I really didn't enjoy my sandwich at all! Tasted like frozen chicken. Wouldn't come back.

I probably would've given them a 4 star if it wasn't for the interaction we had with the person working that day. We saw this place riding by looking for something to eat. We came in on a Saturday night around 7 I believe. I think they close at 8 so maybe that was the reason for the weird interaction. I don't know. Empty inside besides one other couple eating. Initially, we come in and the greeting was.....cordial. We gave him our order and there was a weird pause. We gave several thank yous and pleasantries so I'm not sure what was going on there. After a few minutes our order was ready. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap with chips and the Beef Cheesesteak hoagie. The Caesar wrap was fine. Nothing special. The mister asked for lettuce and tomato for the hoagie and that's when another weird interaction happened like the server was wondering why he didn't say that initially. Anyway, cheesesteak had no seasoning on the beef and the bread was harder than he'd like. I think the server noticed the tension and tried to spark up a conversation and brought out some packaged grape tomatoes as a peace offering. weird again. read more

The service was friendly and efficient. Although this was my first time eating here it will not be my last as this deli is several steps above the usual deli sandwich chains. Stopped by this spot on Friday afternoon to get my mom a Philly cheesesteak. She is very picky about her food so I knew if she like this sandwich it must be good. I had my doubts at first about this place. The way the sandwiches are assembled didn't look like anything fancy going on but mom says it was a great sandwich so yay. Hoagie Bros knows how to make a good sandwich, so much so that I have ventured in twice in the past week since discovering them! Hoagie Bros is a local sandwich shop, with this being it's sole location. It is situated in in the Kroger shopping center on Canton Road and sits right in the middle of the complex in between Mr. Wonton and Anytime Fitness. Given their location in the complex, parking is never an issue! In my two trips, I have made sure to begin my sampling of the menu. My first visit I scooped up a meatball sub and some chips. The bread was super soft, the meatballs were tender, well seasoned and well sauced. The bread held up remarkably well given the amount of sauce on put on it. In addition, they topped it off with some nice parm to bring it all together. It was a good meatball sub...I mean, I could have used an extra meatball or two to balance out the bread/meatball ratio...but that is just me being a meatball hog. My second trip I decided to get another signature sub, the Chicken Cheesesteak. Even though it was a pressed sandwich, the bread was still super soft on the inside and perfectly toasted on the outside. Inside was the grilled chicken, cheese, onions and mushrooms. I got this one sided with fries, again for the sake of sampling the menu! The fries come in salt or Cajun, I am a purest for the most part for fries, so I just got salt. The fries were fried well and were a good amount as a side. The chicken cheesesteak was decent, but I will say it seemed dry. I am not sure how all the ingredients are prepared, but it could use a sauce or a little more oil in the preparation, or maybe additional melted cheese. The menu features hot hoagies, cold hoagies, signature hoagies and a build your own hoagie section, in addition to salads, children's, sides and drinks/desserts. Most of the sandwiches can be either 4" or 8", but the hot hoagies come in the standard 8" size only. And bread is standard Italian only. Prices for a 8" sandwich meal (side and drink) will run you, on average between $11 - $14. Take about $4 from that if you decide to get the 4". The ice cream is served by the scoop and ranges from $3 for a kids scoop to $6 for a double scoop. In addition, they have a hefty toppings list you can add to your scoops, and they even offer soda floats and lava cakes! This is of course in addition to those bomb cookies and brownies they got chilling by the register! I have quickly learned that while they serve us some solid sandwiches, people also return for the owner, Avi, who is an absolute gem and character! He is quick to welcome you in and welcome you back with a smile and his quick wit. He is a good dude slinging good sandwiches and tasty scoops! They also offer a loyalty program with a punch card that you can use to redeem for a free sammy down the road. Overall, Hoagie Bros is a solid spot that I will certainly be visiting frequently and sharing with all my fellow sandwich lovers! read more

The hoagies here are legit and if you live in East Cobb I doubt you can find a better hoagie on any metric. I've looked everywhere but only have had weak ones. In fact, I would recommend driving some distance to get these sandwiches if you want a delicious sub on homemade bread. They are uniquely fresh, flavorful, unique, and a good value. The Moroccan one was particularly yummy. For our family, this place is a classic and immediately added to the weekly rotation. I'm definitely a fan of the bread, with a nice crust and the perfect flexibility for a sub with lots of toppings. It is nice to know that everything is being done right by real chefs and quality ingredients. This place is located next to a Chinese restaurant I patron occasionally. What drew me in was the fact that they served boar's head meat. It's favorite brand of deli meat, which I've only been able to find in grocery stores. What I liked about this place is the customer service. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating! They cut the meat fresh to order. They had my favorite brand... ovengold turkey breast! I can't tell you how many places I get sandwiches from and the meat is pre-sliced. He also cut the vegetables for my sandwich fresh! What was unique was these fact that they placed a slice of meat on top of your sandwich. It was a neat way of holding all your toppings as you eat. I think they're offering ice cream now and while I wasn't in the mood for ice cream at the time, he did offer me a sample. I tried the chocolate and it reminded me of gelato. Very rich and creamy. Overall, I found it to be a cute place that I will patron again based on the customer service alone. A definite must try if you're ever close by. read more

The only thing good I can say about our experience is that the French fries were really good, but everything else was a poor experience. The employee who took our order said the combo deal included "any fountain drink or one bottled drink from the case". After getting a bottled drink from the case and opening it, the owner said that it was not included in the price and charge us separately for it. I explained that his employee stated that it was included with the combo. He rudely said "it's a free country, you can get what you want, but I have to charge you for it." He didn't even ask the employee if he said that it was included with the combo. I came here yesterday for the first time and it was great! The person who made my sandwiches was very nice and made great recommendations. I got the classic, which was like an Italian, but I asked him to put whatever topping he recommended. It tasted great! My wife got a custom hoagie with Boar's Head buffalo chicken deli meat and she liked it. He even busted out a fresh packet of ranch dressing for my picky wife. I also got a free cookie with the Yelp check-in offer and it was good. If I'm being honest, it was more brownie-ish in texture and kinda fluffy, but it still tasted good. I do like a more traditional cookie texture though. I noticed they sell ice cream and the server said they started just recently and they carry High Road ice cream! They're local and if you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it! This review is for Hoagie Bros though, so I digress. I forget what it's called, but they have this s'mores ice cream offering where they get a marshmallow wrapper and wrap up the ice cream concoction in it. That's right, you read correctly. Great spot that was hidden in plain sight to me. I had the chance to visit this space recently and did not know about the quality selections that are offered from a sandwich perspective. I must admit that I love a good hoagie and on the day that I pass through this establishment, I was feeling rather adventurous. So, with that in mind, I decided to try the Moroccan Hot Hoagie. This was a sandwich made with thinly-sliced chicken doused in Moroccan spices. It was so good and something like a flavor explosion in my mouth. So unexpected, yet so good! I will definitely try that again and it went nicely with a bag of plain potato chips. This was a quite a positive introduction to this establishment.
