I supported this Popeyes the best I could, even defended it once on Facebook. I've been to Popeyes…read moreall my life since I've grown up in Louisiana, but these last 2 times at this location was disgraceful. One time I was pulling up at 10:36pm on a Saturday and the guy throwing out trash had the gall to look and sound annoyed when he shouted they're closed.... 30 min earlier than it should've. My last time here yesterday gave me the absolute worse cuts of chicken I've ever gotten at a Popeyes. How is the breast meat all fatty? Disgusting waste. This place need Quality Control BADLY.

The floor was clean as were all of the tables, looking like there are some people who care here. The young man at the counter took my order, assured me it wouldn't take long and before the receipt had printed, another clerk had handed me the custard with a lid and spoon. Fabulous. Mrs. K. really likes frozen custard and has a hierarchy of favorites. Freddy's is right up there near the top and their consistency is one reason why. This is light, firm and has a great chocolate flavor to it. It sticks to the spoon and doesn't melt quickly. Delicious and it doesn't need mix-ins as a substitute for low quality. This is the good stuff! [Review 415 of 2026 - 724 in Texas - 25598 overall]

Ordered chili cheese hotdog, light on the chili with cheese, extra mustard and onions. Received hot dog with no onions no cheese light chili. Light mustard. Asked for onions... lady was adamant she couldn't take the hotdog back to put onions on it. Instead gave me onions on the side. My sisters hamburger was no cheese, lettuce and extra pickle with mayo. Had to request extra mayo. Bun was stale and crackly. Worse hamburger ever. She literally stated she wished we had gone to McDonalds. Received no napkins and had to ask for them. $16.00 Freddie's has gone down hill. Way down hill.

Ps if you're going to do this make sure the customers aren't fluent in Spanish lol. The worst thing is the food used to be pretty great for a jack in the box. I ordered the French Dip sandwich and was told they were out of Swiss cheese, but if I wanted a different cheese I would be charged extra because it didn't come with it. That made no sense at all. The au jus was terrible. It tasted like plain black water with no flavor whatsoever. Between the service and bland food, this was easily one of the worst Schlotzsky's experiences I've had. $35.00 later we left and to never to return

So they built a brand new one on the same lot right next to the old one. This one is much bigger and can handle all the traffic. I'm not big on the fried chicken but I do like the fried catfish & tiny hush puppies. The cole slaw is also very nice. I prefer Sam's seafood for Catfish, hush puppies & coleslaw, however, Chicken express catfish hush puppies & cole slaw are just as good, they just don't serve fried shrimp like Sam's does.
