It's your basic subway with what you'd come to expect from a subway. The sandwich quality is consistent, decent chip selection, pleasant employees, and an ok drink selection (there's typically never ice tea). It appears updated and clean inside. My teen likes to get a sandwich here when we're traveling and has no complaints. Biggest issue is honestly the parking. It's kinda tight in front and often is competing with the thai place next door. All of the above need improvement: Food, service and basic ambiance for a chain deli anyway . I don't understand why this is a place that continues to serve stale food. They are extremely rude. On 5/8/2026 i walked in right behind a gentleman who was wearing scrubs. I was directly behind him and he allowed the door to swing closed. I always hold a door for someone who's right behind me, but that's just me I guess! He then began speaking to the woman behind the counter in a very loud manner, in his own native tongue. He was also extremely rude. There was only one customer in this Subway who was sitting at a table by the window, myself and the rude gentleman wearing scrubs who ordered nothing but spoke loudly to the lady behind the counter. I ordered a foot-long on wheat bread and 6 cookies. I got home only to learn that the cookies could break a window and so could the bread. I would imagine there were no fresh bakes on either since probably 2 days prior. The subway on Walmart is top notch by far! Stick to that one y'all! I gave this one on Ary lane my third and final try. It's far worse now than it ever was before and that's saying a lot. The staff does not care what they are giving you or how long it's been there. They seem to just be about making money, which isn't a bad thing after all yes? But shouldn't you also want to build business by serving fresh food instead of last weeks left overs? Sandwiches simply were horrible and entire order was incorrect. We ordered a meatball and a cold cut trio. Meatball was over toasted very little sauce and didn't have the extra cheese requested. Cold cut trio ended up being a ham sandwich with all the toppings on the side which wasn't requested. We couldn't call the Subway directly. If I could give zero stars I would. Went in with a 12" sub coupon. Had my 2 children there buying them a sandwich. I asked the lady behind the counter if she could cut it in half, for two 6" sandwiches. I asked for turkey on one side and ham on the other. The lady refused to accommodate this and allow the use of a coupon for a 12" sandwich. I asked her if the coupon would apply if I did either a 12" ham OR turkey... she said yes, but refused to do half and half. Had the most disappointing experience today! Placed an order online, the app said order received and updated to preparing then updated to Ready. Went to pick up and they stated they never received the order. My credit card was charged. The staff were incredibly rude and failed to help in any way. They could have called the owner/manager but basically refused and ignored me. The worst customer service ever. Rude and refused to resolve or even acknowledge the problem. I sent a complaint through the subway website and finally received a credit for the charge on my credit card. Will NEVER go back! The 2 younger girls that work there in the evenings are very nice and I hope they find other jobs! They deserve better! read more

Came here about 2 months ago, and I'm giving them 4 stars because I still remember my positive experience, and that says something for a Subway. Early morning, there was one guy working the entire store - the drive-thru AND indoors! He was toasting sandwiches, grabbing bags of chips, and taking orders like a boss. I'm like Happy Gilmore, I should be sponsored by Subway. And let me just tell you, this is the worst Subway I've ever been to. And unfortunately it's the closest one to my house. The employees clearly don't give two sh*ts about their job. They were closed for like four days one time because they were out of bread. That'd be like McDonald's running out of French fries for four days. They were out of napkins once so I just used the guy's apron to dab the tuna from my face. I went in there once and ordered a footlong Spicy Italian and they seriously put three slices of pepperoni and three slices of salami on it. When I was like "yo, can you make that sandwich properly?" (in a much nicer, less condescending way) and they then charged me $2 for double meat... To get to 12 slices of meat. I know the employees are called "sandwich artists", but I will confirm that they are definitely part of the minimalist movement. I don't know what kind of agreements that franchisees have to make with Subway corporate, but corporate should take back their name off of the building, lest our already-low expectations continue to be unmet. read more

