I was in the area and stopped to this spot to try the Shrimp Fried Rice and Spring Rolls. It was very quiet in there. I was waited on almost immediately. The owner was took my order and my food was done in less than 15 mins. There wasn't much flavor or uniqueness to the food. It was decent, at best. I most ate the shrimp out of the dish and a little bit of rice. I bit one of the spring rolls but didn't eat more than that. I was not provided any sauces or anything. My food was hot, and they are not permitting dining inside. They are doing takeout only. Parking is ample in the shopping center lot. read more

Been going here for about 3/4 years now and I would've given 4 stars, but they have definitely changed it up recently. They Followed the band wagon and raised prices higher about $2/meal and to sub for other rice is about $5 extra added on to a already $15 meal, Making for a dinner I should go to a restaurant and sit down to eat at $20 per plate. On top of that, I got my usual dinner which was sized DOWN to a lunch portion. I probably will just stop eating Chinese takeout all together now. Very disappointing. Ordered the seafood lomein and the shrimp fried rice and 6pc fried wings. Fried wings were good. Unfortunately everything else was not. The seafood lomein had very little meat. It's supposed to have crab meat and shrimp. I only know that because I called to confirm and complain. There were very few baby shrimp and the "crab meat" looked like Vienna sausage or some kind of pork. They ended up telling me it's imitation crab meat and it didn't look like any imitation crab meat I've ever seen. The shrimp fried rice had literally 4 baby shrimp. Three Colors Asian Kitchen is a Chinese takeout joint located in a mostly empty shopping center near the intersection of Lower Roswell Rd. and South Marietta Pkwy. (South 120 Loop). The restaurant has been around for years. I've always wondered why it's called "Three Colors" and asked the owner. He told me he didn't know -- he purchased the restaurant from the previous owner circa 2011. I guess it will always remain a mystery to me! For what it is (Chinese takeout), Three Colors is good. I've had both dine-in and takeout experiences and have been satisfied each time. Though there isn't a huge difference between these types of places, I do give an edge to Three Colors over nearby competitors like China Kitchen (South Loop) and 7 Star (Windy Hill). The food just tastes better. There is zero ambiance and minimal decor inside the restaurant. You can tell this place is designed for and primarily handles takeout and delivery orders. The interior resembles an empty office space filled with tables and booths. Combined, there are about 10 tables and booths. Like other Chinese takeout restaurants, the menu at Three Colors is huge with over 100 options. In addition to Chinese food, they also serve a wings (in several different flavors) and a limited selection of Thai dishes. If you visit for lunch, be sure to check out the lunch specials on the back of the menu. Lunch combos include soup and an egg roll and are under $6-7 each. Dinner versions of these combos are typically under $9-10 each, as are most other entrees on the menu. A good value. Deliveries within a roughly 3-mile radius require a minimum $10 purchase and there's a $2 delivery fee. If you have the paper menu, there's a coupon on the front for 2 free egg rolls or small chicken fried rice for orders $25+ and free sesame chicken for orders $30+ (takeout or delivery only). Some dishes I like and recommend are the Mongolian beef ($6.25 lunch, $8.95 dinner) and Singapore mei fun noodles ($8.95). Both are flavorful and delicious. Technically speaking, there is nothing Mongolian about Mongolian beef. It's slices of beef (flank) cooked with onions and scallions and a generous portion of a savory brown sauce partially made out of hoisin and soy sauce. It's quite tasty and served with fried rice by default, atop a bed of white crispy noodles. The fried rice here has bits of egg in it, which I like. The Singapore mei fun noodles are tasty. This noodle dish is made out of thin rice vermicelli noodles that have been cooked with a curry powder, giving the noodles their flavor and yellow-ish color. The dish is mildly spicy and comes with small tender chunks of chicken, scallion, and onion. It's a filling Cantonese comfort food and one dish I think most people would enjoy. The soups (wonton, egg drop, hot and sour) that come with the combos are par for the course. They come with those addictive crispy fried wonton wrappers. The egg rolls are fine too. All dishes are presumably loaded in sodium, but not so excessive that the dishes are unappetizing. No MSG is used and "healthy" dishes are available, though the options are slim. They are served with brown rice, instead of white rice or fried rice, and sauce on the side. Good, friendly service. read more

