm you have to sit with your wash load and after 9ish? you have to sit with your dry load. There's about three other people waiting too and in general it's not so bad waiting. I needed fresh clean sheets because I was having last minute guests and I wasnt able to wash at another laundrymat, so The Clothesline fulfilled a desperate need. The free parking at the back was great too.

I'd definitely recommend this place, it's pretty clean, in a good area, and they have lots of washers and dryers so I've never have to worry about having to wait. Prices start at $5.00 a load for washers and $1 per 20 minutes for the dryers, not exactly the cheapest thing but compared to paying for a laundry service I think it's a great deal. Also rent isn't cheap in Boston so I think the prices are very fair when you take that into account. Quarters only, but there is an ATM and quarter machine inside. I've only seen the quarter machine run out once but someone came in to refill it ~10 minutes after it ran out so not a huge deal. I usually try to bring my own quarters though so that I can guarantee having change without having to wait.
