You get what you get and you don't throw a fit at this gas station. If your like me and you work night shift and left Houston late instead of on time, your going to come across this gas station at midnight and its going to be the only thing in the area that's open that you can get snacks and use the bathroom at the same time as refueling your car and missing the Houston area gas prices. While you may want good customer service, at the end of the day this is just a pit stop type town and your just one of many people that they will serve all day. It's not like your going to be a regular here unless you travel often or stay out here for a project. My advice is to either get here earlier in the day where theres fresh food options and the town is actually open or just deal with what you get at night. read more

This is crazy... YES, it is a Gas Station I stopped at for GAS, Strong Coffee, and breakfast...please hear me out. They have a kitchen and serve fresh breakfast. They make the tortillas for your burritos or tacos right in front of you. Fresh!!!! They also have meat and Chicken Empanadas.... Good ones! It is a Gas Station so bare with me: 1) Attendants are okay. They are "friendly". The rules are: Get your stuff, paid for it, and get the F-OUT and on your way.... 2) the food I ordered was delicious. 3) Tortillas are made fresh-Home-made just for you. 4) Coffee was STRONG and fresh. 5) The cashier is NO Nonsense kinda person. Get your Sh&t, show me your ID If ordering beer or other stuff and go. LOL!!! 6) Gas prices are competitive but I mainly stopped here for breakfast and strong coffee. Terrible service. Ordered $6.00 special on signs all over the store woman at counter didn't know how to make it and we noticed charge receipt was for $7.19. To top it all off the special included big gulp drink but none of the soda machines worked. They refused to refund or substitute a can of pop from the case. read more

This store had a great selection of jerky. They even had some natural jerky with several flavors to choose from. The rest room was okey, not really clean, but not a haz mat area either. Good selection of convenience store snacks and drinks. This store is a block north of IH 10. It's larger and has a lot more items compared to the other Stripes thats on the IH 10 frontage road. read more

Worst customer service and attitude of employees on any road trip I have taken at least the past 10 years. They have a huge sign on the soda window near their fountain drinks: "$1 Medium Drink" that I noticed when walking in the door so I went back there to get a medium cup. Well, there were none available on two different sets of cups although lots of all the other sizes. So I walked to the check out counter and asked one of the young ladies for a medium cup for the $1 drink and she replied "Are you a rewards (or whatever they call it) member and I said "No why" and she said that was required to get the $1 price (which I later noticed in VERY small print) so I asked "Can I get the card today" and she said Yes on your smart phone which I dont have. So I asked if I could borrow their card and another worker said "No because we will get fired". Seriously an employee is going to lose their job because they offerred some CUSTOMER SERVICE to get a ONE dollar fountain drink that might cost the store $0.10? Then the "manager" said that was exactly what would happen. That was so silly and outrageous that I simply walked out shaking my head. read more

The cashiers for Stripes were very friendly but I'm writing this review because the restaurant area had terrible customer service. My mom and I walked over to look at the menu and food available and the lady working the front asked us if we were ready 3 times within the same 90 seconds. It's not a big deal but we did feel rushed to order. My mom started, she asked for the 3 bistec tacos on an image in the menu and the lady just said "we don't have any" my mom said no tacos ? then asked what is available ? And the lady rudely pointed at the table of foods "that" . My mom confused asked a couple more questions about the dishes and options and this lady was just soo rude in everything that she said talking to us like we didn't deserve her respect to the point that she asked us "where are you from ??" insinuating that we don't understand. Also she sold tacos to a different customer after telling us there was none . I don't usually leave reviews but as a business owner I would like to know if my employees are belittling and loosing customers for the company. As far as the food it was okay , I had a plate of chicken fajitas and beans and rice. The chicken didn't have much flavor but the beans and rice were good . Their diesel pump works extremely slow ( took 35 minutes to fill up) and does not automatically stop when your truck is full. I was inside and come outside to see a puddle of diesel on the ground and the pump still pumping. I went inside to notify the attendant and I was blamed for the faulty pump for not standing next to it the entire time. Manager (tall obese male) is a dick. Would not reimburse me for diesel his faulty pump leaked on the ground. read more

older white lady refused to accept a valid drivers license for beer ..I recently lost my horizontal one, I'm 24 years old and still had an old one that was vertical and still valid for another year ..she refused to accept it or scan it ...cut me off and rudely talked over me when I tried to talk . The most clean and well-stocked bathroom I've been to so far driving from Los Angeles to San Antonio.

This gas station convenience store used to be ok. Upon on arrival today, the store was filthy. The bathrooms had TP all over the stalls, trash piled high, no hand soap dirty overall. Men's and women's. The only gas they had was 87. The handle to the gas pump someone had placed a thing of salsa so when you pulled out the pump handle it spilled all over. Not very well stocked. This one is off our list. My recommendation would be to keep moving. read more

This post is more so aimed toward the deli portion of the store. I was traveling to see family and had stopped at the store about 9:30 AM. Needing fuel and food I decided to stop there, having faith due to other locations in my area five hours away. I checked the break fast sandwich time on the package and it was at least three hours before the hour written on there to throw out. When I got to the car the sandwich was not only on white bread the meat was inedible due to inconsistencies in the meats texture and toughness. I went into the store and asked to have a refund or something of equal value. I was told if there was nothing wrong with the product they couldn't refund me. I then asked about a replacement and was denied. So all in all horrible customer service and bad food. read more
