Thai Spring Rolls and a peanut sauce
    Johanne R.

This venue is located in the mini mall. It's located in a nook of the mini mall. There is plenty of parking. The venue is pretty large. Good for large groups. The restrooms were very clean. It's very calm with low music. You can hear your party speaking. They don't have fountain drinks. They have a small bar with limited beverages. There's also a widescreen television. The service was professional. The food came out quickly. We had Crispy Shrimp, Steamed Dumplings, Spicy Pork Noodles, Thai Spring Rolls, and Chicken Fried Rice. The food wasn't much to write home about. The flavors were just fair & food presentation was average. On an aside, the food heats up well as leftovers. The best thing was the Crispy Shrimp, next were the Spring Rolls and lastly the Chicken Fried Rice. The complimentary Fortune Cookies had positive fortunes. Overall, this venue failed to tickle my fancy, LOL. As always I end with, "will I return"? My Fortune Cookie thinks not.

The server explained we missed this sign that was under a plant at the front of the restaurant.

The second star is for the food as it was good, but sadly the service was abysmal. No courteousness. No accountability. No transparency. Our server arrived to our table frustrated and irritable. We asked if there was a kids menu for three children 10 and under and she responded with a simple "no". No further options or suggestions from regular menu. It took over an hour for our main courses to arrive. Half the party of nine had completely finished their meals before the rest got theirs. The explanation was that the kitchen ignored her instructions. Then, the server felt compelled to advise us to come again on a weekday for better service. No, thank you: we would rather go to one of the other hundreds of Thai cuisine restaurants in the metro ATL area with hopes of equally good food and better service on a weekend. Finally, the bill comes (and as the picture shows) good luck knowing what you were charged for when it finally did come out (see pic). Then, it made sense why we couldn't find her for 30 min while inquiring about the timing of our entrees, she knew she had a 20% gratuity regardless. Then there is a clear price discrepancy between several items on the bill and the menu price. Our server unapologetically explains that we missed the sign when we came in saying the menu prices are basically suggestions. Yes, we missed this "prices are not what you see" sign hidden under a plant when we walked in-thanks.

Review based on 1 lunch meal on a Monday. I had the Beef Larb. How have I missed eating this!?! I am doing low carb so this ground beef salad served with cabbage leaves is ideal. Someone reviewed this place on Google with lower stars claiming they only had one Thai item and all other dishes were Chinese. Definitely not true. Meal was under $13.00 which is pretty right on. I am actively adding items to my grocery cart to recreate this best of my ability. I will be back for sure! Yummy

A true hidden gem in East Cobb nestled in the corner nothing fancy about the inside. Now let's get straight to the real reason I'm typing this review from the moment you step inside you are greeted and seated ASAP. The host, waitstaff, and management all cater to you and your party everyone is treated like royalty!!! "OMG" the food is prepared fresh when you order they bring it out in a timely fashion where you don't feel rushed but not a long wait. The food tastes absolutely delicious no matter what you order well-seasoned, fresh ingredients, great portions ,true authentic Thai. Did I mention we've been going here for a while now but I wanted to keep it a secret so it doesn't become too crowded but it's too good not to share. My husband, son, and I can't get enough of it let's just say they are our favorite THAI RESTAURANT!!

This was our first time here Local neighborhood gem for when you are craving good food fast! We got seated right away and service was fast. They have a great dinner deal for $17 you get soup, salad, spring roll and an entree. Can't beat the price. Everything came out fast and it was also tasty. We will definitely be back. They also have great lunch specials for $9.50.

This may be one of the best Thai restaurants I've experienced. From start to finish, we had a terrific experience. The spring rolls are made in house and you can taste the difference. There is a sweetness to them that I don't think I've experienced at any other location. The coconut chicken soup was soothing to my throat and creamy. It was served lukewarm so as not to be too hot. My curry fried rice was amazing! I loved the sweet spice and smoky flavor, the huge and copious shrimp, and the preparation of the tofu. The servers were personable, accommodations, and fast. This is a restaurant well-done. I think I might return for lunch today? Bravo!

    (Half eaten) Panang curry tofu!

Lemongrass is a consistently great Thai restaurant, with delicious food, excellent customer service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I've been coming here for years, and over time tried numerous solid dishes but keep coming back to the Panang curry with tofu. It's sweet, rich, and I get nice and spicy. I eat meat, but think tofu is the way to go with this dish. Also highly recommend the chicken coco soup and trying the cheese roll. It's also really great value for money, especially the Family Dinner. I used to live closer but still it's now a go to when stopping in the area.

