I have been going to Suds Em Yourself for a number of years now, and have brought about 4 different dogs over the years between my own and my two son's dogs. I have always had wonderful experiences. Some when they are busy and some when they are slow. I can tell you that I have "always" received wonderful greetings and help. The employees have always been attentive and willing to give me helpful friendly advice. They have wonderful shampoos and conditioners and offer nail trimmings for a small fee. Went here today after Duke got muddy head to toe from hiking. The front desk lady was very nice and got me all set up. When the normal dryer wasn't working they let me use a hand dryer. They have different shampoos and many brush options for after your dog has its bath. It's very helpful that the baths are up high so you aren't leaning over to wash your dog. Nice place! I have a 1-year-old Havanese (16 lbs, long-haired, & VERY fluffy). I took Cooper to see Liza for an introduction puppy-cut. She was GREAT. I am always nervous to leave him with a groomer, but Liza eased my anxiety with her attentiveness. If I had not moved from the area I would definitely take Cooper to her again. read more

This place was so lovely! I had just finished moving and realized the pup did not smell the best and I accidentally left her shampoo in a box. Not only that but trying to bathe a 60lb dog in a shower is quite a chore. When I adopted my dog I had a voucher for a free self service wash which I reluctantly remembered. She suffers from other dog aggression and when we got there the staff was very helpful and have plenty of treats. We washed her with shampoo made for dry skin and now my baby smells beautiful and feels soft all over again. Thank you! Will definitely be back in the future. read more

I have NO complaints about this place. I've visited 3 times and interacted with different staff members each time, every time just as good as the last! The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The facilities are clean and spacious. They have a good variety of self serve tub sizes, all sorts of cleaning solutions with some natural options, and various toys and goodies for rewards for the fur babies after bath time. They provide aprons to keep you from getting wet, and special face wash and ear cleanser as well. I love this place and it is very affordable with reasonable prices based on the size of your dog. I will never bathe my dog at home or any other place so long as I live in Eugene. read more

Do not recommend this groomer. Very unprofessional. This was our first trip here and our last. First issue we arrived at our scheduled appt time 9:30 and we were told they filled it because we were late and our appt time 9am. This was not true I positively made the appt for 9:30 the manager insisted she never messes up and i was in the wrong. They also said they tried calling but couldn't leave a message because my voicemail wasn't set up which was another lie. When i asked for what number they had they said they didn't have the number available, so how did they call? Moving on we made an appt for later that day. Really wish we wouldn't have because our dog ended up with a very uneven cut. Then when i picked up my dog the lady at the counter told us we were being charged a $20 late fee. Again we were not late...so after explaining the situation our late fee turned into a "your dog was more work fee". To me this seems really shady, and they are trying to find any way to add on fees. I told them i would have appreciated a call or for them to be more upfront with hidden fees because i did inquire about costs before i made the appt. When i explained this the manager said that they would charge me the price we discussed but we were not welcomed back. I agreed i didn't want to go back and was shocked to say the least of how they handled there situation. I should note as well there was no yelling or swearing. I had a toddler with me and had what i thought to be a calm conversation and the way they handled it was completely unprofessional. read more

Great place to wash the pooch. Incredibly friendly staff. Very clean facility. They have thought of everything you need: good nozzles, scrubbers, face wash, aprons...I was very impressed. All for $13. You can't beat it! read more

I would NOT recommend taking your dog to the Suds 'Em Yourself groomer. Our dog came back so itchy he's started tearing sores into his skin. They were totally unapologetic and made lame excuses - that it's an itchy time of year, or he might have picked up fleas. Even so, he's 7 years old and has NEVER acted anything like this before; he's miserable. I think it must be a reaction to a product they used, or they didn't rinse well. read more

If I could give no stRs I would! I've cane here twice, the first time wAs fine, this last time was AWFUL! I took my dog into get get his grooming, I asked them to trim up his private area better then they did last time. I received a phone call 3hrs and 45 mins later telling me he was reAdy, when I got there everything seemed fine, but as soon as we got in the car my playful loving outgoing dog was not so playful or outgoing. When we got home he Was continuously moving could not sit still was whining and not him self, I thought maybe it wAs just because we got rid of all of his hair and he was feeling "naked", he continued this on into the evening, I finally gave him a look over, his private area was bright red and when you touched it he would help and start growling, he also had a patch if hair on his arm that was not shaved off. The next morning he still was not improving we had put baby powder in his privates to try and help, nothing was working. I finally called we suds em and spoke to Alicia I told her what wS going on and she immediately stRted making up excuses of why my dog was acting weird, maybe I caused trauma to my dog, the fire works, the holiday, the other dogs..... My dog has NEVER hAd an issue with fireworks and plus he didn't even jump when the booming started, also I did nothing to cause any sort if trauma to my dog. She told me that I wanted my dogs private are short so if it got razor burn it was not their fault, we'll yes yes it is I asked for it to be trim kid better not have inch hair on them. After she say there and mad excuses, talked over me, blanked the whole situation on me, she hung up on me. I did call back the owner eventually called back and wasn't much help either just said he probably has little cuts and to out Neosporin on the area. He did apologize, but really meant nothing to me. I put all my trust into this place to not hurt my dog when they groom him, well I obviously put my trust in the wrong place. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK! read more

