The epitome of mediocrity…read more This place feels like a tourist trap. We stopped by for din and then first thing we noticed was how pricey their food was. We tried the chicken parmesan and their shrimp gamberetti. It was just really so average. The pasta itself didn't feel fresh. Also, no free bread apparently (it is listed on the menu for $11, which is is wild). And the service here is terrible, not to mention our waitress being incredibly awkward. And the tip is calculated on top of tax and fees. Wasn't even sure what I was tipping for. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We got brunch here before going on a hike and because our sandwiches were so big we only ate half and ate the rest after our hikes. I got the vegan blt (note the tofu is marinated in soy sauce so it's not gluten free) on gluten free bread and they actually gave me 2 sandwiches because the regular bread is massive. My husband got the regular blt and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both got the side of potatoes and they were warm, crispy, and creamy all at once. We liked this place so much we even ordered online the next morning and picked it up on our way to Banff. If you have any food allergies - they're super helpful and knowledgeable about their food, so be sure to ask any questions!

They have slot machines in the back, a tv and sofa area in the center with a full bar. Friendly service and cheap drinks. I also had dropped my mask somewhere in there and the next day, I checked the front desk and someone turned it in!! Don't even think that's gross - my mask was a handmade baby yoda one that I loved, so a toss in the wash won't do no harm. Just the fact that whoever (guest or staff) found it had the heart to turn it in shows a lot about this place and it is much appreciated.

Jasper's Wafflato 618 Connaught Drive July 6,2026…read more While visiting Jasper for two days in early July 2026, I made a point to explore meal options, and for one breakfast I visited Jasper's Wafflato for breakfast. I was greeted with no waiting, and Srushti brought me water and a menu. The restaurant was nicely arranged, sound levels allowed easy conversations, and the service was excellent. I ordered the Classic Belgian Waffle (a freshly pressed Belgian waffle drizzled with maple syrup and icing sugar, $12 CAD), along with two poached eggs ($4 CAD) and a peanut butter banana smoothie ($10 CAD). Within 15 minutes Srushti served me the meal, and I was left to look out into the beautiful July skies in Jasper.

What caught my eyes on the menu were the star symbol, Fried Chicken Savory Waffles - homemade buttermilk fried chicken, hot honey glaze. I anticipated fried chicken thigh. Nope! Balanced this hot and sweet meal with Canada's finest maple syrup. Light, crispy, crunchy, savory, spicy, sweet, tangy. They've mastered the art of waffles down to a science where it rises back up and maintains its original shape when pierced with a fork. Ambiance is well lit and relaxing. Tried the: Potato Gratin: 9/10, really grainy but could tell they used a lot of real cheese. Potato was perfectly cooked and I loved that there was lots of sauce. Very pretty presentation. Orange chicken: 8.5/10, chicken as super tasty but just too much ginger for me in the sauce. Rice was very very bland. Spiralized diakon/parsnip was a great light vegetable that Looked like raw onion but thankfully wasn't. Loved it. Drink, The Opener: 10/10. Size appears small but by the end of it I was done with it.