5/5 Wimal Authentic Thai…read moreIn town for a work trip, I stopped by Wimal Authentic Thai for some chicken fried rice and spring rolls. The location is in a decent enough spot, but I'd definitely recommend locking your car doors just to be safe. The restaurant is pretty small inside, so I went with a pickup order instead. The food was made with fresh ingredients, and the chicken fried rice was solid -- nothing mind-blowing, but a good baseline Thai-style version. The portions were average, and the spring rolls were decent too. Price-wise, it was pretty standard -- not too expensive, not a steal either. Overall, it was exactly what I ordered and expected. Would I go back? Probably if there weren't better options nearby. I did try a couple other Thai spots in the area that gave bigger portions, better value, and noticeably tastier food. But if Wimal is your most convenient choice, it'll get the job done.

Not the biggest fan of their pad Thai - too sweet, not enough other seasonings to balance it out. The papaya salad is a rock star though - crunchy, flavorful, spicy! Today my wife and I were intentionally seeking out something spectacular. I found Soi 3 Thai Street Food here on Yelp (as one should do) and I felt good about what I saw, from the menu, to the pics, to the reviews. My god I'm glad we turned off of the main drag and came here. We were greeted and seated right away. We came a little early and it was not too busy. Service wise, our experience started off REALLY well. Our server was Tarik. This place better hang on to this guy. When I say it was the best service in 5 years in any restaurant I've eaten in lately, I am not exaggerating. We let him know that this was our first time in and asked for recommendations. He went through each of the sections with us and highlighted a few. He really knows the menu and that's increasingly rare these days in most restaurants. I landed on the Gai Yang Chicken which was a quarter chicken with both white and dark meat. This had the smokiest, garlicky flavor that I will dream about. It came with lettuce wraps, carrot sticks and the most amazing Nam Jim Jeaw sauce which was unreal. Fish sauce and fresh herbs and scallions. How could you go wrong? Tangy, herbaceous, a little sweet and salty. Pro move suggested by Tarik: Make lettuce wraps with what you get and dip it in the sauce. My wife had the Gaeng Massaman Gai. Hands down some of the best Massaman curry I have ever had anywhere. It was more brothy (is that a word?) than I've had, but a lot of times when you order this dish, the potatoes make it super thick. This was lighter with fresh potatoes and pearl onions that were sweet from the sauce, almost like grapes oddly enough. Really loved the textures of this dish. We had purple Jasmine rice which was excellent. The only slightly disappointing dish we had was our dumpling appetizer. Not a lot of flavor there and I would have loved a little heat in the sauce or the dumplings. Really not bad but I would have skipped that. The restaurant had a very nice vibe. The lighting was perfect for pics and ambience. Looked like it had a well stocked bar and many selections from wine to beer and cocktails. I absolutely loved this place and our experience and service was 10 stars! Will definitely ask for Tarik each time and we will be back. Run to this restaurant!

I really don't know what happened here …read more.. Against our better judgement, a friend and I chose this place as a back-up option since our first choice was closing for lunch orders. Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw the limited menu and some of the options (I LOVE Thai food and have had variations in many parts of the world). BUT I was encouraged to know there were at least two vegan entree options on the menu. No. Never again. Not at all. The spring rolls were the most minuscule versions I've ever had. The casing was weird, to say the least, and the flavor was barely there. We ordered a broccoli entree to share. Check out the photos for yourself. WHERE IS THE BROCCOLI?!? My friend's meal was BLAND. My meal was better but the peppers were almost raw. The BEST thing we had was the roti. ROTI. At a Thai restaurant. The absolute best thing on the menu was roti?! No meatless curry options with ample veggies. Not one rice dish, served with veggies. Lots of chicken ‍. Lots of fish oil ‍. Roti was the best thing we ate. And don't even bother with the purple rice. Absolutely disappointed. The server was kind although our 2nd order of roti went to the wrong table - they gladly accepted it with no questions asked - because she was conducting what looked like an interview in between checking on our table. If you've read my reviews you know anything less than 4-5 stars is RARE. I honestly don't understand what happened during my experience at this restaurant but definitely will not be returning.

You know the type -- pretty basic, nothing above average, real safe and generic. That's usually why I end up sticking to my regular Thai spot when I'm out of town, but I figured I'd give Tubtim Siam a try before my trip wrapped up. I actually saw the place a couple days earlier but they close kinda early, so I missed it the first time. Luckily I was able to catch them right in time this night, and let me tell you -- they did not disappoint at all. It sits in one of those strip mall locations that looks a little sketchy from the outside, but once you're in, it feels safe enough. The actual restaurant is real modest -- nothing too fancy, just a chill vibe with a couple families and other people sitting in eating and enjoying their meals while we placed our order. I went with takeout: chicken fried rice and some chicken wings to take back to the room. Baby, when that fried rice came out... the portion was huge, like they weren't playing around at all. And the flavor? Whew -- it was immaculate. Not only the best Thai fried rice in this city, but easily one of the best I've had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned, loaded with all the right stuff, and it actually tasted like real homemade Thai food. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with good flavor too. For the price, both items gave way more than what I was expecting. Everything was on point. This spot really came through and saved my whole week of eating out. No cap -- I'm giving them a solid 5 stars. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely making my way back to Tubtim Siam again.