I have 2 dogs with different bathing needs, so I have used the self serve baths, nail trimmings and (most recently) the grooming. The people that run it are super nice and helpful. The grooming side does a good job and I felt comfortable leaving my dog with them. I will definitely be using them in the future. read more

My husband and I had taken the pooches to the beach, unfortunately they found a dead whale, ohhh what a stink. This place was great, we had to actually suds the doggies up twice to relive the nostrils, no problem, treats readily available to keep the doggies behaving, then on to the blow dryer. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I had been going here for a year to get my dog's nails trimmed. The LAST time I went in, a young man in a tank top was the one who was to do the trimming. As I held my dog on the table, the man turned & put his sweaty, hairy armpit right in my face. I turned around to the owner, who was right behind me. I asked him if that, in the future, he could have his employees wear shirts with sleeves, for obvious reasons. He balked at me and asked me to leave. Seriously??? WTF? The owner of this place thinks it's ok to shove nasty armpits in customer's faces. Methinks not. I've moved my business to Muddy Paws up River Road, and they are happy to wear at least a T-shirt, you know, to be PROFESSIONAL!!! read more

I've been coming to Suds 'em Yourself since both Trish and I were pregnant and our boys are now 18 years old. I had a Newfoundland then and I have a Newfoundland now and that's the best place to wash my big dogs. It's super easy, large tubs with a plethora of shampoos to choose from, conditioners and oils... Stuff to clean the ears with, teeth brushing, and they'll nail trim for you for $6. I also take my dog next-door where they trim him up quite well. This is a great place with excellent staff and I think an excellent price point. read more

I recently moved to the area with my long haired cat. I live in a place without central cooling and it gets very hot so I felt bad for my cat. She's never been shaved before and I was worried it might be too much, but the entire staff was welcoming and professional in dealing with my kitty. The shave itself was decent, but considering it was her first grooming, I was beyond pleased with the results. I plan on trying to warm her up to this being a normal thing. read more

Excellent customer service, all the staff were absolutely great! I have a Chorkie named Cesar who suffers from anxiety since a recent attack by another dog, because of this it has been hard finding anyone he can trust. Trish was absolutely wonderful with Cesar, handled him with care and compassion. It was reassuring knowing Cesar was in good hands, we will definitely be back! I've taken my dogs there several times now. Great service and prices. Everything included. They provide several different kinds of shampoos - even one called "Filthy Animal" which I needed after taking them to the dog park and beach and getting all muddy and sandy. They also have conditioner, a tear free shampoo to wash faces and they provide towels, blow dryer and treats. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended. read more

AWESOME PLACE! Visiting a friend in Eugene and my dog needed a bath. This place has everything you could need and they help you right away as soon as you walk in. They make very gentle shampoos and provided a separate one for the face extra gentle. They provided tear stain gel for free and encouraged me to use as much shampoo as we needed. I have been bringing my dog to be groomed here for 7 years and it has been awesome most of the time. My dog is definitely high maintenance, and there has always been someone there able to work with him until recently. The last time I was charged extra for him being difficult and both the lady and him seemed very unhappy. The other girl who is there now leaves the dogs unattended while on the grooming table with thing around their neck. I have witnessed this many times when picking up my dog. It's sad to say goodbye to a place I have trusted for so long, but I no longer trust them with my little man. I have given them 2 stars because I feel bad after all this time giving one star. read more

Professional staff. Very competitive pricing. Excellent facilities and equipment for DIY's. I have my extremely heavy coated Australian Shepherd bitch kennel clipped 2x a year. She's a country dog and she gets pretty stinky and gross! No matter. They do a wonderful job on her and are patient with her. She always looks great afterwards. I've had no negative things to say so far and don't expect to have any. I was using Petsmart and they do do a good job there but their pricing is just so high- last groom there was almost $90. OUCH. I figure, why pay more for the same or better quality service? I saved around $30. having her bathed and clipped at Suds'em Yourself and that is significant. Hope this helps anyone searching for a good groomer for your pet! read more
