One particular individual has an almost entirely bleached t-shirt with bleached hand prints on it...does the owner not supply new shirts for the staff?!?! 8/10 times that I order here, my food is completely wrong. Sometimes I even have to repeat myself multiple times just to get what I'm saying to be written down on the order sheet...it's nonsense. Honestly, I'd rather leave a lower review, but the bagel sandwiches are just phenomenal in my opinion when I get what I asked for on it! It's not the food here that sucks, it's the service! If the food tastes amazing I'm still coming, but I really wish the new owner could figure out something to get things moving quicker and the staff caring more about their appearance! If you are traveling (or just need fuel) you can fill up at the fuel pumps while grabbing a bite to eat, as this restaurant is connected to a gas station! The brisket here is tender and has a great balance of fat and lean meat. Their competition sauce goes great with it, along with some freshly brewed sweet tea to chug it down! The jalapeño mac and cheese is awesome but you can definitely taste the jalapeño. It is not subtle. They also give you a biscuit AND a slice of cornbread! Even though this is a "help yourself" restaurant with free seating and grab-it-yourself utensils, there is an employee frequently walking around asking if he can refill your drinks and is welcome to strike up a conversation with you. The one in particular is extremely friendly, and is always at the restaurant to make your experience more enjoyable!

We ordered a chocolate milkshake, which I understand they make by mixing vanilla custard with chocolate syrup, but it looked quite unappealing to receive a drink that was completely white at the bottom and looked very evidently unmixed. I asked the server at the drive-thru window if he could remake it and mix it more because it didn't look mixed, and instead, they sent another server to go over and tell me this was how it comes. I tried to explain that it didn't look fully incorporated, but she assured me it was the way they come and this was chocolate-y enough. After leaving the drive-thru, we looked at the milkshake in the car and saw how white the bottom was, not to mention it tasting clearly vanilla when you drank it. My husband went back to ask them to remake it and explained it looked unappealing the way it was made, and to ensure that it would be made to look fully mixed, and not half blended with chocolate syrup. They argued with him that it was their policy to make it that way and that they couldn't make it any other way...... right. So despite a customer explicitly asking you to ensure the milkshake looks like an actual milkshake and not a half blended mess, your "policy" prevents you from attempting that. Honestly it looked worse than before and completely ruined the experience. We frequent this location a lot, and the service has continued to go downhill over the years, but after the way they handled this tonight, I am extremely disappointed and unimpressed. As someone who worked in the service industry for years, it's shocking to see how little servers seem to care about the customer experience anymore and how poor of a job they manage to get away with. On the other hand, the drive to Culver's was well worth it for actual decent looking drinks and food, and a more hospitable waitstaff. Will definitely make the commute to any other restaurant from here on out to avoid such poor customer service and food quality.
