We were greeted by our server and we decided to order Subway Salad for 3 people. We added all the ingredients along with chicken. My husband and I had a long day in RMNP and I just really wanted a sandwich. We walked into Subway and were immediately greeted by several workers who seemed to be enjoying their day. The sandwich hit the spot, for sure. What was even better is that my husband left his bankcard....after realizing it was missing, he stopped there the next day and it was safe and waiting for him. If you go online, you will find subway always has coupon codes that will not work If you walk in the door order the sandwich and have them make it while you wait. You have to order the sandwich online. So like right now they have FLBOGO, which means by 1 foot long to get one free. But you have to order it online in order to take advantage of the coupon, but give me a break. I have to figure you have way more fun things to do than wait in line for a sandwich to be made. We are trying to support as many food providers during this time of health concern as we have been able to. My kids wanted Subway, as reluctant as I was, we made our order online. Online ordering went well, and was ready for pick-up within 15 minutes. Upon arrival, customers were just standing in line ordering as if there it just a normal day. No masks on either worker behind the counter, only the sandwich preparer wore gloves. Even my son who went in to pick up our order was appalled at the situation. We opened our sandwiches, which were the "correct" ordered sandwiches, were made wrong. None had cheese, none were toasted, one was light pickle and had half a jar poured on it, and the "Turkey Bacon Guacamole" had no Guacamole! My kids were upset and wanted them done right, so we called. "Bye!" was how the phone was answered, and then the line went dead. These guys are quite friendly and proficient; looking at the previous reviews for this location, it looks like they were posted some time ago and, at least according to my experience, the management has worked out whatever issues the restaurant may have once had. The food was delicious and well-prepared, with exactly the correct amounts of sauce and other condiments that was requested. I stopped in for a couple of breakfast sandwiches for myself and a work associate, and was in and out of the restaurant within ten minutes. The place was very clean and as was previously indicated, the staff was quite friendly and accommodating. The prices were about what you'd expect for Estes Park--a bit of a markup from similar chains "down in town," but still within reason for the value. The cookies are fresh-baked, and I couldn't help but add a pack of them to the order. I regret nothing, though I should probably have walked an extra mile that day to make up for the deed. Overall, I could go through the menu offerings, but most everyone knows what to expect from a Subway so that seems rather moot. Good (and sometimes, mostly-healthy) sandwiches at fair prices. Avoid this Subway! Normally Subway is an oasis of healthy fast food while one travels. I ordered a 6-inch veggie patty flatbread and then when they were putting condiments on there was no flatbread. I asked where it was and they seemed surprised; after all I very clearly stated the order. Then they looked around and informed me they were "out". Ok, so it's only 6" inch cheese. That's ok. But then I get to register and ask "where are the chips?". We're out of chips, all brands. Ok, so now my meal is getting really small. Plus, right in the middle of making my sandwich the guy stops, looks outside and points to another worker to take over. The guy goes outside and you can see him talking to with this scruffy guy...what the hell?? Further, 2 or 3 of the gentlemen workers are from another country (some internship), which is fine. However, their English skills are very poor and that means more management is needed - which this Subway obviously lacks. Very rude and obnoxious servers. We eat at subway often and this was by far the worst service we've ever had. Cashier chewed me out for asking where my change was because the change machine was hidden behind drink cups. This was after a fiasco with the previous cashier and problems with the cc machine forcing me to go back out to the car and get cash. Too bad the servers were not wearing name tags. I have a severe allergy to peppers. The first and second person on the line were very helpful. Even changing gloves to prevent cross contamination. My sandwich was beautiful. WASis a key word there. I asked for a little mayo and mustard...this woman steps forward and squirts a large line of mustard from one end to the other , back again and then a third line of mustard. I was saying stop! She told me that's the way to make the sandwich, she knows what she's doing! Then she rolled my sandwich open side down and smashed it! I said, you smashed it! I looked to her manager and said, not only has she overloaded it with mustard, she smashed it! He acted as if I was out of my mind. He said she has to wrap it! I said, I know. I've had many subs and they have never been wrapped like that or smashed like that! I was upset, there was a ton of people in line, so I quickly left. I went back in to tip the people that had been so helpful and hopefully turn things around, only to have more lip from the woman who smashed my sandwich. The mgr finally told her to stop antagonizing but she continued. When I got to my room the sandwich was mush. I used all of the napkins they sent with the sandwich trying to blot up the mustard. Soon it was all over the wrapper and me. I called the mgr. the person on the phone was making derogatory remarks about me and the mgr was also.
