Eddie's Grill Restaurant Review I recently stopped by Eddie's Grill and had a great breakfast. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which featured a perfectly crispy tortilla at the bottom. I also added a side of guacamole and paired the meal with a refreshing mango smoothie. The Highlights: * The Potatoes: These were easily the star of the plate--absolutely amazing and perfectly seasoned. * The Huevos Rancheros: Very delicious, though it is worth noting the sauce had a bit of a spicy kick! * Customization: The meal usually comes with beans, but I opted to skip those this time. * The Smoothie: The mango smoothie was a delicious and bright accompaniment to the savory eggs. One Small Note: The only downside was the condiment setup. While mustard, mayo, and ketchup are conveniently located on the table in a wooden caddy, you have to get up and grab salt and pepper packets from the station by the soda machine if you need them. My friend and I had lunch here today and I ordered a patty melt and the onions rings were crisp and delicious! I also had a pineapple/coconut shake which was also delicious. My sister stumbled in here a few weeks ago and suggested we go so that I could check it out. I was a little iffy, she usually doesn't pick the best places, so I had my reservations. We walked into a fairly empty restaurant. With cute little decor on the walls. There's bench type booth seating large enough to fit 3 people on each side. There are also some smaller tables. Now to the nitty gritty. The burgers were fresh, cooked well, and juicy. I myself ordered the Swiss and mushroom and it was jam packed with lettuce, mushroom Swiss and I added bacon. I always get their Pancake Combo with extra butter and their homemade salsa on the side it's so delicious! The girl that works at the register with glasses and curly hair always remembers what I get on the side and puts it in my to go bag or at the table when I dine in with my boyfriend. I absolutely love this place. They have the absolute best shakes. I get the Oreo. Their fries are sooo good. Especially their jalapeño cheese fries. I love spicy, so it's my go to. I usually order the Santa Barbara Burger. My boyfriend gets their chicken club sandwich. It's always on point. Their portions are very generous & I can usually make two meals of it. Their service is always spectacular. They're always so nice and welcoming. Their turn around time is pretty quick. It's never insanely busy but always a constant flow. I forget my lunch often and Eddie's come through. They're super close to my work. I will say sometimes I think it's a bit pricey but man the food is soooo good! I'm pretty disappointed with Eddie's Grill. I came in around 1 PM starving and ordered the Asian teriyaki chicken bowl with grilled vegetables and rice -- one of the specials listed on the board. What I received was confusing and unappetizing: a bed of lettuce, mushy rice with corn, overly salted sliced chicken, and a scoop of cold black bean relish on the side. It didn't match the description at all, and the chicken tasted off -- overly salty and slightly sour. My son tried a bite and immediately pushed it away. I brought it back to the counter and let them know something wasn't right. They offered to let me pick something else, so I went with the garden burger -- something I had liked when they first opened. Unfortunately, it was dry, flavorless, and came with nothing. No fries, no sides -- just a bare burger on a dry wheat bun with stringy onions and no pickles or condiments. Now here's where it really went downhill: I'm fully aware that at Eddie's Grill, burgers and fries are sold separately. But considering the Asian teriyaki bowl was $5 more than the garden burger, they easily could have offered a replacement meal of equivalent value -- like the burger with fries -- or something else to make up the difference. But they didn't. No side, no drink, no refund, not even an apology. For that reason alone? Just nope. That's not how you treat customers. We left still hungry and feeling ripped off. As we walked out, my son said, "I told you not to go to that place." He was right -- I had been bugging him to give it another try. Eddie's Grill has restaurant prices but delivers a half-hearted experience at best. We won't be back. read more

I've been going to Eddie's Grill since moving to the area and it was always a solid option. Today however was so incredibly disappointing! Bring back the sesame seed bun. This new bun is way too bready, gets so soggy, and just isn't good. My burger was super runny (the thousand island dressing I'm assuming) and was hard to eat. Just wasn't good overall. I got grossed out and gave the rest to my dog. Also, the fries have changed. Sadly, also not good. They serve them to you in a brown paper bag that was drenched in oil. The onion rings are still an okay option and have a nice crunch. Only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because I like their wraps and chili cheese fries. I'm scared to try them now with the new changes and be disappointed like I was with today's order. I won't be coming back anytime soon. The price is way too high for not good changes in their food. I've always thought it's a little pricey for a middle of the road place but now, not worth it. Go back to what you were doing before, please! Justice for the burger buns and fries! read more

