My husband ordered a house salad with grilled chicken. He said it was fresh and crispy. I ordered a French dip with steak fries which I shared with Lucy. It came out hot and ready to enjoy. The burrito despite being in a jalapeno cheddar tortilla wasn't spicy at all. I also found it was better to eat with your hands rather than with utensils. Overall, my breakfast was very savory and filling. I did learn upon receiving my check that if you opt to pay with a credit card (forgot to ask about debit cards), there's a 3.5% charge added to your total. Meaning its better to bring cash to this restaurant (which thankfully I had). I didn't notice a sign or anything at the front mentioning this, and if there isn't, I think they really should have one. Last 2 things I'll mention is that there is guest wi-fi here, and if you come to this restaurant on the day of your birthday (and you have ID to prove it's the day of your birthday), you'll get $13 off your meal. Hit or miss. Sometimes it's excellent but several times a few months ago it was just not right. It seems like lately the bread has gotten smaller and the meat portions have decreased. They also removed the main sandwich I would order and won't offer to make it anymore. I have tried several other locations and they all seem different. Not consistent in my opinion. When they are good they are great but lately their food portions have shrunk and their consistency is just not good enough. I have a hard time eating out anywhere anymore and eat at home most of the time due to lack of customer service and lower quality of food. read more

This review only refers to the location at 2661 APD 40 only in South Cleveland which I've eaten at twice this month and noticed a consistent change from their past sandwiches and an obvious difference between their sandwiches and sandwiches from the other locations. I always order the exact same sandwich and recently the South Clev location has made smaller sandwiches in length, with less slices of meat and cheese per sandwich. I inquired about this change when speaking with other customers recently (not staff or staff's family), and apparently it is due to the owner's new directions regarding sandwich preparation. Each location is franchised by separate owners so this explains the negative changes to this specific Subway. All the other locations I've visited this month have been the normal size with normal ingredient amounts. Their service and staff are still excellent at ALL locations including South Clev, and I haven't asked any of the staff about this change bc it's not any reflection of their service. Just keep an eye open, and let me know if anyone has noticed this as well.

Cashier contined to have a bad attitude saying "there's only 2 of us here". After waiting for 30 mins just to place an order, the cashier asked me what I ordered. I explained, I hadn't ordered yet and that I was standing in line to try to place an order, like everyone else had done. The cashier told me she didn't have time to take my order, told me there's only 2 of them here working and she didn't have time for me and walked off into the kitchen. This is absolutely horrible service and disappointing that staff are allowed to conduct business this way and treat customers. If this is any representation of how this business is run, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am a local. This is unacceptable for any type of business to be run and for any employee to be allowed to treat customers.
