Outstanding food and service... staff was amazing. Came to Denver area for a wedding from Massachusetts and stopped at this deli for breakfast. Food was phenomenal. Service made it even better. If you like it fresh, you'll love Heidi's Brooklyn Deli. Bread and bagels freshly made. Cannolis (yep, had to have one after my breakfast) was the best I have ever had... and in Boston, we have "world famous" cannolis in the North End... that don't even come close to the deliciousness you will find at Heidi's. Needless to say, we will be in the area for 3 days and will return tomorrow for more. We would also go on Sunday but they are closed. By the way, thanks for the free loaf of freshly made bread. It came very handy during our hike of Garden Of The Gods trails. Yep.. one day later, we returned. Left with 4 cannolis this morning. And the Chicken Salad sandwich was so good!! read more

Wow. That was painful. In the short time I was there I witnessed them mess up three people's orders, not including ours. When we first arrived, they made us wait for a full 10 minutes before even taking our order. While waiting, I was watching the employees make the sandwiches, and staring at the orders like they were written in a different language. It was taking them a full 10 minutes to complete one sandwich order at a time and the line was getting frustrated. All the poor guy wanted in front of us was mayo and mustard on his sandwich and they had to remake it twice! Once we ordered, I asked for avocado on my sandwich and she informed me that it would be a three dollar up charge so I agreed. My husband ordered a sandwich that was $18, and when he received it not only was there hardly any meat on it, but the meat that was on it was mostly fat and he proceeded to pull a very long female hair out of the middle of his sandwich. Then when I opened my sandwich, there wasn't any avocado on it at all. Yet she had still charged me. When I showed the hair to the employee, she asked me if I wanted her to remake the sandwich and I refused because I had already waited for a full 30 minutes. I had to request a refund on my sandwich (which she tried to nickel and dime me on, and wasn't about to give me the $3 back for the avocado) and my husband left hungry. Didn't look at reviews but read the history of Heidi's and wow I should have read the reviews. I basically had a bland Italian coldcut sandwich which I could have made better at home! Where is the Brooklyn Deli part of this? The side of potato salad was watery and flavorless, the basic chips or upgrade for Miss Vickie's premium chips. Paid $23 for a basic turkey sandwich and chips. Assumed that I would get to choose from the chips behind the counter which were Vickie's and Sun Chips but was given a tiny bag of plain lays and was told that the other chips were an upgrade. What a sad meal. read more

This place is very good. The food is solid and the staff is friendly. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the wait. I come here often and it usually takes at least 15 minutes and as long as 30-40 to get one sandwich. I've actually walked out when the line is long cause I know how slow It can be. We had high expectations as friends told us about this place, so we took the drive and ordered the specials, hot pastrami and Julianna's favorite. Sandwiches are quite pricey at $34 for 2. Food came quickly and was okay, but not great. Small, not overly filled with meat and flavorful, but overpriced for what you get. We also wanted to try to potato salad, so that's what we ordered, but they just threw Cole slaw in our bags and said nothing, only to find out they were out of potato salad, yet said nothing. The Cole slaw was inedible, actually tasting like it had gone bad. Soda machine wasn't working, they were out of cookies, which was their offer if you downloaded their app. Not a great impression. Overall, it's a decent sandwich place, just not great. Having lived in NYC for years, this doesn't come close. Local favorite...cool, but not worth passing up others to get here. read more

I was completely disappointed with every aspect of our visit. Most importantly the poor food quality. I ordered a hoagie roll style bread for my sandwich and that's about all I got--A BIG BREAD SANDWICH. But that wasn't enough for this place-- the bread was stale. So I opened up the bread pieces to scoop out and eat the egg salad and voila, and the portion was two tablespoons of egg salad was all it had. Finally, the egg salad was dry and simply not appetizing. So I packed up my crappy sandwich ( I mean, BREAD) in the paper bag and went up to the counter guy and told him all the bread was stale. Surprising, he AGREED with me saying he knew it was but made no apology for not checking it for freshness. Yet he was the one that made the sandwich. Dont you think someone in the business would feel the extra hardness beforehand? As we were to leave, he said, can I make it up to you with a dessert? I"m sure that's crappy too. Wow, this is an eatery that I suggest you stay away from. Bad sandwiches for $14.00. Been a customer for years, but the hair in my food yesterday, the potatoes being so hard I had to spit them out and the turkey in my sandwich having black spots sent me over the edge! Stopped for take out mid afternoon after a procedure at Sky Ridge hospital. Menu is expansive - smoothies, salads, sandwiches. Probably something for everyone in your party. Got a sandwich and a wrap each with a bag of chips. It was fine. Just about what we expected. So disappointing after loving this place. I used to crave Heidi's in Lone Tree when I lived in Greenwood Village. I moved to Littleton and made the drive down to Heidi's last week. What a disappointment. The amount of meat on the club sandwich was like broken pieces of turkey, ham and roast beef. It was not slices, it was like left over lunch meat. For the price they charge and the fact that the sandwich was mostly bread for $14, I won't go back. And come on, to charge $1.49 for 1 slice of cheese is robbery. Sandwich was as good as i remember. I got the heidi's combo which was a half sandwich and choice of soup or salad. I got bay ridge bomber with the chicken poblano soup. Oh my goodness, the soup was delicious and the half sandwich could have been saved for a second meal. My friend got the salmon melt. Thats his favorite sandwich. Another reason we had to go there. Love the Heidi's downtown on 17th so was craving it now that I work from home. Ordered a veggie sandwich for pick up with the only mod being no tomato, but I didn't get any avocado or onion either. Just bread, cream cheese, lettuce, sprouts and cucumber. I ordered an extra potato salad (and paid extra) which wasn't included either. I couldn't find an email receipt so I just let it go. However my $18 sandwich lunch seems kind of sad now. Upon walking in the guy up front made eye contact but then ignored me and kept going through something with his co-worker. Went for the first time today and probably won't go back. They left off 3 things that I asked for on my sandwich and put something else on that I asked them to leave off. My experience has always been to-go, and I've stuck with the basics - chicken salad sandwich, turkey sandwich, etc. I don't get the 1-star reviews. This place does the basics really well. First, the bread is good. It's thick, they have plenty of options, and it's fresh. The meat and sauces on the sandwich are solid, but nothing out of this world. I can also speak to the cannoli, which are very tasty. Be sure to read all the signs around the restaurant. There are a lot of soups and other misc. items not on the main board.
