Don't get me wrong, I love authentic Mexican food. I actively seek it out. But I also have a very real soft spot for Taco Bell. It's my favorite junk food and I'm not pretending otherwise. I'm honestly confused by some of the negative reviews. It's Taco Bell, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. If you're expecting fine dining, that's on you. I always opt out of online ordering because Taco Bell should be eaten hot. Obviously it's not "fresh" in that way, but there's nothing worse than cold Taco Bell. Eat it while it's hot and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I also appreciate a good drive-thru, and Taco Bell nails that convenience. Before you leave, always check your order. It's that simple. Employees are human and mistakes happen. It's really not that deep, and it's an easy fix if you catch it on the spot. My order is simple and consistent: a bean and cheese burrito, a crunchy beef taco, and a diet coke. I still miss the chili cheese burrito and the ranch taco, gone but not forgotten. Taco Bell is always my go to favorite fast food spot, especially when I'm on a road trip. Passing through Ventura, my friends and I came in here around 8pm for a quick bite. At this location, there's a good amount of seating and clean bathrooms. There are two kiosks here, making order super quick and easy. I got the value box with the chicken chalupa, doritos locos taco supreme, chicken nuggets, nacho fries, and a drink. It was about $10-15, but pretty good value for the amount of food you get. Yay!! You are back. I missed you Taco Bell. Hubby & I did a lot of yard work and we were hangry. I had a coupon for the Taco Party Pack - 12 tacos - crunchy or soft. It costs near $20. With our coupon, we paid $10.79 (out the door). You must EMPHASIZE that you want LOTS of sauce. Never leave the drive thru window until you check that you have all of the SAUCE that you need. FOOD POISONING ALERT! Both I and my boyfriend ordered the cheesy bean and rice burritos ,I ordered one ,he ordered three. I had diarrhea for a day and a half ,he had diarrhea for four days. In the years I've been going (always drive thru) I've never had my order messed up. It's almost hard to believe this place hasn't been closed down by the health department. When I first walked in it took 3 minutes for anyone to even come to the front to take my order. I used the restroom while waiting for my order. It was dirty, but not much worse than other fast food places until you look at the drain on the floor. It was clogged by what appeared to be a few different things that may or may not be growing. When I got my order 1 out of the 3 items were wrong. We were really hungry and needed a short stop after seeing the mission at Santa Buenaventura. It was 2 miles from the mission on business route 101 south and it was easy to find. We are a "dollar menu" type family so we got the 2.99 meal deals except for my son who got tacos without cheese because of allergies. It was fast and hit the spot. Came on a late night binge and was drunk hungry. Drive thru was not to busy and moved quickly. Ordered my standard taco and nachos with tons of sauce. Paid the cheap $3 and was on my way staff was courteous and efficient but didn't listen when I asked for tons of sauce. Oh well. Getting home the taco was its standard and it did comes as ordered with onions and red sauce. The taco shells never hold up to my added sauce and I end up eating them flat due to the bottom of the shell becoming slightly soggy and cracking. I wish they'd get a more sturdy shell but it's hard I'm sure. It was mediocre hot and had way to much lettuce vs other ingredients but in my drunken awareness it still tasted like good ol Taco Bell. Nachos were spread out in pan and then topped with a scoop of beans and my added onion and extra red sauce. But they just put it all in the center and those chips become quite soggy and gross. These chips were way over salted and I found them to inedible. Even drunk I noticed the salt level. That's ok, I grabbed a Few pretzels and found a new love!
