Stopped in while traveling through. The inside was pretty cool with the decoration. The service was spot on and our waitress took care of us. Now they claim the chicken salad is famous. Now I wasn't a huge fan, it was very bland. It wasn't awful and is probably good for senior citizens since most can't have salt or spices. Wasn't a lot of flavor nor did I find it to be famous. It wasn't bad but I've tried it and now I would order something different next time. Gave 3 stars just because the thing they advertised as famous wasn't so good.

Chicken and rice soup. Fried pickles

Every time I come to Chattanooga, I go to Cleveland to buy shoes and to Jenkins to have a great lunch. Great service friendly atmosphere. The food is always good. I've tried so many different things but today I had the famous chicken salad sandwich. I was not disappointed, it was really good. I had fried pickles and chicken and rice soup. All of it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. Stop here when you go to Becky's in Cleveland to get shoes.

I've been going to Jenkins for over 20 years. I love the French dip and several other sandwiches. Something has changed recently and instead of sliced corn beef in the Ruben, it's some highly processed lunch meat, very little kraut and tons of onions. It was the worst food I've ever had at Jenkins. Still a great atmosphere. My husband's French dip was good as ever. But they need to fix the way they are now making the Ruben. Gross.

The eclectic novelty decor with toy train running in circles on an elevated track appears to be a main draw. The service was above average -- although we had to remind our server a couple of times for items we'd requested. Food quality is average (my steak fries were cold and mushy and the "chicken" tenders were not prepared with real chicken -- but processed parts shaped into fish size cutouts. The place is apparently a popular choice with locals and does serve adult beverages.

Worst burger ever. This is the H&H supposed to hot slaw and Sweetwater Valley smoked pimento cheese. I ordered it medium and as you can see something brown and chewy was on this bun. The hot slaw was not hot slaw. $10. 00 with fries and a drink. Wait staff just getting it done and not very friendly.

Very poor quality in food and service, it's mainly the bar and not food. The bar also has poor service.

Great supreme nachos. However, the Reuben was hot garbage. Horrible sauerkraut that seemed too old to be on a sandwich.

When we walked inside we realized that both places were combined inside which was cool. It was very spacious with many tables and places to sit. We came on a Tuesday for lunch, it wasn't that busy. I ordered a Carne Asada plate and chose flour tortillas. It also came with a Jarritos drink too, you can choose which flavored drink you want from the fridge by the counter. My friend got a pupusa, and carne asada (beef) and chicken tacos. The carne asada was phenomenal. I was really surprised at the portion of beef that came with my plate, it was huge. Not only that, but it was flavored and seasoned so well. It was savory and tasty. The frijoles (beans) and arroz (rice) was good, and the veggies on the side tasted very fresh. I took a bite of my friend's beef taco too and it was great. Every bite from my dish was great, I loved it. The only thing was that I wish the sides were a little bigger in proportion to the carne asada. For me, the sides are just as important as the protein. So I wish they gave a little more to balance out the whole dish. Other than that, I liked what I ordered. I'd come back for the carne asada and ice cream.