I have never been "ripped off" by a Subway store like the one in Dixon. Waited in the drive up line. Ordered a sandwich which clearly stated $9.60 for the sandwich and added a large drink. Went to window. Party at window took my credit card and said $16.50 for the meal. I realized this was a mistake but she did not come back to tell her. When she came back with sandwich and drink and my credit card I explained this had to be a mistake due to sandwich cost and drink. She said no, it was not a mistake, they had raised the price of the sandwiches but had not changed the price on their outdoor ordering system. She just shrugged her shoulders and said there was nothing she could do about it and closed the pick up window in my face. No wonder Subway is a failing fast food restaurant. I just went through the drive through moments ago after ordering through the ordering system they have set up. Once I got to the window the lady read my order back to me then proceeded to ask if we were going to tip with cash or card? That immediately was kind of off setting. After that, we wait about 10-15 mins for our food. She hands it out the window and we got the wrong chips, they made me a 6inch instead of a footlong and then made me another 6inch to fix their mistake. Subway - get your act together, take this store back from the owner. There was ONE employee working in the whole store. He was very friendly and competent but was running the whole place, including drive thru, alone. I've worked in fast food before and asked why that was. He told me it happens often when fellow co-workers simply don't show up, when he notifies the owner/manager, they simply don't care. The worker told me on several occasions he has to stay on after his shift because his replacement doesn't show up. Wow. New management, and the place has a completely different vibe to it. The former employees always seemed really down, like they wanted to be anywhere in the world but at work. I felt like I needed to apologize for making them work. I never wanted to review it because I assumed it would go out of business and I didn't want to put another nail in the coffin. It's now my favorite Subway. The new people seem like they are really having fun and are super-friendly. This was my first time visiting here, it's updated on the inside but the layout is a little confusing so I somehow ended up at the back of the line instead of at the ordering part....oops! Like I said, I wasn't feeling my usual self. So Morgan, brunette guy with blue eyes, asks me if I need a sandwich. First I say yes and then made a sarcastic joke about needing a car, definitely was NOT a good idea. I was only trying to be funny, and that's when I realised I was in the wrong area! Which of course embarrassed me and I apologised for being rude..twice. And he was just not having. He was getting ruder by the moment and I was awkwardly frozen there. I have been here a few times since moving to town and I agree with another review saying there's a lot of employee chatter as opposed to work. The food is just like any other subway, except... They were advertising the $6 BBQ chicken sandwich for the month of May but were out of the chicken with 5 days left in the month. The franchise owner refused to offer any alternative for the same price. While its not a huge deal, there are principles to these things. A corporation that advertises a price on an item for a limited timeframe must honor the advertisement during that timeframe or it's false advertising which is technically illegal. I found the franchise owner to be pretty smug on the matter and I left, never to return. The next day, I went to the Subway by the Walmart, they had plenty of BBQ chicken and the franchise owner was polite and pleasant. It might be a small point, but I encourage all in the Dixon area to go to that subway. These things matter. read more

We tried to do the drive thru and we sat there forever before a girl came to the window and let us know that the system wasn't working, however she some how had our order.... it didn't make sense. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait. Normally I don't write reviews but in this case I thought it necessary. My mother and I went into subway to split a footlong Thursday for lunch. A younger gentleman started to help us out, I could tell he was new and training but was very helpful and polite. The woman training him then came over threw out the bread that he had cut for us without saying a word, which was insulting to the young trainee who cut the bread fine. Then since my mother and I wanted different meats on each side said, "I'm going to have to charge you for 2 sandwiches". She never smiled, embarrassed the boy, and was very unpleasant. We paid for our "2" sandwiches and left. She not only wasted bread but had a bad attitude. The sandwiches were fine (that the boy made) but we won't be going back if she's working. The last two times I've been here, their Diet Coke tastes like someone spit chewing tobacco in the cup . I even had someone else taste it and they agreed. This is a great store with good food but the world names BEN specifically is by far the worst subway worker I have ever encountered. Not only did he take five hours for my simple salad but he was very abusive with his looks of judgment with all my food preferences. Then when I tried to order a cookie he chose for me and said he wouldn't give me a different one no matter what I said. To top it all off he gave me a discount when I wanted to pay full prove which is extremely rude. They don't answer the intercom at the drive thru, so I pulled up to the window to see if I could pick up my online order from there, so I wouldn't have to take my daughter out of the car or leave her in it. Sat at the window for about 5 minutes and still no one came up. Went in and grabbed it thinking they must have been busy, but no. Two employees and they were literally just standing there. On my daughters sandwich, I specified less mustard and less mayonnaise. Not only was there mustard all over the outside of the sandwich and on the paper, but I squished the sandwich down while wiping it off and mustard and mayonnaise poured out.
