I work near this Subway in Castle Pines. It has consistently been going downhill for the past year. I know finding any kind of help in Douglas County is difficult for most retail shops however this Subway truly "needs" employees that care. I stop in, giving them the benefit of the doubt, unlike my coworkers who refuse to go there any longer. Tonight may be my last time. The store was not busy at all, one single customer ahead of me, store empty. The place, as the previous visit a week ago, looked like a complete mess. Bread sitting out, vegetables not replenished. One young man working from what I experienced. I decided to order anyway, it's convenient for me .... when we got down to selecting vegetables all the tomatoes were gone except small "ends" laying at the bottom. I asked him if they have more tomatoes in the back (mind you dinner hour is about to start) ... he answered "No". I could not proceed; I told him I won't be taking the sandwhich and walked out. I feel bad for the store owner and I wish they could find quality help that "wants" to work and takes pride in their job. read more

Have tried multiple times to order on the Subway app only to find out when I get to the store that they don't actually have what we have ordered. There is apparently no way for them to refund to our credit card so you end up with a hand full of Nickels and pennies . There seems to be no way to actually get this feedback to the powers to be. First of all I must say I LOVE Subway! This review is more about hours available as their sandwiches have always been good. We were there twice in five days and they were closed, one was about 3 on a Saturday afternoon and the other at 5 on a Wednesday evening. I stopped by here on my way home from work today. I ordered a foot long tuna with various veggie toppings. Sandwich was good and consistent. I like the consistency of Subway. However, the dining room was filthy. Tables needed to be cleaned. I had to clean off the table and booth I sat at. It looked like someone threw bread crumbs all over it. The dining floor needed to be swept as well. The young man waiting on me was okay. He seemed half asleep and only interested in throwing my sandwich together as fast as humanly possible. No other customers were in the store. A female employee was leaving as I sat at a table to eat. She looked at me and grinned on the way out. Wish she had looked at the tables and the floor on the way. Perhaps she would've been frowning instead. No excuse for the filthy conditions of this location. I probably won't return here. Came here and ordered a sandwich on 4/9/20, during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was wearing a mask as a precaution and saw that the worker had a bandana/mask around her neck, however she began making my sandwich without wearing it around her face. The whole time she was making my sandwich and asking me what I want on it, she was not wearing the mask. I have visited many Subway locations throughout the Denver area, but none worse than store number 23742 in Castle Pines, CO. While the teenage employees are generally nice, they cannot make up for this poorly run and managed location. It's really hard to believe that any business can be run so poorly and still stay in business. For example, my wife and I enjoy their meatball sandwiches. Between 25 and 30 percent of the time, they're out of meatballs by 5:00 PM. Okay, maybe Castle Pines is crazy about meatballs. Can someone with some intelligence make adjustments? Evidently not. Last Wednesday, on the way home from work, I stopped at the Castle Pines Subway. Just when I was about to order, I was told their Internet connection was down and that they could only accept cash. With 5 dollars in my pocket, it was frozen pizza at home. Tonight, again on my way home from work, I thought I might get lucky this time. No such luck. I'm not kidding about this... I walked in and the young lady behind the counter told me "I'm sorry, we're out of turkey, and roast beef, and the meats for the cold cut combo." My order this evening was going to be a turkey sub and a cold cut combo. On top of that, they had only two breads, wheat and Italian. The manager here is a teenaged kid. I suspect he's not in charge of ordering product. It's obvious the owner of this franchise is not concerned about how it's operated or the satisfaction of his customers. This Subway location needs a new owner. Unless I'm desperate, I will not support this Subway with my money. There are other Subways in Castle Rock that I'll drive a bit out of my way to patronize. read more

The gal who made my sandwich was going to use a dirty knife to cut my sandwich. I had to ask her to clean the knife first. She barely put spinach on my sandwich. This Subway is filthy and it makes me feel that all Subways are filthy. My son worked at this location briefly. The turnover rate is high because they don't train the staff well, overwork the staff and don't higher a professional cleaning service. Food is not handled properly either. The kitchen in filthy too. I came in twice after closing, without pay, to clean up the place; scrub floors, counters, clean out the kitchen, tables, bathroom, etc. It is just too filthy. I called upper management and voiced my genuine concerns. Nothing changed, the owner doesn't care. This tall blonde boy that worked there was very nice. He made sure everything looked good every step of the way. My sandwich was fantastic and he was such a hard worker, I told him the bathroom was dirty- and he went out of his way to clean it. There have been very few times in my life where I felt completely disappointed in my food. Sadly, when I ate at this subway it was one of those times. First, the drink machine was broken so I had to get a drink from the refrigerator. That is unacceptable I should be able to get a drink from wherever I want. Second, I am 90% sure that the blonde kid was high as a kite. Employees should never be high while they work, that is common knowledge. Third, they were out of eggs. Why is a sandwich place out of eggs! Lastly, they never cut my sandwich in half. That should be standard and I should never have to ask for them to cut my sandwich.
