I came by here to pick up my free birthday cookie, and noticed they started offering some kind of snack wrap item on the menu called "protein pockets." I love snack wraps, and decided to try one. I know it's "fast food," but good lord where is the standard for service? I'm so happy I wasted time on my lunch break for the two employees (a large woman and a man with neck tattoos, in case any manager actually cares and reads this) to 1. not acknowledge me as I entered, or the person who entered as I left; 2. ignore me while I stood ready to order for 5 minutes -- literally ignore me. If you're busy making another sandwich for another guest, USE YOUR WORDS. LOOK UP. DO LITERALLY ANYTHING that an average food service worker is trained to do at every single establishment that is customer-facing. I had to leave without being served because as someone with a limited amount of time to take a lunch break, I simply do not have time to put up with such BS. Not to mention, the place was a mess. If I was the manager, and I witnessed this behavior from these employees, and the fact that one walked all over crumbs and trash to refill their personal drink at the soda station instead of cleaning it up, I'd be seriously disappointed. My sandwich was mostly fine, though it was messily made and more than half spinach. However, the service was not great. Immediately upon walking into the store I could tell they did not want me to be there, which isn't a great vibe when you're looking to buy something. The woman taking my order was very terse and two times asked me a question while facing a different direction so I couldn't hear her and I had to ask her to repeat. Absolute worst Subway. The girl that was working was a total mess saying her sister is the manager and when I got home I noticed I had 2 charges on my card. I purchased sandwiches on line and when I got to the store I added a coke and 2 cookies and paid with a $20 bill. Chelsea told me that the second charge was for the cookies and coke. The workers at the subway on Chandler and Kyrene do not pack the ingredients into the bun and fold it. They just leave it open and the sauce and wetness of the sandwich just gets all over the paper very messy when I got it home. I was even making movements with my hand to indicate to them to fold the sandwich better, but they commented that it was very full and could not be folded. Look at all that stuff in there, they said. You can't fold that. Funny, but the other three subways I went to all were able to pack the ingredients into the very same sandwich with their knife and fold it over and wrap it tightly into the paper. REDESIGN and now OPEN- Wooohooo the wait is over! They have re-opened and their redesign is awesome! Very modern and the "line" as their friendly staff like to call it, love it! I do too- the windows, glass or shield whatever you want to call it folds down over the food when it's not in use- I think that's spectacular. This location didn't have that option before. I'll never order through the app again unless I am at the restaurant. I always order deluxe upgrade to my sandwich, and they almost never include it. Again tonight the same problem. Plus this idiot couldn't even read. I asked for lite ranch dressing, and it was soggy because there was so much ranch, and he forgot the chipotle sauce altogether. Listen, it's Subway, I get it! The food is what it is, BUT the customer service here is quite lax! The staff is minimally friendly and never in a rush to hustle a long line through (even if a person is free, they stand there looking on in amazement while others do the work, or hide in the back). I'm not a fan of Subway, but they have some healthier choices for kids than other fast food places. This Subway is very efficient and handles their line quickly. The tables were kept pretty clean even at lunchtime. It is odd that you have to ask for napkins. I prefer to be able to just get my napkins when getting my beverages. I am sure they go through less napkins, but if they are that worried about cost control... they should not order imprinted napkins. I would return if I was in the area with my daughter and in a rush. Otherwise, I think 24 Carrots next door is a better choice for me. read more

This Subway is awesome. We go here quite often since it is down the street from our church, and we have never had an issue. Also, this is the only location that I have ever saw the seafood sensation sub. Which is kinda sad because I absolutely love it! They are always fast and accurate at making the food and friendly. Stopped in for a quick lunch. I only had 20 minutes and was in and out in 15. There was enough customers to say it was busy and the staff was great about getting everyone through the line quick.
