Everybody knows what Subway is like right? Many have Coke Zero available , this one doesn't.

This subway is so slow and I always get a chopped salad that they manage to mess up every time.

I ordered the CHICKEN SANDWICH which I did enjoy. I found the chicken to be covered in a crunchier coasting that some other chains, but it's flavour was a little bland to me. The dipping sauce is very important to me at a chicken chain. I like to dip fries and chicken tenders (if ordered). I was not a fan of the Raising Cane signature Cane sauce.

This was my first time ever having Raising Cane's. The fries were a good portion, but definitely too soggy. The Texas toast is fairly good, I could taste the butter on it; personally, when I'm already eating fried chicken and french fries, I probably don't need another brown carb with it, but I know it's just their "thing." The chicken fingers were decent size and I'm sure they would've been crispier if it wasn't for the styrofoam container. The breading was nice because it was a little heavier than Popeye's in my opinion, but not by much. I liked the Cane Sauce personally, although it was a tad salty. I'm glad I can say I tried it, but I'm not craving it strongly. Drive-thru service was fast, which was a plus.

Every time we're back in town, one of our very first stops is Skyline, especially when we're visiting Kings Island. I spend the entire year craving it because there's simply nothing else like it. My order has never changed: a 4-Way with onions and a Cheese Coney with onions. One bite instantly takes me back to childhood family dinners and all the memories that come with them. People who aren't from Cincinnati might not understand Skyline's Greek-style chili, but that's part of what makes it so special. The warm Mediterranean spices, the perfectly cooked spaghetti, and that mountain of finely shredded cheddar cheese create a flavor that's impossible to duplicate. It's pure Cincinnati comfort food. This visit was just as great as I remembered. The customer service was warm and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food came out fresh and delicious. It's comforting to know that even after moving away, I can come back and find the same flavors and hospitality that made me fall in love with Skyline in the first place. Thank you for keeping a little piece of home exactly the way I remember it. We'll be back every time we're in town!

So it only seemed natural that I'd fall in love with Food Street, but I was worried that my expectations would exceed the reality. So instead of going in... I decided to order delivery through good ole Door Dash - expecting a sad, slightly cold, non crispy shadow what you'd get in person but let me tell yas.... this was not the case at all! Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich was phenomenal! It was wicked crispy, the size of my head (quick makes this a HUGE value... not that my head is that big, but order it to get an idea), bun was not soggy at all, and it did not disappoint. Chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, not chewy at all, and seasoned well. Coleslaw added a nice vinegar contrast (I wish there was much more coleslaw but it didn't stop me!), sauce was smokey and slightly spicy, and the bun was soft. Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll was also a hit! Great seasoning, chicken was incredibly well cooked - melt in your mouth style - with small bits of char - vegetables were fresh, and the roll itself had great chew and flavor w/out being greasy (at all) or saturated. Fries were bangers too. Ready to eat my way through the menu. If it's this good when ordered, can't image what'd it be in house.

We went to the counter to place or order, we ordered, faluda, garlic chicken wrap, Malia boti wrap gappa chaat and mango lassi. Everything except for the faluda tasted just ok. Nothing for me to go back and try it again. Now let's go back to the faluda. They forgot to give us the faluda. We had to ask 3 times and almost 2 hours later, they finally brought it out. And it tasted nothing like any form of faluda. It was vanilla ice cream with crushed pistachio. No apologies or explanation for the wait. With so many great places to have Indian/desi street food, this is not one of them.

This location was closed for a long while due to a fire, and we were overjoyed when they finally re-opened. Okay, for folks who've never been, Roosters is a chain local to Ohio and only found in Central Ohio: Columbus and the Columbus-metro area. They're a bar serving bar food, with a focus on chicken wings, and they do it well; we have NEVER been to a bad Roosters yet. The wings are battered, deep-fried, tossed with their any of their own sauces, and served up hot, fresh, and tasty. They also do burgers, subs, pizzas, a variety of deep-fried appetizers and sides, and some soups/salads to balance things out. Let's be blunt: it's bar food. It's not epic best-I've-ever-had gourmet stuff -- but what Roosters does, it does well, it does fast, and it does friendly. It's solid, tasty, and hits the spot. You go here when you want to hang out, talk with friends, catch some sports, and relax with good grub and drinks, not because you want a gourmet dining experience. Husband and I LOVE their Carolina Gold sauce on the wings (other sauces are really good; the CG is just our personal fave); we're fans of their Red/Bacon/Blue salad (salad stuff, bacon, bleu cheese crumbles & their red house dressing), onion feathers, and I could eat their hot pretzels & cheese every day. Yes, there are other places that do great gourmet pretzel dipping sauces, but dammit, usually I just want big, soft, buttery hot pretzels with good nacho cheese sauce, and Roosters does it right. Like I said, solid, tasty, American-Midwest bar food. And by the way? Their staff is awesome!

The food was solid and the service was fine--no complaints--but it doesn't really separate itself from a lot of similar spots. It's the kind of place you go when you want something easy and predictable. Bottom line: Nothing wrong with it, just pretty standard bar food in a sports bar setting.

Now my boy has been wanting to tryout Sonic for over a year now and back home, here in SD, for one reason or another, it never happened...yet. However, while in Columbus, Ohio last month, the convenience and mystique it held over my son was too much to pass up. After a quick walk in quite brisk conditions, we were eager to step inside, get a strong sniff of those fries bathing in oil (ctacklin and shacklin). Alas, it would not be for this Sonic does not have an inside and possibly none of them do, hence the focus on old school drive up eating?!? Anyways we continued to freeze while we order and waited for our food. Strike 1 My son ordered the "butger of the month" the Pretzel Burger" (pretzel as in the bun) with bacon. He actually ordered the combo which of course came with fries and drink. I got a side order of the fries along with a milkshake. Cookies n Cream. I find it hard to screw up a milkshake but I cannot tell you why this was so, but both my son and I thought it was sub par. It bordered being flavorless, which makes one ponder.... As for the bigger and fries? My son claims the burger to be "decent" while we both thought the fries to be "very mid" in his lingo. Very average in mine. If ever you should find yourself in Columbus Ohio near Ohio St University, and you happen upon a Sonic, our advice to you is to keep driving! Hit for the love of God, DO NOT stop at the Taco Bell. While I must admit this to be one of my guilty pleasures, the way they make their tack meat sad disgusting!!!! I don't know if not was a mistake or if it's the way the all prefer it out there but they used Waaaayyyu too much taco seasoning. Awful!
