Arrived at 1:45pm and they had just pulled the bread from the oven so couldn't serve it. Said they had to wait an hour for some reason. They did have one 6" piece left and so my husband and I split that. We are plant based so I asked for avocado and all the veggies. They told me they didn't have avocado and they did y have tomatoes. The tea and drink dispensers were empty! The guy helping me said they were supposed to open at 7 but the manager didn't show up until 10!! I recently visited the Subway in Ozana, TX, and had an extremely disappointing experience. The service was horrible. The staff acted as if they didn't want to serve us and seemed uncomfortable seeing people of color in this small town. They served us really old and dry tuna and kept asking "what else" in an impatient manner. The customer service is trash, and to top it off, the bathroom was dirty. Stopped in Ozona to fuel up on our way back to Austin and decided to grab some food here. Well, sat in the drive-thru for a while. Saw the two female workers glance at our car a few times and still no order taken. Finally went to the door and asked if we needed to come in. Younger thinner girl said they decided to close early. First, they had no wheat/grain bread. Ok, so white it is for 3 sandwiches. Then no lettuce. Ok, I can add lettuce at home. Then no salami!? Too late to turn back. After reading some pretty scary reviews of feasible food options in Fort Stockton and in Ozona we hesitantly stopped here just because 1 reviewer said this was the only clean n fresh place for 500 miles haha So glad we listened to that yelp reviewer bc this Subway wasn't bad at all. No flies, clean restrooms, very friendly staff all worked on our 5 footlongs n even the water tasted fine, no funky after taste. All that matters if you are roadtripping and don't want food poison to ruin your vacation with little ones. Yes there's a drive thru here too. But staff was so courteous and prompt. There was a line but they made our sandwiches quickly albeit some lettuce and stuff wasn't the freshest but hey no flies and no stomach problems after. And they did cover their veggies which was a good sign :) Great option vs other fast food stops after this that reviewers have commented about flies, dirty poopy restrooms and incompetent workers. Driving through on Thanksgiving Day- not a whole lot of places open on I 10. They were the only place open so I didn't even bother looking at Yelp first. I know we make all these customizations to our sandwiches so I always do mobile orders plus there was a long line. We placed the mobile order it said 20 minutes so we went next door to grab some waters at the gas station. I came inside 10 minutes before my order was supposed to be ready- and it was already ready to go! The workers were super friendly and it was clean. The restrooms were also very clean- a little old but not dirty. I took away one star because we were missing the cheese pizza- but they quickly made it and we were out the door in no time The food was all fresh and tasted great so I'm not sure why the bad reviews. On Yelp, "fast food" we know generally has low ratings- which I take that with a grain of salt anyway. read more

Starrveeeeed we walked up to the door and it was closed, at least 40mins before their posted closing time was. And again, there is nothing else open in this town so we were banking on this. Heyyy pro-tip: if you don't want anyone to come in and order food at the restaurant where you work, just close for the day! So by the time you get to Ozona on your roadtrip, you'll need something to eat. Since there are not many choices in Ozona, you may end up eating here anyway. Eating here won't be the end of the world - but just be prepared for the BS. Our experience began with the Fucking Bitch behind the counter - who liked to roll her eyes at how long it took the four of us to order. I am not sure why it mattered since there was NO ONE ELSE in line behind us. FB was not helpful in any way shape or form, and when they did not have the bread I ordered, I said "Maybe you can just tell me which bread you DO have?!" It seems that rolling her eyes was her core competency. It got worse when the sandwiches were finished, and they got pushed to the cashier. I was befuddled when she asked me "What kind of sandwiches did you have??" When the following order got pushed into (i.e. mixed up with) mine, I paid and grabbed the four sandwiches I thought were mine. As it turned out, I got another lady's sandwich - but did not realize it until I was about done with it. This did not impact us, but when she went back to get in what had become a long line, FB was not helpful to her either. The restaurant was heading towards a meltdown when I said "Let's get outta here!!" - and we did. All that said, you may eat here and it may be OK. But if it sucks - don't take it personal - they are probably pissing other people off daily - so you are not alone. read more

If you opt to go through the drive thru, they make you wait, I waited 10 min behind someone then was told it would be another 15 min wait and then they hadn't been taken my order yet. FOOD POISONING!!!! Ate there 1/4/12 This place sucks, un-clean facility and un friendly staff. Heading back from our California road trip we stopped here to eat, a decision I greatly regret. We camped in Seally TX and had to rush to the emergency 3:30am room because my brother got food poisoning from the cold cut sub. It was pretty serious and took three IVs to get my bro re-hydrated. It I also had symptoms of stomach pains from the spicy Italian sub. We have gotten these same combos throughout our trip numerous times at locations across the country no problems.
