So last night I order a full meal with a yogurt and they literally leave out the large fry to a meal. So we go back this morning and my wife ordered her food on her app and I ordered mine. So they hand me the food and all I can see is my first wife's name on the order so I take it and go home only to arrive and realize they had given some other sherrys order for a white Chevy and I drive an Infiniti and she drives a Kia. So part of the order was for my granddaughters breakfast. So my wife goes back up there costing additional gas and time to correct the order and co texted The manager on the way to tell Him the issue. When arriving the customer service girl was rude and had the audacity to ask if we had paid for the replacement food. So I'm not sure what is going on at this location but your customer service and attitudes of your associates is pathetic. In my opinion it starts with leadership and what you allow or train and this location has become a joke. If I ad the owner operator I would be embarrassed to provide subpar service and the continued mistakes are even more concerning. With as many people as you have standing at the doors, which one of those people are assigned to do quality checks or to actually look at the order to verify what's going out and can your Customer Service reps that come out to the car, not read a tag that says white Chevy when somebody's in a silverI. Man Guthrie's is just limping along. People that compare this place to Zaxby's or Canes ain't from…read morearound here. Guthrie's is the OG chicken finger spot that the other two stole from. There would not be a Zaxby's or a Canes if Guthrie's hadn't started it all. Period. Fingers, sauce....all Guthrie's. The other two just have better marketing. That's what's sad. I mean Zaxby's is having a major identity crisis. THIS spot does what it does and hasn't tried to be anything else. I have been coming to Guthrie's since I was a student at UGA (class of 91) . THIS Guthrie's fits the mold of any of the locations left. Hard to find and empty. I just don't understand why this place isn't as busy as the other two because the food is awesome!! My family got chicken (yes..they USE to serve fried chicken) at least once a week. DELICIOUS!!! Then, as I got older, driving. Etc..it was my go too. Reasonable b'fast/lunch prices. Lived near a DQ in all but 1 of the 8 places I've lived. Then...Went to this one. Just as pleased as any others. Prompt, "semi-fast....but VERY fresh food." We've never had left over fries or O Rings. Burgers cooked on/too order. Lots of young people there. SUCH nice staff. (Not a group of crotchety old, broken down, entitled 30/40 y/o's!) Very friendly, and SINCERE.....not because they're being paid. ALWAYS CLEANING , inside & out. If there's a slow min...someone is cleaning the pathing lot, picking up SORRY "adults" trash, Same inside. Supposedly "adults" leave the NASTIEST tables. Trash on the floors. But one of the young people cleans it as soon as the swine leave. Sadly, many do this with their kids with them, NOT CARING, and the children aren't shocked, so you can imagine what they live in. This is a VEEEEERY regular go-to place for us. Work, . Family, and youth group, as well as Rec, Dept kids. The staff...even with mostly young people are ALWAYS efficient, in the almost 5 years..I've never received an order wrong there. The worker told us that they already closed the kitchen due to being slow. I understand wanting to get home after a long shift, trust me I do. But as someone who has experience in food service, my previous employers would've had my a** if I closed even 10 minutes early and turned away customers in return. I'd also like to highlight the other time we visited this location. It was about 8pm and everything was great! But once we got to the door we realized they had been locked and an employee told us that they locked the door because they "didn't want anyone else coming in"... So I don't write this review to get anyone in trouble, but it has now been more than once that this Newk's location has had issues with having customers coming in late (before they even close). I hope this issue can improve and employees can learn the importance of their customers no matter the time.