Just happened to pick Eddie's out of the blue and it came out a winner. I had the double double, and it was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich and she was sold, and that is saying a lot coming from her. She especially loved the fries. Definitely coming back the next time we are in the area. We really like the fried zucchini w/ranch and the grilled teriyaki sandwich. They have beautiful solids, wonderful tasting hamburgers, and very good onion rings. The french fries were inedible. Undercooked and cold. 4. There was no notice that the GrubHub delivery dropped food at our door. No knock or doorbell ring. I can't say that Eddie's Grill is a great place to visit or that it has the most amazing food in town but, in the few times that I have visited I can say they have one thing that most restaurants (Spasso) lack, consistency. See, in my opinion a big part of making a restaurant a great restaurant next to flavor and service, is consistency. If you can deliver the same quality and taste every time I visit an establishment then you have already won me over. I'm not sure why a restaurant owner/manager (Spasso) would message me letting me know that our reviews don't help the business and maybe they are right, they are not to help the business, they are to help prospective customers. Reviews help customers choose your business over other restaurants. Customers heavily rely on reviews when deciding where to eat since they have so many options. Positive reviews let your customers know that your food is delicious, safely prepared and worth choosing over other restaurants. Ok, rant over back to Eddis's Grill, the various food items, burgers, Chili Cheese fries, onions rings have always been tasty and consistent. I don't really have a complaint about this place. Again, the food it not out of this world but it is tasty enough to keep bringing me back whenever I am in the area. This place reminds me of one of those places in the mall that used to sell great burgers and fries years and years ago. Just an overall good place to eat. read more

Our first time here, and it was pretty good! The big winner was the chili cheese fries. For $6.75, we were impressed. There was not a fry that didn't have chili and cheese on it - it was loaded with the toppings. The sandwiches were decent. I was craving a Cesar salad wrap and Eddies Grill came up as a recommendation. I ordered one and it was great ! I have no complaints other than I asked for jalapeños and wasn't told it would cost .95. Wasn't a big deal. The very next day, I still had a craving for a Cesar wrap, I looked up some other places, and deciding to go with what I knew. Unfortunately it wasn't the same. There was significantly less chicken and it wasn't properly wrapped. Everything was falling apart. A little disappointed, but all is good. I will be back to try other menu items. Please save your money. This is possibly the most bland, tasteless food I've ever had. Ordered huevos rancheros with beans for $20.00. Baby food from a jar has more taste and flavor. Alll they did was pile on some jarred hot sauce (Tapatio?). I asked for NOTHING WITH JALAPEÑO (not spicy) . Makes me break out in violent coughing attacks. I could've prepared and cooked better food using my feet and blindfolded. So I threw it away and went next door to Jersey Mikes- ordered the grilled mushroom dish for $12.00 WOW! What a difference. I love Eddie's grill but my one complaint is that their drinks are bottle water and sodas only. If you're getting to go your fine because you can have your own water, but if you go in person your only options are Dasani water bottles or soda. The staff is always helpful and serves you fast and the food always comes out great. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I was planning to pick up a sandwich from the spot next door, but I like to support local small businesses so I thought I'd give Eddie's Grill a chance. I ordered the California Chicken Club Sandwich combo with fries. The chicken was quite thin, I wish there was a bit more chicken in the sandwich, but the flavor was still very good. The fries were hot and fresh, and they gave ranch and ketchup on the side. The drinks are canned/bottled unless you order the tea, which I did. Unfortunately, my 1st and 2nd choice of teas (they offer 5 types) were both out. Ended up with a mixture of 2 flavors, but it was still ok. Service was great, cashier was friendly and kind in helping me decide between options. Restaurant was very clean, has nice decor, and a fun but unique vibe. read more
