I remembered seeing a electronic sign at the Jack in the Box about the Crispy Shrimp Tacos. Shrimp tacos??? Sound pretty good to me, plus the picture shown in that electronic sign made it look so good. Shoooooooooooooots then, I go chance 'em!!! Got me two Crispy Shrimp Tacos for $7 bucks & some change. What can I say about the grub? For $7 bucks you really can't complain about the grub. Maybe just work on the presentation, as it could use a little work because they dumped one crispy shrimp taco over the other & crammed it into a little box! Lol!!! This place is terrible for late night food ordered/drive thru between 1-5am. How is it literally no one is here managing the building. The lights are on but no one is home. I've tried coming through this drive-thru at least 7 times between 12 AM-2 AM, and every single time I'm told they're "closed" because only one person is working. Last night made it worse. As I pulled up, the employee was outside talking to someone in a Honda Civic. She went inside just to tell me they were closed, but as I drove off, I saw her go right back outside and get into the car and sit in the back seat of the Honda civic. I came here for what seems like a bi-annual trek to JNB these days. I typically love JNB but this was the worst experience thus far. When we arrived, there were no cars ordering and only one car wiring for their order. After waiting for some time, I literally activated the timer on my phone to see how much longer. It was only another 2.5 minutes... to get a fountain drink. That was it! Once we pulled to the window, I started the timer. It took 3.5 minutes from the time we got to the window to receive our order. And that was after we sat at the intercom for 2 minutes waiting for someone to ask what we wanted to order. We literally watched the staff just walking around and joking the entire time we waited at the window. By the time we left, the drive thru was almost to the street. A week ago, I went to the drive thru at the Waipio location after work, a little past 10pm. I was greeted by an employee telling me "hi so I'm waiting for the 10pm shift to come in, I'm done with work sorry". As a fellow food industry worker I wasn't upset but I was shocked. Tonight at about 10:50pm, I went to the drive thru again after work. This time an employee told me "sorry we are only taking mobile orders right now". I only come here when I want Jack in the Box and don't want to drive to another location. This place teeters between a 1 and a 2 star for me. I feel sorry for the staff because it looks like they lose people all the time. Someone different each visit. Plus they are always running with two to three staff. Went there 9pm on a Saturday night was empty we ordered two sourdough jacks asked if can get um fresh not the ones sitting in the warmer, haha went home was undercooked plain and the bun not toasted I couldn't believe my eyes! April 10th at 12:03 in the morning, I order an iced coffee on mobile to make it easier for them. Was left on the speaker for 10 minutes so I drove forward, all of a sudden a random man not in uniform said the manager walked out and that he and the other guy don't know how to make anything and to get a refund on the app. Jacks really needs to fix EVERYTHING they have going on there. Claims to be 24 hour drive thru but that's a lie! We went because the lights for the drive thru were all on and the 24 hour drive thru light was on as well. Yet, they were closed! We waited at the speaker/menu for a good 5 minutes with 3 cars behind us. We finally drove up and realized they were closed!!! We went to Taco Bell instead. As we drove past, there were about 4 cars still waiting at the drive thru, not knowing they were closed! If you going close, at least turn off the Signs and the drive thru light!!!!! So often their drive thru has problems at night. Once they told me their system was down and they are only taking cash. Other times there was a cone blocking the drive thru, but at least that indicated they were closed. Such an unreliable place to grab a late night snack. So disappointing. read more

I ordered a Supreme sourdough with no bacon through drive through and a supreme croissant came up on the screen. I said that is not correct. When I repeated what I wanted, the correct sandwich came up on the screen. When I pulled up to pay I was given my food in a bag, but when I got home the sandwich was the wrong one, actually the first sandwich that showed up on the screen. Unfortunately, I see I have lots of company with the comments . Service is super slow at the Mililani Jack in the Box too so the Waipio one isn't alone. I've found this crew never asks about the choice of meat in the breakfast jack and never asks about sugar or cream for coffee. And once requested, hands you the sugar and cream but no stirrer. Two stars because it's hard to screw up slapping a fried egg and a slice of ham in a bun, frying a hash brown and pouring coffee but general disinterest by the crew is just sad overall. read more

We went to this restaurant yesterday about 4pm. There were no cars outside and the restaurant was empty. An employee stood outside in the front smoking a cigarette. We could smell the smoke as we entered. There was no one visible behind the counter. We noticed a rack full of fries that were already made next to the deep fryer. A male finally came out. He did not greet us and did not know how to use the register. He had to ask the employee who was outside smoking. We had a large order which came out very fast. We did not see or hear anyone working in the back. The food did not taste good at all. This is the same Waipio Jack In The Box where the drive thru employee told us they didn't have a cook! Went to Jack in the Box Waipio today and ordered the Garden Salad with Crispy Chicken and Southwest Ranch dressing! So Ono! I used the lid to cut up the cherry tomatoes and chicken and then went through and cut up the lettuce because it was big chunks. This salad was so good and wow look at this portion size! Filling! I ordered a large ice tea but should have just stuck with a small or medium it was a lot!! I generally just order to go through the app and pick up in the drive-thru but I actually had time today and was visiting with my friend. For those folks who were complaining about the dine-in service not being available I believe this location was short staffed and at times would be closed to support the staff that showed up. If the drive-thru is closed often times it's routine maintenance with cleaning the grills. I frequent this store when I drop my friend home from work and usually just come by for my coffee and french toast sticks. Late night junk food. Its probably the best time to eat Jack in the box! I gave a 2 stars, 1 for being very consistent with flavor. Another because the workers here are always nice! Thats it. We came home with out food fresh. Settled down and started eating and we were soooooo disappointed to find out food at room temperature, almost cold. It was kinda like they already made our food and nothing was heated or fried. It was gross. The curly fries are my favorite and those were hard (you know when fries aren't made to order or heated) they taste stale. Blehhh. Our sandwiches was also a bit cold. It was weird. Our jalapeno poppers cold, like the cheese didn't melt and our egg rolls wasn't crunchy. Really ruined the night with cold/room temperature food. read more

I went to the bathroom.. as I exit, an older lady from inside the kitchen RUDELY yells at me and tells me, YOU not suppose to use the bathroom?" It's broken!! You didn't see the sign? I honestly prefer to leave good reviews, but in this case, and to my surprise finding the recent reviews, also giving one stars, I must concur as well one star; Ordering food at 7:30 PM the intercom is broken. Several cars in front of me waiting to move forward. There is no sign. Eventually someone came out to say that it's broken. It's probably best to just put a sign to say that it's broken. that's a huge downer on a business that's fast food. You're depending on intercom to work. Someone should be on with tech-support or corporate should be in the know to where this place needs to be on the spotlight a month of bad reviews is not acceptable. This wait time is not acceptable and I'm sure that causes a lot of grief to the employees who just simply want to work and do a good job if frustrates everyone. I'm not sure at what point during the day they stop selling the bulk of their menu, but we've been here multiple times over the last few months to try and order food and they always cut us off and say "we're only serving fryer foods".
