Step inside and you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the kind of friendly faces that make you feel right at home. Then comes the food--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. My husband sticks to the classics (and loves every bite), while I always look forward to whatever creative seasonal dishes Andy and Amber come up with. Fall is my favorite time because I have to get the butternut squash pasta--it's that good. It's always great to see POPS busy, even during the week. It just adds to the energy of downtown and makes you appreciate having such a gem in the community. We truly hope POPS becomes a longtime staple here in Canton--places like this deserve it. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.

The bacon was cooked well, thick enough, and plentiful enough (they didn't skimp). The tomato and lettuce were fresh. And because I love it, I asked for a slice of yellow american cheese to be added to it. The broccoli salad was also delicious. Not too heavy with mayo and bacon (like some make) so it still felt light while being delicious. The brownie bite was great. Wish it was bigger than a bite, but hey, it was thrown into the half/half combo as a part of it and was a nice lunch ender.

We have come in twice now, and food is actually really good…read more However, today we walked in a little after 8:30pm and were turned away even though they close at 9pm. The worker told us that they already closed the kitchen due to being slow. I understand wanting to get home after a long shift, trust me I do. But as someone who has experience in food service, my previous employers would've had my a** if I closed even 10 minutes early and turned away customers in return. I'd also like to highlight the other time we visited this location. It was about 8pm and everything was great! But once we got to the door we realized they had been locked and an employee told us that they locked the door because they "didn't want anyone else coming in"... So I don't write this review to get anyone in trouble, but it has now been more than once that this Newk's location has had issues with having customers coming in late (before they even close). I hope this issue can improve and employees can learn the importance of their customers no matter the time.

I arrived at approximately 6:45 p.m. and called the store because I was unfamiliar with the curbside pickup process and wanted to make sure I was parked in the correct location. After explaining exactly where I was parked, the customer service representative assured me I was in the correct spot and told me someone would be outside shortly with my groceries. After waiting more than 10 minutes, no one arrived. I called the store a second time and was then informed that I had been parked in the wrong location the entire time. The delay was caused solely by the inaccurate information provided by your employee. When an employee finally came outside, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, I was treated with aggression, disrespect, and hostility. I was threatened with having the police called on me even though I was simply trying to receive the groceries I had already paid for. The employee handled my groceries in a careless and reckless manner by throwing them into my vehicle. Their actions appeared to show a complete disregard for my property, attempted to damage my vehicle through their reckless conduct. No customer should ever be treated in such an intimidating and disrespectful manner. What should have been a simple curbside pickup became a hostile and humiliating experience because of your employees' conduct. As a first-time customer, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism, the poor communication, and the unacceptable treatment I received. Please do not patronize this location especially if you are African American.

Some deals can be found by looking form the bright sale tags. Organic and local foods are also marked with a tag. They also offer a rewards program for their gas that is similar to other competitors. If I had one knock on the place it would be overall cleanliness. The carts and the aisles could stand to be cleaned more often. I had help from customer service on my most recent visit and they were fantastic. I will definitely be coming back. Bring your own bags.

The reason I say almost is the only reason I had to take off a star. Our last experience at the deli, yesterday, was delicious BUT super slow. We've both worked food service before and understand what happens when there's so many orders and so little staff. But a lot of the reason it took 35-40 minutes total for us to receive 1 sub and 1 wrap was because the gentleman making our food had to leave the station at the request of every single ingredient to restock because the stations were next to empty (onions, lettuce, cheese, etc.) and had little to no urgency when doing so. Maybe a rough day, I get it. We're all human here. What I don't really get is the lack of support for him.