I ordered the kung pao chicken lunch special, it came with soup and a egg roll, the eggroll was oily, they served us hard, dry, undercooked rice, and there was more veggies and peanuts than chicken. I was utterly disappointed. My Hunni say's I ordered the wrong meal, but it should not matter what I ordered, it should have been on point. I may give them another chance ( only if I'm not buying ). I don't know what happened? I have never seen an appetizer sized spring roll served as a spring roll in a Chinese restaurant before. I've been eating with them since they've opened and this will be the last time these were $3.45. that makes each of these tiny little spring rolls $1.72 apiece. Are you serious. Portions are usually good for the money or at least of value but not in this case. And I'm starting to think these are frozen appetizers that they're cooking up. Well I've always wondered if I should stop ordering from them and now I know. So onto my beef and broccoli. Yeah it was absolutely horrendous. The beef is cooked well the broccoli was cooked well but it was bathing in nothing but oil and soy sauce. How do I know this I used to be a chef and a human with taste buds. There was not one bit of onion, garlic any seasoning whatsoever. I usually avoid MSG but I began craving it here. I actually had to pour off the oil liquid throw some teriyaki sauce onion garlic and sesame seeds into a pan and re-toss the beef and broccoli in which over cooked my beef and my broccoli by a hair. But at least the slightly tough meat had more flavor. Eating my socks would've had more flavor than what they served me. Spent $21 on this catastrophe of a meal. There is not one good Chinese restaurant left in Cobb county. It's very sad. Do you want me to teach you how to cook let me know and I'm more than happy to come in on an afternoon off. Wondered why it was less expensive than where we normally go (Great wall), but in receiving this order, it is apparent. It's actually less than half a normal portion. No leftovers will be had. Ordered from Three Colors Asian Kitchen for the first time today. I was given and ETA of 40-45 mins and the food was piping hot and at my door in 20 mins. I was shocked at the speed. Portions are big and food is really solid Cantonese food. Well worth the money if you're feeding your family. I ordered one small lo mein, General Tso's Shrimp and Pork with Green Beans and this is easily enough food for 4-6 people. First time eating here and I was very disappointed. Spent 41 dollars on 3 meals. The only thing is that the food was ready on time in the 15 minutes they said. We ordered Kung Pao Shrimp it was not breaded which was great but it taste very fishy. The sauce was okay. Garlic pepper wings were very dry and just had a ton of black pepper on them. Yikes. We just placed our first order from this place after putting all the east cobb Chinese restaurants on hold for lack of consistency. The good news is the egg dRop and wonton soup were liked by all but the other $70 of food was tossed . Two kids had to hold back gag reflexes as they chewed on something that was supposed to be chicken but had the texture of red meat . Wings looked liKe something outta the ash tray newked so long the meat almost shriveled all the way off the bone leaving just crunchy ligaments . Egg rolls and spring rolls taste straight outta the banquet frozen food section at Walmart ....not sure why sesame chicken was an a Orange color but it was just so chewy it really didn't matter what color it was it woUld have been turned down by anYone . My favorite is the shrimp fried rice and normally I'd give them 5 stars, but today it wasn't too good... not up to par. Egg from soup was barely warm. The green peas in the fried rice were half whitish and chewy. The egg roll was also barely warm and tasted like it came from a grocery store. Step it up guys, or you're going to loose business! In the midst of packing the house for a move, the craving for Thai food hit. Our usual restaurants were either closed on Sunday or closed for lunch, so fellow-Yelpers directed us here. As usual, the positive reviews were dead-on. The shrimp Pud Thai was divine and full of perfectly cooked shrimp as opposed to tiny, overcooked pieces as sometimes accompany this dish in a fast food kinda place. The Cashew chicken might have been the best I have every had, and for a $7.25 lunch special with soup and an egg roll, it was hard to beat. I will share that the spring rolls were not so great, seemed to have been wrapped about 6 times too many in the rice paper, but for how good the meal was, and the amount of food, I can forgive them for having something that is average. read more

This is only the first time I get take out from Three Colors but I feel it was solid all the way around. The place is NOT pretty. If you are looking for a nice place to dine, this is not it. Its basic and plain and in the middle of a very empty still mall. I ordered a shrimp fried rice, a chicken lo mein and a beef with broccoli. I also got a hot and sour soup. Kudos to them for actually making the soup spicy which in many other places it isn't! The shrimp in the rice were a decent size, not those tiny shrimp you usually get that you kind of need a microscope to find. But the best thing about this meal was the lo mein by far!!! It was delicious and a very very healthy portion both as a main dish and as a main side with the beef with broccoli. My only complain about the food was that I found the meat to be a little on the chewy side. But as for the rest of it, it was great. I spent $28 for everything and felt I got a very good deal since we are four and 3 of us had repeats. Overall a great deal! read more

I don't know if I got lucky with an amazing chef last night or what but I'm updating my review! I ordered at 10:30 pm, just 30 minutes before closing but it wasn't an issue. My food was hot, fresh and deliciously delivered in like 30 mins y'all! And it was a completely different taste experience. I got crab Rangoon's and they somehow still arrived crispy and amazing, house lo mein (the beef was super tender), egg rolls and hot and sour soup. With tip and a canned soda it was about $27.
