Elderly lady that works there is super grumpy, makes the subs awfully. Other two workers were nice. But she ruined the whole experience.

The bread is not soggy and there is a balance of corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese and sauce. I ate three of them there during the Frankenmuth Oktoberfest and I was pleased with all them. I highly recommend you give them a try. If you want an alcoholic beverage, you can take your food into the adjacent bar and eat it there. Lots of parking on the east side of the building. Too bad I live in Nevada; I sure would like another of their Reubens right about now.

But we just wanted lunch so it was fine! The menu is small but it was fine - we all found something we liked and when one of us didn't, the person behind the counter made her a grilled sandwich to order. I got a grilled chicken BLT. It was not a traditional chicken breast but something along the lines of a chipped chicken lunchmeat. Overall, it was "ok" - it tasted ok and it filled my stomach. The custom grilled sandwich was a tad soggy but tasted "ok" as did the meatball sub. No serious complaints but nothing exceptional either. Maybe it was just our preferences or maybe it was just who was cooking that day. ‍

Walking in feels like the universe hit pause somewhere in the best way. Same feel, same energy, same kind of place you can count on without thinking twice. It's like being teleported back to exactly where you're supposed to be. And the food? Exactly what it should be. No pretending to be healthy, no overthinking it. Just straight, unapologetic comfort. I go there for one thing every time: the hot beef sandwich. Massive. Smothered in gravy... and I mean gravy everywhere. The kind where you don't just eat it, you commit to it. Fries? Those are getting dipped in gravy too, no question. It's excessive in the best possible way. The portions are out of control. You're not finishing it. You're not even pretending to. You're leaving with enough leftovers for the next couple of days and you're not mad about it. It's the kind of meal that feels a little sinful, but worth every second. You'll deal with forgiveness later. Hometown, no-frills, real-deal comfort food that hasn't lost its identity over time. And honestly, that's rare.

We ordered a 3 piece fish and chips to share. The coleslaw was tasty and ample. The fish were very large pieces, but not the best tasting cod. Meh. The fries were horrible. Looked like the grease was old, so definitely dark brown, but not crisp. There are 2 things that made this a less than event. The cashier! She was snippy and just not nice. The 2nd thing was that we were charged .75 for an extra plate! Now, it isn't that i mind the charge, but we were not made aware of it when we ordered. Would we have been charged if we ate off the same plate? This kind of nickel and diming makes you not want to return. We paid cash, but beware they charge 3% for using a credit card. We won't return. We won't recommend. There are far better places to eat.

The bar was quiet, calm, dark and cold but seemed like a chill vibe. Our waitress was okay, service was quick and she did her job well but didn't smile and wasn't very talkative or seemingly friendly. We asked what her favorite appetizers were and we ordered the Loaded Potato Balls based on her recommendation - they were great! 10/10! Loaded with flavor, very moist and served with 3 sauces - ranch, spicy ranch and sour cream. The ranch and spicy ranch were not great - tastes like they're bottled not homemade. The sour cream though, that was a good compliment. We both ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich - 10/10! They're hand breaded, juicy and tender chicken breasts topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo on a perfectly warm brioche bun. Our meal was served so hot, it was perfect. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich! The homemade chips for the side were great, crispy and lightly seasoned. I had the tater tots with mine and they tasted freezer burnt, wouldn't get them again. We also had a side of their house made coleslaw and it was perfect, ice cold and a great balance of flavor. Draft beer wasn't super cold - it would be better served in a frosted glass. Overall- it's good, we'd come again! Next time we'd sit at the bar top as the bartenders seemed to enjoy more casual conversation and friendly vibes with their customers.

A friend (worked) for this company while back and she only got 29 hours a week & wanted full time. The company is cheap, the pay is low. At their Xmas party in Frankinmuth 2024, he thanked all employees because profits were way up. BUT then said there wouldn't be any Christmas bonuses that year. Why even say this, after saying profits are way up? Even if he thought is was a funny joke,it really isn't when ppl are paid poverty wages. This isn't funny in these days and times. I heard this from my friend and thought " what a turd bag".Ppl don't have to work there, but the poverty wages make the company look pathetic and greedy. They are short staffed a lot. Maybe because the pay. COME ON, pay your ppl so they can at least pay rent and eat a little. They should turn the air conditioner on or fix it too, with their record high profits, its hot in there!! Low pay,no profit sharing, no bonuses, no dental, medical, optical. No incentives ,no A/C all hot summer. No wonder they are short staffed all the time. Oh well, many companies do this too.
