I don't know exactly what Garner's Market is trying to be... and more importantly, I don't care…read more It's half market, half deli, half collection of random memorabilia... yes, that's three halves. The math doesn't work, but neither does this place, and somehow that's exactly why it does. I got the Natural sandwich and even as I'm writing this review, I wish it was still in my mouth. It was outstanding. The kind of sandwich that makes you wonder if you've been wasting your life eating lesser sandwiches. They also had old-timey bottled sodas that were fantastic, plus a bunch of random chip brands I'd never heard of but was immediately willing to trust. No regrets there. I grabbed a cookie that looked soft, gooey, and delicious. It nailed the delicious part but missed on the soft part. If you're a crunchy cookie person, you're in luck. If you're like me and prefer your cookies to have the structural integrity of a wet sponge, you may be disappointed. The tables were lined with comic books, which is exactly how I would decorate my house if my wife weren't constantly protecting me from myself. The staff was friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Garner's is quirky, unique, and packed with personality. Highly recommend if you're anywhere nearby.

While visiting from San Francisco, I had a craving for catfish and came across this location. After…read morechecking the reviews, I decided to try the catfish meal along with jambalaya, and of course, I had to sample the highly recommended pineapple iced tea. The catfish was fried to perfection--crispy on the outside, though it could have used a touch more seasoning. Still, I enjoyed every bite. The jambalaya was flavorful and one of the best I've had in quite some time. I also ordered the lemon pepper wings, extra crispy, and they were so good that I cleaned the bones completely. I paired everything with the refreshing iced tea, and it made for a fantastic meal. I can't speak to the location or service since I ordered through DoorDash, but I would definitely return to this place!

Food was at best, on average, a 5/10 for the day time, at night, it plummets at an unfortunate 3/10, and this goes for items as simple as tacos and a beer. If the owner is there you may luck out, but he should not be the backbone, especially when the food is half decent. Staff needs to be re-evaluated.

DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $45.00! Infact the only good thing…read moreabout our visit was the outside staff, who made me feel like it might be a decent place to eat. I have been here since 2013 & never stopped in. The inside waiter could not explain the menu, nor could he get my partners order right, even after sending it back to be remade. I can easily go another 13 years without returning. The food is substandard for the cost. It's a shame that something Cleveland claims as an ICON of the 50's, (perhaps the business was great back then) was such a disappointment. I'd rather get a cheeseburger out of a vending machine. $45 for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks. Spend your money at McAllisters, you'll pay far less, for an edible meal. Zero Stars is too many. Train your inside staff better.