I told the person at the front that I just need a table for 1, and she said the wait would be about 10 minutes. Thankfully though, I only had to wait 2 minutes and 12 seconds. The booth area I was seated it wasn't dirty or damaged, and it had a very classy look to it. I ordered the "Reese's Peanut Butter & Nutella French Toast", which comes with 2 eggs (I ordered sunny-side up) and sausage (I went with turkey sausage). The food took 17 minutes and 50 seconds to arrive. I note how long it took for transparency purposes only (I had a book with me to read, so I didn't mind the wait). After ordering, I did use the men's bathroom, which is a single bathroom (thankfully, it was vacant). Its not a very big bathroom, but I didn't feel claustrophobic in it, and was well kept. Here's my thoughts on each part of the meal: The eggs were cooked well and tasty The sausages (it came with 2) were not dry and didn't taste like frozen brand named sausages from a grocery story The French toast was great. Very peanut butter-y flavor (which is what I was wanting), and the strawberries were vibrant and sweet. It came with syrup on the side, but honestly, the French toasted was great even without the syrup (though I did put the syrup on after I tasted the toast as is). Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and experience at the restaurant. Thanks to my server Kayla for being friendly, and thanks to Fisch (I hope I spelled your name right) for making a tasty meal. Now, I had mentioned to Kayla how I was interested in trying out the "American Dream Golden Pancake" meal at some future point, and after I had paid for the meal, a guy came to my table (I'm sorry, I didn't ask for your name) and not only inquired if I was satisfied with my meal but also offered me the "American Dream Golden Pancake" meal to take home for free. This was a highly unexpected goodwill offer which I took up. This meal also comes with 2 eggs (I chose scrambled) and sausage (I chose pork). Now, as with any meal you take to go, its not going to be as good as when you have it in the actual restaurant. Despite that however, I was able to reheat the meal good, and here's my thoughts on the items in the meal: The eggs were flavorful and not rubbery The sausage patty wasn't dry and was tasty The pancake was crispy (I toasted it in my oven), the strawberry and blueberry cremes were great. The strawberries and blueberries were sweet. Golden Yolk was a truly great spot to eat it, and if you're in the Cleveland, TN area, I'd highly recommend coming here. Update 2025-12-09: I came back to Golden Yolk for a lunch a little more than a week before my birthday. This time, my order was a Southwest Power Omelette with a side of Mixed Greens and Cinnamon Raisin Toast (I could've picked Sourdough or Wheat Berry). Everything was great, and since it was close to my birthday, I was given a free birthday biscuit topped with their Blueberry Dream Creme and whipped cream. I'd recommend coming here for birthdays.

It came with a huge flaky biscuit topped with a generous scoop of sausage and bacon gravy. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were seasoned really well, and the bacon was nice and crispy. My husband got the build-your-own omelet, and it was very well made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was lively and a little loud, but it fit the restaurant perfectly with its modern Southern vibe. Pricing was a little high, but nothing crazy in today's market. Will return!

Taylor was our server and she was PHENOMENAL. from making us feel welcome to making us never want to leave, she had the best personality. She was prompt and checked on us many times to ensure we were enjoying our time. We ordered a couple cocktails, the blackberry mule (something like that haha) was great. I had 2! for dinner we had the spinach dip and steak nachos from the appetizer sections. The balsamic glaze on the nachos was my favorite part, just the right amount of tangy with savory. Will absolutely be coming back for those again! This is a beautiful restaurant, from the entrance to the clean and neat bathrooms. Will 100% be back.

My wife and I tend to share an appetizer and a main most times when we dine out. We started out with the stuffed piquillo peppers and they did not disappoint! If you are a fan of goat cheese you will love these too. The sweetness of the pepper with the tang of balsamic coupled with the smooth taste of the goat cheese is almost to die for! We then shared the Pimento burger with fries and those too were outstanding! The burger is not overwhelmingly big, but big enough for two to share. The fries were absolutely delish! The service was good as well. I don't remember anything over-the-top outstanding but these days, decent service might actually qualify as over-the-top relative to what you see at most establishments! (so sad) Definitely worth a try if you are in the Chattanooga area.

It was an excellent portion of tasty shrimp, steak and chicken and had a good serving of toppings also. My daughter enjoyed the Low Carb Burrito and my husband really liked his Burrito Supremo (one beef and one chicken). The soft drinks were very large and the house hot sauce that my daughter requested was hot and spicy, and good. There were also other sauce options in the table. The salsa and chips were average, but meal was surprisingly really good. My husband wanted to return today (July 2) and try the lunch specials, since our first visit was on a Saturday and specials are only M-F. The service was again excellent (Jonathan) but the food was disappointing. We both got lunch special #1 because we enjoy Chile Rellenos, but they tasted "old" and the peppers were thin and tough. The taco shell also did not taste very good. I will get the Mexico Lindo Quesadilla again if we return. They have Tuesday night Karaoke, so we may try that sometime in the future. They also have taco specials on Tuesdays 6-9 pm. The decor is nice and they have authentic Spanish music playing.
