Teriyaki friend chicken rice was "fishy" & bland 0/0! They said you must ask for a side of teriyaki Nice young lady* assisted us with ordering Ambiance-we sat in front of the window to people watch- so exciting! Music should be changed -all that rap music is old news. Play some jazz or something-we exhausted over all that kinda* music. Three stars because we had a window seat, lady* was nice and my cousin liked her food-lucky her

DELICIOUS! I had the make your own Ramen bowl with Ramen noodles, Spicy Miso broth with Chicken, Garlin, green onion & Corn! My Fiancé had the Thai Curry Steak Fried Rice! The Ramen broth was SUPERB!!! I also had some of the chili sauce in as well! Fresh veggies & you can get as many as you want (meat is extra)! We also tried the fried wings, unfortunately those weren't made fresh. They were crunchy but a bit too salty for me! The Fiancés rice was really good! Nice and Fresh! He added additional veggies too! I'm considering returning right now, thinking about the ramen! It's a must try!!! I will definitely be returning! The young lady who assisted us, I didn't catch her name, but she was outstanding & gave us the scoop on the sauces to purchase! I'll definitely be back to try more options!

We tried Fried Rice Master for the first time on a Friday night. It was relatively busy with both takeout and dine-in guests. We placed our order on the digital screen. Between two separate orders, we ordered three appetizers, three fried rice entrees, and one noodle entree. Everything came out at once, except for one of the fried rice entrees, which came 5-8 minutes after the other food. The chicken wings were excellent, super crispy, hot and fresh, and good flavor. The vegetable dumplings were okay, an average appetizer. We also ordered sesame chicken to share and it was very good! I saw some reviews of it being more breading than chicken, but we did not have that same experience. I ordered the Kimchi Steak Fried Rice, which I thought was pretty good, but I do with it had more kimchi or a stronger kimchi flavor. Everyone else said their meals were enjoyable, and we all ended up taking home leftovers. The food did take a while to come out, but aside from that, we enjoyed our food and will definitely order from here again!

I recently went to Fried Master to try the fried rice and crispy wings. The young lady who took my order explained how everything worked and gave me a few recommendations. She was very patient and kind until I was ready to place my order. I ended up getting the create your own rice and an order of the crispy wings with the sweet Thai chili dipping sauce. Be sure to place your wing order first because they are cooked to order and will take longer than the rice. The wings were definitely the star of the night. They were seasoned very well and had a nice crunch on them. I will definitely be going back for more wings. I'll try the udon noodles next time. My only complaint is they charge extra for yum yum sauce. Imo at least 1 should come complimentary.

Think Chipotle but for fried rice and ramen. They have preset fried rice, ramen and udon noodle dishes OR you can customize your own. The service is friendly and the portions are HUGE! Reasonably priced ($10-13) considering there's easily 2-3 servings per dish. Everything was made to order and flavorful.

Happened to spot this place as we were running some errands and decided to stop in with no prior notion or review reading. Pleasantly surprised!! Kids both had stir fried udon noodles with teriyaki chicken and teriyaki sauce. They love it. My eldest selected some add ins - egg, corn, broccoli!! He said the chicken was nice. I went with brown rice and teriyaki chicken and Hawaiian sauce with pineapple as I was not in the mood for spice - spice is here though if you want. Added in bell pepper, green onion, white onion, broccoli and sprouts. Not gluten free - yet - they said this is something they will work on. Fresh clean atmosphere, 10 tables available if you'd like to eat in. Drinks in the bottle or can. Kids are planning to have their birthday here, haha! We'll be back!

Food is good, Reminds me of a chinese subway. A mixture of ramen and fried rice. You order on a kiosik, there is room to sit down. Enjoyed the food.

OKAY SO BOOM! Let's get into this review. For starters congratulations on the company as they are a new food spot, I think they opened early May. Be prepared to fight for parking as it's in a very busy shopping center (especially on the weekends) so finding parking it's hard but it's still worth it. SERVICE: 4/5... They have great customer service! The only reason why I'm not giving a full 5/5 is because I personally didn't get much assistance from them because I kinda figured out how to order the food on my own but I did watch how the employees helped and assisted other customers. Very nice, helpful and friendly. ATMOSPHERE: 5/5.... The place is so cute, I love the coziness of it.It's clean, the music was a vibe, the art work was beautiful, the workers were a vibe. FOOD: 5/5... THIS IS HANDS DOWN SOME OF THE BEST FRIED RICE IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!!! When it comes to ordering the food you can either order on the tablet or order chipotle style (where you pick out your ingredients) The tablet was pretty self explanatory but if questions do arise they're willing to help! l ordered CUSTOM FRIED RICE: WHITE RICE, CARROTS, PEAS, BROCCOLI, CORN, BEAN SPOURTS, AND STEAK as well as UDON WITH DOUBLE TERIYAKI CHICKEN AND SHRIMP, BROCCOLI AND CORN. Everything is cooked to order so when it the table it was hot and fresh. AND THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON THE PORTION SIZES. ALL FOR THE COST OF $35 My only complaint is the drink choices... now i was basic and got a regular soda but the only options to choose from was Coke and Coke zero, me personally I would have like some more variety, but like I said before they are a new restaurant so they get a pass on that. PLEASE GO HERE GUYS ITS SO FREAKING WORTH IT!!!

