Stopped by during a lunch time rush on a Saturday. There were 3 people working behind the counter and 5-6 parties / customers in front of us, so pretty busy. Took us quite a while to get thru the line. (Side note- might have been quicker to do an online order while waiting in line). The staff was friendly and helpful, just overwhelmed and a little slow. This place was very clean. Large facility. Two bathrooms were accessible before ordering, which being traveling made for a nice stop. EV chargers very close. The server took a few minutes to serve us was very busy with phone orders. Once he was completed with what he was doing, our order was handled quickly and he was friendly. Just watched the red headed lady with 2 braids verbally assault a sweet old women because she was asking about the daily specials. This worker made me feel so uncomfortable she needs an attitude check. Image going to get lunch and the worker verbally assults you loud enough for everyone to hear cause you had a couple questions. There was a long rush with about 12 people in line with 1 worker. I felt really bad because she was working hard. I assume the manager (Tyler) came in because there was an important meeting going on... It was pretty poor customer service to hold the meeting while there was such a long line and pull the other 2 staff from the line. When a customer asked about it the guy was super rude and arrogant when a lady asked politely. He was talking to the staff sideways. The tables were dirty and had not been wiped off at all. Trash was all around. Who holds a meeting during lunch rush? The food was okay, the girl that completed my order was amazingly professional and did a great job. I also would like to add the GM called the police after myself and another customer asked questions stating we were trespassing and cussing him out. Went to Subway, and we were warmly greeted by Ray. We had asked for a cup of water. Ray saw that we had gotten the water for my granddaughter's bottle. He brought us a warm cup of filtered water for her formula. I was very impressed! Then, to my surprise, our sandwiches were adorably labeled. If I could do negative stars I'd do it. Firstly, we ordered our subs online for pick up. Showed up a little early and waited patiently. Tyler, the peach he is. Said our order was next and I said no worries take your time . Not in a rush which was a lie because we actually were. But I'm nice. When they started making our subs we walked over and grabbed our chips and waited for our cups for drinks. (I had ordered extra lettuce) I walked up and politely asked if she would add more lettuce to my sandwich. She didn't say anything but added more. She was told to move away and tyler to the rescue. He said loud enough for me to hear " I'll make the sandwiches because everyone is being assholes today with their orders... " like what?! All I had on my sub was lettuce and pickles. How is my order hard to mess up? I had been super nice and understanding from the get go and I get called an asshole" My mom had asked me "what did he just say?" He then very rudely told us to go stand by the pick up area because he can't train his new person when we are telling her what to do. Service is terrible, waited 20 minutes just to get a footlong cookie. Bought the cookie and then I was told I couldn't bring other food in while eating my cookie. For years Boy Scouts heading to Camp Geronimo have stopped for lunch in Payson before getting to Camp Geronimo so you'd think this Subway would be aware since we've been to this specific location in years past. Yesterday, as I was walking in with my scout in uniform, I was told by another customer that they are refusing service to scouts in uniform, and their families so if I wanted lunch, my son should stay outside. I was sure they were mistaken but sent my son outside. I ordered and upon paying, said to the man behind the counter that I'd heard they are refusing to serve boy scouts in uniform and is that so. The man behind the counter (no name tag) said yes, that's true. I asked why, he said that they only have so many supplies and if they serve scouts, they may run out. I asked how they are any different than other customer since they pay the same and he said that's just what his manager told him to say. This is disgraceful. It's blatant discrimination and against youth serving the community. Who's next? Soldiers? Cops? If they arbitrarily refused service to ANY other group of people, it would never be tolerated yet BOY SCOUTS IN UNIFORM is acceptable? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. read more

We had a great experience at this subway today. Both of the young women at the counter were extremely friendly. We asked for extra olives and boy did we get extra olives. Every sandwich was completely filled up and delicious. Our grandkids loved it also! Thank you subway in Payson! We will be back! read more
