I have seen this place once and decided to stop by. Went through the drive through. It was not busy. According to some of the reviews, one person said the popcorn chicken was a must! So I order that. I also ordered the triple delight which is chicken, beef and shrimp in a spicy garlic sauce. It does not come with rice so you have to add that for an additional 1$ or if you wanted lomein like I did. That is an additional 3$. It was made to order so I spent maybe 10 minutes for my order. It was hot and fresh. The popcorn chicken tasted like dark meat/ thigh meat. It was okay. Some of the pieces were hard. They have a sauce that comes with it but it was watery and sugary. I did not like it that much. But if you hungry, you will eat it haha. The main dish was good. Hot, fresh and seasoned well. I wish it was more shrimp than chicken and beef. Such a wonderful experience with chicken wok the branding the way they packaged everything. It was just so classy and wonderful and really I was so surprised the lo mein the house. Lo mein is delicious the shrimp, beef and chicken all cooked perfectly. The vegetables were nice and crisp and the hot sour is a delicious soup. I love my Thai tea for 299. You really can't go wrong. It's still very Americanized Chinese food but the quality is definitely higher. I got genera tso my wife got sesame chicken and we got some plain noodles for the kids, and order of egg rolls to split wasn't crazy about the yami sauce, especially with it being a dollar but you live and learn! The rice doesn't need it considering you get extra sauce from your chicken. Everything was phenomenal. Today I tried the BBQ Pork (Char Siu) and the Veggie & Pork Egg Rolls--and wow, both were outstanding! The BBQ pork was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. It came with a homemade duck sauce that was actually really tasty, but honestly, the pork was so good on its own I barely needed it. Finding a good Chinese restaurant is difficult! We decided to try Chick'n Wok because it had the best rating on Yelp for places nearby. You can order at a tablet or with a person and then they bring the food to you. The ambiance is casual and the inside is very clean. The prices definitely seemed reasonable for the portion size, although we all found it kind of weird that rice doesn't just come with the stir-fries. I got the crab rangoon which were very yummy and you get 5 for $6 which is amazing, and I ordered the tofu and veggies with white rice. There was a good amount of tofu and lots of veggies. The sauce tasted good and wasn't too salty. My friend said her beef with broccoli was delicious, although my other friend said the chicken fried rice was very salty. My only complaint is having to eat with a plastic fork. I can appreciate receiving the food in a to go container since I did take some home, but I really hate plastic utensils. Their take-home bags are customized and honestly adorable -- like, they really put effort into the branding and it shows. I love little touches like that. The system inside the restaurant is set up so nicely. You can place your order at a kiosk if you want to be in and out, or you can go to a real person if you prefer. Either way, it's smooth, organized, and makes the whole experience easy. Now the food -- yes, it's still very Americanized Chinese food, but the quality is definitely a level up from your regular takeout spots. I got the General Tso's and it was fresh, flavorful, crispy, and not drowned in sauce. You can tell they actually care about how the food comes out. The menu had a variety of Asian inspired dishes from Thai influenced to Chinese to Indian. A huge variety of choices. I ordered Panang curry- chicken, hot and sour soup, edamame, and crab rangoons. All of them were crafted with care. My biggest hoorah goes to the take out packaging... the pride that went into the bag and the boxes was so thoughtful. We are from the other side of town and decided to try this place based off of the great reviews and they did not disappoint! The restaurant is very quaint and clean. We ordered off the kiosk. We had steamed dumplings, sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, salt & pepper grouper and crab rangoon. The manager came to our table to let us know the dumplings took around 15 minutes to steam fresh which was very conscientious of him. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The grouper was perfect- very light batter and not greasy at all. You can tell the cooking oil they use is fresh and good quality. They have a nice selection of boba trees as well. I really enjoyed my first visit to this place, and feel it has a lot of potential! At first pass it looks like a regular "Asian-fusion" place, but consider 10 reasons to give this place a try: 1. Really nice Asian ownership: they were very open and welcoming; the owner came out and talked to us and was so personable. They have a connection to a Taiwanese-owned restaurant in Johns Creek. 2. A lot of heart & soul in the design: you can tell there's a lot of pride in the place. From the cute rooster signage to the takeout bags, everything had the logo & design on it. A very bright and cheerful vibe. 3. High tech ordering kiosks: they have a picture menu you can point & tap and order on, makes it easy and you can see what you're getting! 4. They have a drive-thru where you can order ahead and just swing by and pick up outside. 5. The cook is Malaysian and has yrs of experience; I'm actually hoping we can all patronize this place and ...convince him to offer the authentic stuff on a secret menu :P At least maybe do some "specials" or something!! They seem a little hesitant to go authentic as they're not sure if locals will like the flavors. 6. Mojitos: we got to try these and while these are NOT alcoholic, we discovered their "mojito" was handcrafted, and VERY refreshing. Hard to describe but you should try it, it's kind of a unique thing to the place. 7. Food: we got the spicy shrimp basil noodles and my medium spicy was quite spicy! The shrimp is moist and deveined. I'd say these dishes are pretty above average, perhaps a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 but the PRICE for quantity & quality is quite attractive. 8. House-made chili sauce: ok any place that makes their own hot sauce is legit. I like theirs; it's not overly spicy :) 9. Cute, modern seating and bar seating along the sides, well-lit atmosphere with lots of lights; great if you're a student who needs to plug in your laptop. I decided to try a "new to me" place on Cobb Pkwy because of the sign almost a mile away from it, they have sesame chicken for 8 bucks and also boba I am sold! I get there and the building is aesthetically pleasing as well as the warm welcome I got as I came in, in side you can dine in or you can order to go using the kiosk as you first walk in. I stuck to the plan and ordered the sesame chicken to go with rice 9 bucks score! What about the Food! Wow i can't believe i'm just finding out about this place. First off let me say the customer service is amazing, it is fantastic they are so nice and didn't get annoyed with my indecisiveness lol. They have so many options i couldn't choose. They have a drive thru!!!!! Very rare for asian cuisine but you don't even have to get out the car. I ordered sesame chicken with white rice extra crispy and beef broccoli with fried rice and neither disappointed. The sesame chicken was so Crispy and the beef broccoli was so delicious along with the fried rice and the white rice because it's sticky. They give you a good amount of beef to broccoli. They don't short you. Also, the Prices are amazing along with the portion sizes. Not sure why I never knew about this place, but this will be a new staple and I'm not gatekeeping lol definitely try it. All in all the owner is nice, the worker was nice, they are extremely fast (made both dishes in 5-6 minutes), they have a drive thru, the prices are amazing, the portion sizes are good. The honey chicken was overly battered and overly fried chicken with the sauce drizzled on top instead of being tossed in it.