Four different fried rice meals, wings & spring rolls
    Kim T.

My kids I loved the idea of building your own rice bowl. My kids got over four different meals. Client service was awesome. Once the food arrived (it was a 5 min drive) it was extremely hot which was perfect and the food looked very good, clean and presentable however it was awful :(. We tried four different combos, wings and spring rolls. Everything was terrible with the exception of the spring rolls. No flavor and the rice tasted soggy (I'm use to ordering fried rice To-Go from other food chains and this wasn't right). The wings tasted like plastic OMG horrible. The only item we enjoyed was the spring rolls unfortunately. We might try them out again because the client service was great but not anytime soon.

I ordered Teriyaki fried rice, Pad Thai, both with shrimp and one order of coconut soup. The staff was very nice and efficient. My order, to go, was ready in 10 minutes. My Pad Thai was disappointing. It didn't look like traditional Pad Thai. It was missing scrambled egg, chopped nuts and green onions. No sauce to season it. Only a few shrimp. My husband's fried rice was not as flavored either. I'm hoping the coconut soup is good. I will eat it today. Will we never have good Asian restaurants again? Penang has closed. Prices are higher, product is not up to par. Very disappointed. Just has the coconut soup. It has more of a vinegar taste than coconut. Not too bad though.

I had the Coconut soup which was amazing. A MUST to get. Then ordered the Chinatown Lo Mein. A good portion for the cost but a bit on the bland side. Had to ask for a side sauce to perk it up. Flavor was good and cooked well. I only wanted water to drink. They have these small glasses you fill yourself. They really need to b bigger it's about 4 sips. By the time we left at 8p the place had a line from the door to the cash register. It was good I'd eat here again.

I don't know if I've ever left or felt the need to leave a yelp review before, but man.... having…read moreeaten at this establishment and the location in Lawrenceville for a long time, the changes instituted with the new year have been a pretty big letdown. I don't know if Asian Express has new owners or what, but I truly hope that the owners take reviews like this and any possible dip in business to heart and see the error of their ways. Firstly, they got rid of their sushi. it was cheap, but good and I enjoyed it. Secondly, this restaurant that was widely and affectionately known as a "dollar scoop" or "scoop spot" is no longer such. Where they use to charge $1.50/scoop up until last year (and, typically, quite generous scoops that required your plate's lid to be pushed down to close it), they raised it to $2/scoop later in 2025. My traditional Saturday night order of lo mien, two scoops of honey chicken, two scoops of veggies and an order of teriaki chicken skewers (so 6 scoops, basically) came to 12 dollarydoos and change, up until the most recent changes that went into effect with the new year. Now, they no longer charge by scoop, but rather by "plate size", with the "large" plate costing 15 dollars and only being 4 scoops. I forget what they were charging for the teriyaki skewers à la carte now, but whatever it was, I think my "large" plate plus a side of skewers was either just shy of or just over $20. As a little cherry on top of this disappointing sundae, the servers must have been instructed to start being very strict with their scoop sizes, because not only was my "large" plate fewer scoops than I normally get, but the servers seem to be very, shall we say, conservative, with their scoop sizes. Very small portions. I think I counted literally like 15 little bites in my 2 scoops of honey chicken, pretty much halving the generous scoop sizes I'm sure accustomed to. So yeah, tl;dr version is that what use to be a cheap but very good fast food takeout place has, in the span of a few months, more than doubled their prices while also reducing portion sizes. Not cool. The value of the food at Asian Express has always been a huge factor in making it my weekly go-to Chinese take-out spot. I get that the economy is bad right now and inflation is through the roof, but man is this all very disappointing. Bottom line, if this once cheap but very good Chinese spot is going to cut back on quality *and* quantity while also raising their prices to the same level or higher than the Chinese place I had previously been going to since high school, I may as well go back to patronizing their business instead... and I have.
