My sandwich was good, just not the first impression of the chick who made it. I'm from a metropolitan area and I am typically use to great hospitality and workers conducting small talk with me, it's much appreciated. But this is not why I'm writing this review, it's the complete opposite.
A blonde girl who I'd assume would be nice, she looked approachable at least, looked like she hated her life and her job especially. She told me right away "What do you want" in a very snarky attitude. I assumed it was an accident and I thought of giving her the benefit of the doubt but she ruined it seconds later. I told her a 6 inch italian bread "please" and she straight up said "um no" but did it anyway because it's her job. I don't know if she was joking or not but I didn't see it as a joke nor did she apologize for doing it. I also told her Italian BMT with American cheese...she almost forgot the cheese and when I reminded her that she forgot it she gave me a dirty look. Then afterwards she said "You wanted toasted yes or no" impatiently. I had so much patience with her it was absolutely terrible, you would think a customer would be giving workers a hard time but this is the complete opposite. Right when my sandwich came out of the toaster she just threw it onto the counter like a piece of trash and didn't even politely ask me what I would like on my sandwich. Man the frustration I endured was so bad but I didn't show it. When I paid the machine said to insert a chip because my card has one but I guess you had to allow it on the register first, I'm not sure, but here again she said with her bad attitude "Really? You had to have a card with a chip now I have to do all this work." It's your job I don't understand what is with all the bad customer service, she looks like a teenager who her mom forced to get a job.
This is by far the WORST experience I've ever had at a Subway. I would think because I live in the city people would be more frustrated here because of all the customers and fast paced but they aren't. This Subway in this Walmart is a place I will NEVER come back to. I visit Cheboygan county twice a year to visit my grandparents and I never knew there would be rude workers like this girl. I hope people do read my review because this gave off a bad impression of this Subway especially to someone who does not reside there. If you want a good, quality subway sandwich made by a loving, respectful sandwich maker in a Walmart Subway, I suggest you go to the Petoskey Walmart and go to their Subway they are a lot nicer and hardworking.
I would rate this employee negative stars if I could. At least she made a "decent" sandwich. I wish I knew her name so I could be more specific but sadly she wasn't wearing a name tag nor her name was on the receipt. Where was the manager when this occured? I assume no where because it was just two kids working or should I say socializing. I can see why this Subway was dead empty. Good one Cheboygan Walmart Subway! read more
