We stopped in after a recommendation from a volunteer at the Kileaua NWR. We love Johnny's! We had a fabulous beef stew and two different sandwiches - one meatloaf and the other avocado. All of these items were delicious! There was ample produce available and restrooms in a separate building. Excellent, friendly ohana service. The vibe is nice, clean, friendly staff. We got a strawberry matcha milk, 2 Mac nut lattes, 2 breakfast burritos with Portuguese sausage, and a cinnamon roll. The good: the coffee was great, both iced and hot it was consistently good. The cinnamon roll was a cross between a roll and a muffin and that combo is pure genius . The icing was generous and not overly sweet, we loved it. Strawberry matcha milk was delicious, smooth, and creamy. The meh: the burritos were just okay , the man hero cheese added an odd tart flavor that didn't seem to fit and the Portuguese sausage was ground and lacked flavor. I would have preferred sliced sausage . Not terrible just not worth getting again. Overall, I would recommend this place.

I ordered one of their specialty drinks, the Buddha Brew (ONYX COLD BREW, SALTED MACADAMIA, AND LOCAL COCONUT MILK - SERVED SHAKEN OVER ICE ) while Miori went with her usual iced vanilla latte. The drinks were fine, but honestly, the coffee didn't wow us, it was just okay. That said, the overall vibe of the shop was nice, and the outdoor seating area worked well for hanging out. One thing to note: there are a lot of chickens and roosters roaming around, which is very Kauai but something to keep in mind if you plan to sit and enjoy a meal or coffee outside. Highlights: - Easy parking in the shared lot - Specialty drinks like the Buddha Brew are unique - Small shop with a chill vibe - Outdoor seating available - Be prepared for Kauai's resident chickens

All in all a great option that we would be happy to stop at again.

A simple question have you been here before would've been helpful. Seating was plentiful and environment was comfortable. Just a little disappointed on the overall service. With as many choices that you have when they are, I probably won't go back here.

The Churro French Toast is life changing. Full order can easily feed 3-4 people. Crispy, sweet, yet soft and tasty inside. Best description is a combination of a churro, mixed with a cinnamon roll, mixed with a donut. Would highly recommend. They offer a half portion too which is great for 2 people to share. The breakfast burritos are legit. Massive, tasty, delicious, and filling. About the same size and width as a 32oz Yeti bottle. Ordered the veggie burrito with bacon and the Smoked Pork burrito. Loved both. Tots, veggies, cheese, meat, all loaded. Even the salsas were 10/10. Seating is limited, maybe enough for 8-10 people total to sit inside, but they take to go orders and you can walk 5 minutes to Hanalei beach and eat by the ocean. TLDR - Try it, you won't be disappointed.
