I want to start this review by thanking the sole employee working at this Subway location. I think her name was Yolanda and she was a nice lady. I had placed a pickup order and it was ready when I got there. My sandwich was made perfectly to order just as I had requested. She was extremely busy at the time and made sure each customer request got fulfilled. She made sure to get orders done and thanked everyone for being patient. She definitely needs more help at this location but that is up to management. The subway location was also very clean she absolutely deserves a raise! read more

This is my second time coming here and I really like it here. The veggies look fresh, the meat doesn't look nasty. (I've been to some Subways where the meat looked like it should have been thrown out) The sandwiches are made with love (not in a hurry all thrown together) their chips were stocked, and the fountain drinks were actually working. I usually go to this particular Subway with my client, and today everything went just fine. The service was fine, the order was fine, the sandwiches were fine, until... while waiting for my client to finish eating I was watching the lady behind the counter and she was picking through the food bins like she cleaning up and organizing the food digging into like the lettuce and stuff WITHOUT GLOVES!!!!! She then wiped her face. I had just finished my sandwich. Yuk! I won't go back now due to their hygiene practices. I did call to get a manager to talk to but the guy that said he was the manager was the same guy that was there with her, so I didn't even say anything because he obviously doesn't enforce good hygiene rules and procedures either. Unfortunately, now, and unless Pablo is given better customer service training, is demoted, and has developed the ability to speak and listen actively to resolve issues, while maintaining a professional, positive, and empathetic attitude, I will not be coming here again. This location has gone done hill tremendously. Someday they do not open at 7 AM. It just seems so unprofessional. Some days their lights are barely turned on.. dimmed very low. Speaking of low, today was their all time low. The 1st lady said we only had a choice of 3 breads. White, wheat & Jalapeño. I said white. When she noticed my coupon, she said You cannot choose any of the sandwiches on these menus (with a green background). I chose the roast beef. She then said some cheese were out. I chose pepper jack cheese. The lettuce looked old, so I passed. Then what really ticked me off is that I said Light Mayo. She said No. This is the only Mayo I have. I said ok. The 2 lady's spoke. STALE BREAD EVERY TIME. (Main St. location near Vons) I spent almost $10 on a 6"sandwich made with old, stale bread AGAIN. This happens every time I come here. The employees lie and assure me the bread was baked that morning but they must think I'm stupid. The sandwich bread has broken or flaked off in chunks all over me, my clothes, car and everywhere nearby. I'm not stupid Subway. You are LYING to the customers you serve. How dare you. Last time I came here, I pleaded with the woman working there to PLEASE give me fresh bread, any kind. She turned and walked to the back without saying anything and brought back a fresh bun and made my sandwich with that. It was good for the first time. SO THAT PROVED IT. THE FRESH BREAD IS IN THE BACK. THEY ARE SELLING US THE STALE BREAD INSTEAD SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO THROW THE 3 DAY OLD BREAD IN THE GARBAGE where it belongs. The problem is Subway has gone way downhill and they don't have the customers they used to have, so they can't sell enough sandwiches in a day. Instead, they just serve the stale, days old bread so it doesn't go to waste. I hope the health department shows up to inspect this business as things are not right here. I'm done with Subway. I've never had a problem with this location. I LOVE the tuna foot long sub. I wish the subs weren't the price they are, but we always bring a couple and get one foot long for free. The staff nine out of ten times look lifeless, but I don't blame them. They're never rude or anything and do their job. Only once did I have a bad taste, but it was cause an olive somehow got mixed in to the onions I requested and I hate olives. My husband tends to get sick from the meats here. I'm not sure why, but I never get anything but the tuna, so nothing spicy or too heavy. read more

Like most other locations (especially in Ventura), the amount of meat is fixed and appears very skimpy. So you kind of get what you pay for. Next time I'll opt for the 6" and add meat. Customer Service was good. The sandwich "artist" was very nice and and accommodating to requests.
