On August 10, 2026, I ordered a taco salad. When I arrived home, I found the salad brown and wilted…read more(see photos). I was going to do a Yelp review then but decided not to, thinking this may have just been a one-off incident. Today, August 31, 2026, I ordered through Wendy's app, 2 ten-piece nuggets and a taco salad for drive-thru pickup. I arrived at the store 15 minutes later and was told by the drive-thru window person (a younger Asian woman) to park at the front of the store and that my order would be brought to my car. Watching numerous cars being served and after waiting for almost 15 minutes, I walked into the store. As I approached the counter, the same young woman who told me to park, looked at me. I asked her how much longer my order was going to take, but she turned away and started to work on filling drinks, ignoring my question, and avoided looking in my direction. Instead of assisting me or asking another worker to help me, she simply turned away. A few seconds later, another worker approached me asking if I needed help. After explaining what was happening, she spoke to the first girl, who again didn't appear to be concerned and continued doing other things. At tis point, I flagged down the manager, Solo, and told him that I was still waiting for my order for now, almost 20 minutes. He checked the computer for my order and asked if I had already gotten the salad. I told him I hadn't received anything, so he began to fill my order. He apologized and told me I could get a free meal on my NEXT visit. Sadly, I told hm I didn't think I'd be visiting that store again. Checking my order when I returned to my car, I found a single box of twenty-piece nuggets instead of 2 ten-piece nuggets (the nuggets were for two people at different locations, so I had to divide them evenly, keeping 10 in the box and dumping 10 into a package. Instead of the taco salad, I got a Caesar salad. Frustrated and irritated, I decided against going back into the store and just kept the order. We've been long time repeat customer at this location (Waipio Store), but after going through this ordeal, I'll drive the extra miles and visit a different Wendy's. This Wendy's store lacks proper customer skills and serves subpar salads. I will also be sending this to Wendy's Corp through the app.

This McDonald's location is the BEST - I'm a mature customer who's been to many, many McDonald's island wide, but this is the BEST! Why? Great customer service, CLEAN, and food has yet to disappoint. First off, this location will try their best to make things right - they don't get things wrong often, but I saw them this morning - post Hurricane Lala - doing their best to "fix" a small error in an order. Excellent customer service! I went there because I had an issue with their app, and poor things gotta fix mistakes that start with the app. But they resolved the issue without any pilikia and I am GRATEFUL!!! Staff kept apologizing, but hey - it happened during a hurricane so totally understandable and not their fault. Lots of smiles, lots of help for staff who wanted to resolve this. Really great McDonald's that we will continue to visit at least once a week and let me share - I am VERY happy with this location, its staff, and the food! Mahalo to Waipi'o McDonalds!!!!!

Worker wiping tables came to me and I stated I had a curbside order. She grabs my drinks from the mini fridge and order from the counter, just sitting there. I stated that no one came out for my curbside order. The worker said she saw my car. I said well no one came out with my curbside order. She just said thank you! This is my second time that curbside takes forever, but I did not report the first incident thinking it was just a one off. Apparently not. I would use the drive-thru but the app will not allow me to select drive thru option. Why have these options if they don't work?

I guess smelling it after school hit a nerve because I couldn't resist! Service at this location is pretty top-notch. The workers are friendly, prompt, and always seem to have a smile on their faces! I appreciate that they're a fast-food spot, but they still make the effort to greet each customer and provide that extra bit of hospitality. Gabriel helped me both times yesterday, and it was pretty funny when he thought I had a doppelgänger haha! He even tried to remember my name, which I thought was pretty awesome. The food options are minimal, but let's be honest - you go to Cane's for the chicken tenders, so that part is pretty much settled. One nice thing to note is that they'll discount the combo if you don't want the drink, which is always a plus because I usually only drink water. Overall, another solid Cane's experience! Good food, friendly service, and a crew that clearly puts some personality into what they do. Definitely a spot I'm happy to swing by when that Cane's craving hits!
